I was excited for this until I learned what chip set it was, rg35xxh with light up sticks and less pocketable...yippie 😮💨
Haha. I get that. It definitely could’ve been more exciting. The chipset hasn’t been confirmed yet, but based on what I can see I think it has to be the H700. That is good for the customer firmwares in development though. It’ll be easier to make it run on all of these devices.
Ummm… wouldn’t it be labeled as RG35xxH??? The RG35 means the chip that it has. RG40 means a different chip!
@@OgbWinter naw just means its a bigger screen. 35xx= 3.5in. 40= 4in
@OgbWinter no mate, 35 is referencing the 3.5 inch display. This one had 4 inch, therefore RG40
Genuinely don’t know why they wouldn’t use the same guts as the 556 and cube. A 4:3 with some power is what we’re missing.
I am hoping for a new version of the Trimui Smart Pro. Better performance and improved sticks and triggers, please.

@@jonathonearl482 6 hours is its potential max. Practically, we’ll probably get 3 to 4. But that’s still decent enough I guess. 🙂
I would buy this. I am actually waiting for a console with a form factor like this as I dont like the design of the RG35XX H.

Kinda over devices with dual sticks that can barely play games that need them. I'll probably stick with the 35xx H and the trimui. Not gaining much here over the 35XXH besides slightly better ergos and stacked triggers. rgb is take it or leave it for me. showcasing moonlight streaming seems kinda silly to me with a 4:3 screen.
Yeah, I’m definitely looking forward to a year or two from now when we have $75 handhelds that run ps2 and GameCube. If you already have an H and Smart Pro, I’d just stick with that. Thanks for watching! 👍

I like the Trimui like shape. If the Reviews are good i would rather get this over the 35xxH depending on the price. The stacked triggers should be a better experience than the triggers on the H (theoretically). I like the trasparent black coulour over the other colours. Didn't think of the pixel density issue, that could be a downer, The tag line has gotta be a "Chinglish" or chinese english translation isn't it?
The tagline makes me laugh. That's all I know. Haha. Yes, the stacked triggers look nice. They went and put a smaller battery in this one though, and that just baffles me. It's always something with Anbernic. 🙄🙂

As someone that enjoys a lot of GBA games, I’m disappointed that this model doesn’t have a wide screen. Guess I’ll stay with my Trimui Smart Pro for a while.
The TrimUI is still a cool device! Unfortunately there’s not a screen size (or button layout) that’s optimal for every system. Happy gaming and thanks for watching!
How are GBA games and widescreen connected? If anything, you should be happy that is doesn't have one, widescreen is only useful for PSP emulation for this type of chipsets
Time for a better chipset and higher resolution.
Maybe next year. Seems like they’re sticking with the H700 and the T820 this year.
In terms of horizontal this is my favorite I will be buying, but for vertical I wish anbernic can make a device similar to the rg35xx but will the power of a 353v just without the analog sticks that would be the ideal vertical handheld
Yeah. I think what you're describing is the RG35XX Plus. It has the power of the 353V and no analog sticks. What color 40XX H are you going to get?

Well, since it’s not out yet it’s hard to say for sure. Performance wise it will be the same.

screen resolution is the same as the H and Plus just a bit larger. Not really an upgrade more like going sideways.
No. If you have either of those, I wouldn’t get this. It’s a lateral move at best.
They reinvented the TrimUI Smart Pro
To this day, the RG353 handhelds running ArkOS give the best performance.
i think it would be good for console emulation games like SNES & PS1
i used to play on 20 inch tv, so 2 or 3 inch screen feels too much of a downsize
I used to have a 20 inch tv too! Sat way too close to it all the time. 😂 And yes, this will be good for those systems.

I'm looking for a device with a really good d-pad for fighting games. Bought powkiddy x55 and it's definitely not it. Any recommendations?

Haha. Basically. At least that’s what I expect. Again, the specs haven’t been officially announced yet. I think they’ll announce those sometime this week.
Looks nice, but wrong chip tbh. I really liked the 405 series, but the M was for me super uncomfortable. This one looks much nicer and comfortabler but with that chip, it's limited to max DC or N64. It's not bad, but definitely not great.

I only play up to PS1 so these low end mobile chips sets are great. Already have a 35xxh and have no need for this thing. Actually any more of these things. Happy with my H and I'll use it until it stops working, and only then will I consider replacing it.
I have the RG405V screen size is cool but definition is pretty bad
I still waiting affordable handheld powered by Android and at least use T606-T616 or Helio G85/G88 with 4-6gb ram and 128gb rom, I mean now days I can get phone using those chip under 100$ these days, and its have power to play up to Dreamcast and can play some PS2 game (mostly 2D) without any problem.
I miss when things were held, loved and taken care of for years.. Market flooding is sad.. We dont care about shit any more.. Cant taste it fully at this rythm..

WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS IF IT DOESN'T HAVE A MORE POWERFUL CHIPSET? THIS IS A BIGGER RGXX35 PLUS MODEL, i HAVE THAT, I DON'T WANT ANOTHER ONE THAT'S SLIGHTLY BIGGER WITH THE SAME POWER....
I'm so disappointed in anbernic for this one. Why? This could've literally been the rg406m or rg406p with 8gb ram instead of a 35xx h with a bigger screen. I could get an rg cube but it doesn't look like it's pocketable. This model strikes a balance between size, ergonomics and pocketability.
If this thing is more than 70 bucks I’ll have to pass on it.
Well, the 35XX H is $68. This has a bigger screen and rgb lighting, so I think this is gonna come in between $75 and $80. Hopefully no more.

I like it more because of the smaller screen. 4 inch for me is the best for retro games. I'm struggling my eyes with the 3,5 ones.
This market is becoming so saturated with similar releases that it's only a matter of time until everybody loses interest. There are zero reasons to upgrade from a 35xx H to this one. I was expecting something that could emulate gamecube or something but found the same 35xx SP released a month ago with a different form factor.
Those devices are out there that can do that.
The price is the reason they're not upgrading internal specs. Need a mid tier smartphone chip for GameCube/PS2.

Yep. If you don’t have any of these H700 devices, this might be the “definitive version”. We’ll see. But if you already have one, you don’t need this.
