I like this design, display size and ANBERNIC Linux stock firmware! Wish the battery was a little bigger, though I can look beyond that for now. Also, I appreciate the added ports!
The added ports are a bad thing, because these are pirated copies. Additionally, this could cause big problems for PortMaster if they keep including pirated copies. We could end up with PortMaster getting in legal trouble and shutting down, all because of Anbernic. And it's different compared to retro ROMs, because these are modern games that are still being sold.
@@skewyangel I think people are overreacting about the ports. It's only a few games and a very narrow selection of games (only certain titles). If Portmaster was really in any trouble it would have happened long ago. These handhelds from China have been giving us free ports for at least 10 yrs, every since they made the 1st retro handhelds! Every since I've bought my 1st retro handhelds. If the ports bother you that much, you don't have to buy the handheld. No one is forcing you to purchase it.
they should have at least kept the specs from the 405M if not used the specs from the 556/cube. the screen quality should have jumped up to a 960x720 4" and the battery in the 4,000 - 5,000 range. i think they nailed the button layout. this is exactly what i would want a 405M version 2 to look like. if this device could play GC & PS2 it would be perfect

As long as the sleep mode isnt sorted i dont see a point in investing in anymore Anbernic Linux devices. Recently got the Trimui Smart Pro and the sleep mode works like a charm
The stock Anbernic software sucks, but muOS works like a charm and has non-battery draining hibernation. With a wakeup time of 6 seconds, it's perfect (for me at least).
Please DON"T abandon the 6-Button design found in the RG ARC--D. Please make a second version with more capable hardware to actually play the entire SEGA Saturn library and also add an analog stick to cater to SEGA Dreamcast, the 6-Button is far superior than all the 4-Button handhelds. the market is flooded with these already and honestly its a bit overwhelming. Be brave again and make it one more time please. This would be a huge hit and will be the ultimate SEGA handheld

If I could change a few specs with the RG40XXH, here is what I would change: 1. It would have a 4,000mAh battery. 2. It would have no analog sticks. 3. It would have the same style inline triggers as the RG35XXH. What I would keep: 1. The H700 chip along with the ANBERNIC Linux stock firmware. 2. The set of down firing stereo speakers. 3. The 4 inch 4:3 aspect ratio display 4. The dual micro sd card setup. 5. The overall PS-Vita style console shape.
Please don't include whole ports of games with data. Just include the portmaster itself, we can install our games ourselves. Otherwise the game companies like Rockstar will definitely attack portmaster and the whole community will be screwed...
I've been waiting for a quality 4" or 5" 4:3 system with a top d-pad but with the low performance, clicky shoulders... Just get the RG Cube and wait for something better.
I don't even understand where this is coming from. Who the hell started those clicky shoulder buttons, anyway? I hate them! Even if it's not that loud, as long as it's clicky I don't like them. I prefer quiet conductive rubber shoulder buttons as they are on the SNES or PS controllers.
The battery should have been at least 3500mAh (and there's space to it). So we can assume that the RG35xx Plus, H and SP will last longer since the screen is 3.5 inch and they don't have RGB lights.
This is a budget device. Much lower spec than the Cube in terms of processor. Also Cube has analogue triggers. People complaining that the spec is not as good as the Cube are missing the point - this device is in the xx range which are budget devices around the 45 to 80$ price point.
Hi Anbernic team, I would like to suggest an improvement to the design of your consoles. Currently, the placement of micro SD cards is not very practical. It would be great if you could implement a tray for micro SD cards similar to the ones used in mobile phones. @@kreatur3able Of the Anbernic consoles I have, I took out the microSD cards about 5 times and then never again. Besides, as there are so many models, community support starts to decline, so it is not necessary to keep changing the operating system.

Please Anbernic; (as an owner of the RG35XXH) can I please ask you stop including the ports. It's great that the XX consoles can now run Portmaster but it leaves a bad taste on my mouth that the firmware includes pirates versions of games that can still be bought. Several indy titles released by small developers. It's one thing including roms to long forgotten about games but including these ports is just going to have a negative impact on our hobby and the industry.
With Nintendo's recent legal action, these companies need to get ahead of the lawsuits and just stop offering loaded SD cards. I know there will be some business impact, but it will be nowhere near the blow of that lawsuit.
I agree fully. I'm a modder and reseller and it puts us in a really sticky situation to include Nintendo roms. It would be best if consoles came with zero Nintendo roms.

So for the IP Holders (if they went the Nintendo route) would be to go after Port Master. Which wouldn't be very fair as they're quite vocal against piracy. So this is literally just the H, but with a bigger screen and stacked triggers. Hard pass. Next time, put in a chipset like the T618 in the 405M, and you might've convinced me (the 405M doesn't have Dpad on top or stacked triggers, so this would've been perfect for me)

You got SOOOO much right though! =) PROS: linux, 2 sd slots, stacked shoulder buttons start/select menu buttons BELOW controls, but then.... CONS: R2 and L2 are NOT analogue, only one usb-c, not powerfule enough to run ALL Game Cube and PS2 at 60fps at 1x res. include the CONS you missed in a 5" screen model and I'm finally sold on the perfect handheld (imo)

Anbernic, having shoulder buttons with a "Crisp Sound" is not a feature. The RG ARC shoulder buttons were better than this.

Great Anbernic, please improve the Anbernic RG35XX H firmware, add the duckstation core for Playstation, it's the best emulator there is for PS1.
Better to use a custom firmware like muOS. It also has true hibernation, instead of the battery draining option that Anbernic offers.

It's an RG35XX-H with the housing changed and with RGB. This launch doesn't make sense, at least put 2GB RAM.
