Bigger device. Bigger screen. Smaller battery. Genius move.
They always have to have ONE fatal flaw. *sigh*
If they gave us a perfect device, there wouldn't be anything left to sell us next week. Haha.
@@BoKnowsGaming Somehow I think they'd still manage to make a new handheld next month! 😂😂
@@BoKnowsGaming Nintendo didn't believe this!
Even SNK did this right!
Trimui Smart Pro success must be making them terribly nervous in this Anbernic. And the fact that they have Vulcan in their A133, while Ambernic does not, even though it supports them in the H700 specification. It is also surprising that only now, after a year, the RG33xxH received 64-bit Linux
I have been waiting for a 4" device like that. The 405m is very good but it's pricy and I wanted more budget friendly. The Arc didn't have a stick although it could have played a lot of games with a stick... So yeah, this one seems to fit my needs
The battery is a strange choice, maybe they didn't have a supplier for a better one, I won't be surprised if there is a revision once they aquire better battery that would fit.
I couldn't care less for the RGB around the sticks. I would probably turn them off if I can or leave them at a very low intensity breathing/glow. What I wanted is a better sticks than their current ones, but seems like they are sticking to them.
Your mic hypnotizes me🤣
Great stuff, friend! 💯
😂 Me too! Thanks for watching. 🙂
Depends on the price bigger screen and potentially better control for less battery life if the price is similar enough could make sense.
I'd like an update to the rg353v form factor. (Not big like the 405v)
with better performance so it can run gamecube, ps2 and other fun stuff.
That would be cool. I wouldn't be surprised to see an updated version before the end of the year. That was a big seller for them.
Agree, this should have had the BEST battery life of the xx devices. Lord knows I've got enough devices though, lol. If the community goes nuts over it I'll consider it
Exactly! I’m kind of disappointed. But I’m still guessing it’s to keep the price under $80. I’m not sure how the community is going to receive this one. It seems pretty split on this one so far.
Literally, I'm checking daily in order to acquire one. XD
It’s hard to say for sure, but I’m guessing we’ll get a price announcement early next week with presale starting next weekend.
I'm just gonna hold out for the 5" version.
,...oh wait 😂
The 5” version will be announced next month. 😉
Its already out... its a psvita :/
The slightly larger size and curved chassis may help with ergonomics a bit. Larger screen could be nice but when not paired with a performance bump I just don't know if it's worth. We'll see I guess. Maybe if enough content creators hype it up enough I'll get one ;)
Yeah. Ergonomics and bigger screen are the only selling points here. I’m not sure how this one will be received. I guess we’ll wait and see!
I think it's coming right behind the rg cube is too fast.I believe that wasn't the best move.Let the Rg cube sell and give it more time to interest new customers first, then months later the rg 40xx.
I agree. Their release schedule has literally been a new device every month this year. It’s crazy.
Really sad news about the battery😒. WIll have to wait and see what the hands on experience is. I like that form factor so i really anted it to be great. Maybe it will be acceptable, here's hoping
I know! I’ll hope with you. Haha.
Smaller batter = lighter system in the hands.
Most people will not play one of these for more than 2-3 hours at a time so it’s really a non-issue. 6 hours is more than enough.
Dan the man, coming in with a hot take. I like it. Hadn’t considered the weight yet.
Looks great, but I fear it may be lacking in many areas. 🍻
I fear that too.
I'm curious how does 64-bit architecture will affect custom firmware for this device.I am kind of interested but I have way too many H700 devices. So depending I may pass but I can't wait for the reviews.
Well, they just brought the 64 bit firmware to the 35XX H last night. So if you have that one you can try it out now.
@@BoKnowsGaming thanks for the info I'll look into it.
I wish this was the cube
The triggers look like the speakers.
Honestly i love 4inch display but it should've had a better resolution and battery life and the shape should've been like the 405m
I think the RG Cube is this gen's 405M. It wouldn't surprise me to see a metal version later this year. But it has a better resolution, battery life, and processor.
@@BoKnowsGaming the RG cube is pretty good and has a 1.1 screen which is great for shmups but i do enjoy my RGB30 for now because it can do that as well, a metal version ok then
Maybe it was a typo 😅
if it is named "H", does it mean that a vertical 40xx or folded SP is coming in 2 weeks?
The SP already folds, but I guess a vertical 40XX is possible. Who knows what they’re going to do at this point. Thanks for watching!
@@BoKnowsGamingI think they meant an RG40XX SP. Knowing Anbernic, it wouldn't surprise me! 😁
@@RGGeek Ooooh. Yeah, that wouldn't be surprising at this point. I kinda hope this is the last H700 device we see from them.
I am disappointed, its a reshell of the rest with a smaller battery and larger screen. How much do you think it'll be?
I hope it’s not more than $74.99, but my gut is saying $79.99.
@@BoKnowsGaming Yep that or $89.99 I'm guessing!
I don't know why people saying content creators hyping up the product will encourage them to purchase.... Its easier to say hey I kinda like this (with some caveats) but buy it off my affiliate link anyways, than not recommend it at all lmao
I guess you're a kid? They hype it up because it convinces people to buy it rather than telling them the full truth. ETA Prime is an example of over hyping stuff. Everything is an emulation beast. Madlittlepixel probably trashes items too much lol but I trust him over the others. There's one guy I trust most but can't remember his name. Taki or something?
@@retroman-- no shit dude I've literally said that in my comment, what are you a child?
@@notrybro yes im a child with the name retroman. makes sense. you have the iq of an african lol
I just never cared for rgb on handhelds.
That’s totally fair. 🙂
So, if its linux based, could I use linux ports of games?
Like Portmaster? Absolutely.
so they made a retroid pocket 3 competitor months after the retroid pocket 4 launched huh
That is not a retroid competitor. It's low powered. It's the same specs as 35xx H which is capped at some n64, some psp and some Dreamcast. Retroid pocket 3 beats that easily.
Pass
Fair.
Maybe they did it so you would still want to buy the H? I have no idea but that battery really isn't good enough for me personally
If reviewers all report poor battery life, that will definitely impact sales.
Doubt that L2/R2 are analog, but would love to be wrong...
They probably aren’t. But with all that travel distance they look like they could be.
Maybe it's conspiracy minded but I don't think it's a money thing they always make one little thing wrong with these handhelds
I thought about that too. There always seems to be one thing that makes you scratch your head and ask, “Why?” 🤔
I guess they sourced a batch of cheap batteries...
Most likely. Thanks for watching!
Another 640x480 H700 device. Sigh.
Yep.
Bigger device. Bigger screen. Smaller battery. Lower resolution. Same chipset. Higher price. Waste.
With a battery that small, this device is worthless compared to their other devices unless you want a handheld that's constantly connected to an outlet.
I think it will still get a solid 3+ hours, so I guess it just depends on how long you play.
