It ain’t water proof it’s water resistant. It will start to have problems soon when activities like these are done. Same thing happened to me with my 15 pro max had to get it replaced 2 months later after dropping it in the pool for just 5 minutes .

I had an iPhone 11 Pro for 4 years, somewhat regularly washed it under the sink with soap to clean it, filmed a bit underwater as well, and generally dipped it quite a bit. It had no problem at first, but in the last year it would make a squeak when pressing hard on the top part of the display, as if the components are loose, perhaps from slight moisture making its way in? I feel like the most damage was caused to the speakers which seemed to be teeny sounding and crackle quite a bit at loud volumes. It's not that bad, but I would definitely not dip my phones any longer, the speakers definitely take some damage, I got my new 15 yesterday and the speaker quality blew me away.

Wait for a few days perhaps a week then take a look at it again. That charging port is the main culprit. The water will leak into that port and you will have a hard time charging the phone.
not me...not my iphone 15. I got my phone wet after falling in from a kayak run. It was submerged completely twice. No issues, no charging problems at all..There is a IP68 rating for the phone after all which negates your claims as moot and therefore null and void.

This absolutely works. I took mine in a pool and took a bunch of pictures and it still works many months after. When you take pictures, you have to use the button on the side because the front screen button doesn't seem to recognize your wet finger most of the time.

You could’ve quite literally sat there for 30 minutes while it was in the water, and it would’ve still been fine. Phones these days are essentially waterproof to a certain depth, I believe 3 meters for iPhone and 1 meter for android.

dropped my 15 pro in a bucket of grease/water yesterday not knowing it was water resistant freaked TF out until I realized it was air tight when i tried to suck the liquid out...just used an old toothbrush to get out all the debris and it still charges and functions normal 👍
is the speaker got affected? , i took mine to swimming pool and took some underwater video and photos then the earpiece become very less audible and main speaker got some crackeling sound have put it in rice jar.
