Stevie Ray Vaughn would be so proud if he ever got to listen to this kid. 👍
Thank you for the kind words. Stevie is one of my biggest influences on my guitar playing, so that means a lot to me.
@@hanskorn you’re welcome. He influenced me as well. Along with Billy Gibbons and Angus Young.
Hi Hans, I have many strats and many Fender pickups, but this week I was put a pure vintage in the Fernandes Revival strat and it is the best SRV tone I have ever.
Sounds awesome!
Wow those tones are amazing. Are you using the speakers built into the Yamaha THR10II or a different speaker?
Thanks! I’m using the stock speakers only.
wow man...you are a master.
Great Hans
Awesome SRV Style playing and what a great tone. Do we need really 4000 Euro Custom Shop Strats? 😃👍
Thank you! These Squiers certainly get the job done, but I wouldn’t mind a Suhr as my endgame guitar!
@@hanskorn have you checked the Schecter Nick Johnston. I have the poor mans Diamond Model. Great Guitar with Suhr Optic 😉
Yes! That’s actually been on my radar for the past year. How is it? Does it feel and sound similar to a strat? But they sound great based on the many demos on RUclips. I want to try it out in person first, but no models available locally.
@@hanskorn yes very strat like. The neck Profile is 14 inch but it is a real neck with meat 👌 not like an ibanez rg. Very comfortably to play. SSS or HSS configuration.
Nice! Good to hear that it’s still straty despite having some modern specs. Will definitely check those out before I consider breaking the bank on a Suhr.
is it straight from the amp, or is there any additional effect?
Straight to the amp.
Did you swap the stock white Pickguard to this one?
No, it came with the tortoise shell pickguard. I believe these earlier models came stock with them unlike the latest ones which come with the white.
@@hanskorn Cool! I just bought one, can’t wait to get my hands on it. I’ll swap out the white pickguard for tortoise shell for same look. Awesome playing bro, not only spot on with your tone but you play Texas Flood without any backing track and still make it sound very musical and not just a bunch of riffs which isn’t easy. Nice job!
@@stratslinger3921 Thanks! Congrats on your new Squier! They are amazing guitars especially for the price.
I have that same guitar and several Mexican and Japanese Fender Strats. Saying that the Squier CV60 is the one I use the most. I love the comfort of the thin neck and the sound of the pickups. Better than many models twice and triple expensive. If I put Fender we would think it is better and that is the mistake.
Fantastic tone and great playing! Can you share THR settings or preset file used in this video?

@@hanskorn Thanks!
backing track kinda works...
Perfect neck!..It's as if the legend of the 80s is returning... The magic is not in labels, but in labor, passion and mastery!..
Is the neck Indian laurel or rosewood?
Rosewood
Very nice. Is this straight into the THR10 ?
Thanks. Yes, straight into the amp.
Dude, you better play man! Rock on!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Great SRV tone kid. What is your rig?
Thanks! I used a Yamaha THR10 II desktop amp for this video.
@@hanskorn Thank you.
How come you do not have more subscribers and views?
Beautiful guitar and music
Thanks!
cool man👍🏼 I got one a few yrs back and I love this axe. enjoy!
I have one of these excellent guitars. Love the sound w 11s. Smooth bends. Absolute joy to play. Switched the pups to blues specials as I thought the originals were slightly too tinny and raspy…the only weak spot in these guitars imo. Could possibly sound better stock w pure nickel strings.
The way his fidgets his fingers around the fretboard it almost has its own MOJO of SRV in other words Stevie Ray Vaughn finger impersonation.
Awesome! I love classic vibes series. Cool tone, greetings from argentina
Love it man!!!!! I've same one but I have player series guard loaded same tortoise ...sounds amazing. Sadly I only use digital gt1. Wish I had a good clean amp to get better review of tones. Hahah. This is rad.
Thanks Robert! I also use a Boss GT1! It’s such a versatile, convenient piece of gear and more than enough for what I’m doing.
@@hanskorn that's great!!! I regret selling mine. Someone gave me a me80 tho and now I'm using it. Hahahahah. Dude you are amazing.
I wish I had the stock pups to reference the player series pups in mine to. You have any idea if the player pups are on par with the cv set?
Stevie Ray Vaughan? Is it you?
Is that a sube treamer? 😁
I just picked up a 2017 model exactly like yours, still had plastic on it and factory strings! It's a great strat no doubt. I also have a 2019 50s in fiesta red with maple neck and prefer the alnico 3 pups in it, compared to the 60s. I am looking to put a real bone nut in the 60s model, bone for tone baby!
Hey Mark. I went straight to the amp for this video.
@@hanskorn Cool, must be a good one!
I remember to Eric Clapton
That's some great playing man!
Awesome 👏🏻
Thanks Jeff!

U didn’t use any tube screamer ??
@@jonasmusic2112 No tube screamer, just straight to the amp.
indian laurel fretboard?
I believe it’s rosewood since this guitar was from 2016 and they were still using rosewood for fretboards at that time.
This guu is a monster player
Wowwww i love his playing incredible
Thank you, Mark!
Your very welcome
Your very deserving, you play so incredibly well, i can listen to you for hours, this is rock blues
I absolutely love it
What gauge? For strings
Hey Miguel. I was using 10-46 here.
