If there is a local farmer nearby that has sheep or goats, have him bring some of his animals over to the property. They'll get the vegetation under control quickly. And fertilize the ground at the same time.

The goats yes but sheep are fussy eaters and will not touch many plants. Great as lawn mowers but tend to leave the weeds.

I am pretty sure the goats/sheep were on the property, otherwise the grass would be a meter high by the time of June.

I wouldn't get rid of it, its been in the family and if you can fix it up it would be a great place to live and bring up children and even Jack would love it and just think your garden how much you can plant there instead of buying from a store and all the canned products you can put in the celler, all you need is to have an indoor bathroom and running water and the well could be used for the garden, i know it's a lot of work but the both of you are still young, well hope y'all decide to keep it for yourselves, thank you Larry

Get to work you two! That’s a beautiful home ready for renovation and comfortable living. You have water on site and power. All you need is a pump, simple filtration system, install some pipe and you have indoor water. Dig a leach field in the back yard, install pipe and you have indoor toilet! Get going kids, your young enough to get it done and enjoy the place. I have no idea how far it is to a town for groceries but I’ve seen in other videos what you’ve grown. Too far removed from your busy world then use it as a vacation spot. If I weren’t so old I would buy it and fix it up for vacations! Love the video, expect the next one from there to show GREAT progress. John

I think I see pink Peonies flowers! I love those and planted some in my yard too. I remember this tour 2 years ago and find it charming house. It definitely needs some new paint, a little dusting and so on. Love that the textiles are preserved. Lovely. With the cellars, before refrigeration in USA we had spring houses that were like the cellar but a spring of cold water would run through the bottom and jars would be kept cold in the water.

A lovely house, if that well water is not contaminated one just needs a solar powered pump and a filter and one has running water, that outhouse may need rebuilding but a spade will do and fertilise the soil, maybe not in winter, a composting toilet in an alcove may be needed. A nice dry looking celler for produce storage. I'd be as happy as Larry living there.

That is a really nice piece of property and home. It looks overwhelming, but it would actually be pretty easy to bring it back to life. I think you're biggest expense would be upgrading electrical and adding running water and a working bathroom. It has alot of potential for a large garden and even animals too. Good luck on whatever you do.

Very interesting. I saw the old movie too. What I see is that the quality of the construction was high from the beginning, because the fact that it has been unimproved for so many years and yet has not fallen into disrepair indicates that it was built well from the beginning. The roof is the key to it not falling into disrepair. Lots of potential both building and garden. Will really be nice to see an upgrade. Greetings from Sweden.(You are a nice couple. You're Ukrainian, this is your family home to keep, yes? If so, those two things are all you need.
What a wonderful new adventure you could both have now, through the Summer season, getting it tidied, decorated and making it cosy and homely again. As we say here, breathe life back into the home. Home is you, and how you make home feel because you are living in it. Isn't it a beautiful home, what we would call, charming, in England. Luba probably already sees the potential in every room and every inch of the property, she has good creative tastes, I can tell. And you work so well together, I expect. Even though I don't know you and it's my first time to see your channel videos, I get a feeling that life brings you back here for good reason. Have to say, I really like the decorative porch that welcomes you, isn't it pretty! My Dad was Ukrainian, I have family there, and when Ukraine wins this war, I'll get to visit them and UA for the first time ever.... maybe even settle there, who knows!
