The gates look fine and as you already mentioned the colour will fade through time, white is a good choice for window frames both inside and outside as it reflects and increases the amount of light in the house.
It's always nice to have place with relatively unusual colors. When you give directions you can say, "Ok, so just stay on that road till you see the red gate."
I really love the blue trim with the natural brick and the natural wood color of the door. Even if not perfect, if you sand the door and stain it naturally it will be beautiful.
Stunning red/brown gate and black trim. Looks fresh and inviting!! Do the same with the doors & windows. Avoid any brown color as it will look Very tired and Old especially against the brick. ❤️from Montreal
As mentioned in the comments already white window trim and forest green door. The gate looks amazing. How did you stay so clean. Luba in pretty clothes and white shoes🤣. Stay safe sweet couple.
Hi Pavlo, We've really enjoyed the opportunity given through your videos to experience the beauty and culture of your country. Sharing your family during special events like birthdays and during the holiday's have been an added treat. Nice to see families sharing good food, and good times together.... Good people too.!! It's a good feeling to see the smiles, and hear the laughter that you, Luba, and your families share.......!! (Luba wins the best smile contest......!!) It's been a while now I know, but sorry that ya'll mourn the loss of Jack. We've always had dogs, and have experienced those tough times too. You and Luba work really well together and make a great team.!! Without a doubt, very intelligent "soul mates" that will share a wonderful future. (Do ya'll always get along so well when working together, my wife and I do not, especially if it has anything to do with paint........ Keep up the good work!) Pavlo, the content along with the narratives in your videos, express a lot of pride and feelings from the heart. Thanks so much for sharing.! May God bless and keep your families safe.
Hello. You both did a good job. Unfortunately, paint does not darken unless you change its pigments. Paint can fade from the sun and weathering, but it won't darken. What you could do, if you have any black paint leftover is to put some of it in the red to tone it down. Or just buy a small can of brown and add it to the red and hopefully you will get the dolor you are looking for. Honestly, I would paint your doors and trim white. The mortar inbetween the bricks is light, and I think white is bright and clean, plus it will bring the color of the bricks out against the white.
I'm a professional painter in the US for the last 20 years. Before I saw the colors you bought I thought black or an earth tone red for the doors and trim. I think you were right on with your first choices. Love you two. Be safe.
That's not an earth tone red. You are talking about an Iowa faded red barn red. That's a too intense red. My neighbors would be pissed. People in that area have bad taste in colors anyway. The colors of the original doors and windows, vomit green. I'm just being honest and you know it.
@@TheBandit7613 people have bad taste in color where? Black would be a great color for the trim. That red is not earth tone but they had the right idea. I would have gone for more of a brick red to go with the brick. They couldn't take that back back because it was already mixed so the gate idea was great.
@@DIYAllied Eastern Europe has bad taste in colors. Funky blues and greens don't belong on a house. The gate should have been tan, light brown, something earthy. Not 70's Chevelle fire engine red! If you painted someone's gate that color, they'd have a heart attack!
@@TheBandit7613 to each their own. Different cultures appreciate colors in different ways. No one is right or wrong, its a simple matter of preference.
If I recall from previous videos, this property is Luba family house. So cool to see the restoration ! You have done so much work. Excellent color choice on the gate. Love your series. Feel like you guys are family (and I live a world away in Arizona, USA, but also lived in Canada with a bunch of Ukrainians 😅)
I think the gates look great! Love the color! Painting is a lot of hard work, but the result is very satisfying. I have been painting my entire house on the inside, and just finished my bedroom. It is a light gray with a dark yellow accent wall. The rest of the house so far is all light gray. My back hurts, but my house looks so much better! You two are really making the house into a nice home. Can’t wait to see what you do next!
Hello Luba and Palvo. My opinion would be, first sand then undercoat the widow frames white. Then give the window frames a second coat of white paint. For the front door, I would paint it a forest green to blend in with tree's. I hope this helps.
I agree with you that it would be great if the house doors were natural wood. If it was mine I would do everything I could to try to get the rest of the old paint off and just apply a clear protective coat on the doors. Do you have a shop close by that paints cars? Or maybe a metal fabrication shop that paints their products after building them? They would probably have a sandblaster there, it should take that old paint off easily if you brought the doors to them. I'm sure it would not be very expensive for them to do it. If not, I would paint the trims and window frames with the red/brown paint you used on the gates, then paint the doors a lighter color of brown, like a tan color. I think it would look good, but everyone has different tastes. Just as long as the Boss ( Luba) is happy! Lol
6:30 The Brick Red paint with the Black trim looks good, I would paint the Front door 🚪 Black and the window 🪟 trim Brick Red. Ukraine 🇺🇦 is a beautiful country. I'm from the Great Valley of California United States 🇺🇸
Please consider leaving the doors to the house in their patina and just use a clear gloss polyurethane. The doors are beautiful. You can always paint it in the future if you don't like the clear coat. As always, thank you for sharing. We like all of your content. :)!!!!
If you want to eat good colour choice is simple. Whatever Luba picks is the best choice. Lol. I've been married 45 years. Works for me. I am also a Canadian Ukrainian - and proud of my ancestry. Cool videos. Cheers
I like maroon color. You should ask for maroon 🎨 I love the way Luba smiles with her disappointment of the color. She is pretty 🤩 and chilled too. She would make a good wife and mother Pavlo!
For the door and house trim a nice cream color. Not white but off white or cream would lighten it up and match the brick. You guys are amazing working so hard. The gates look great.
Lupa is correct. 😊 The red gate and black trim looks absolutely beautiful. I think you should continue with the windows & door as red. A red door is good luck and brings prosperity. Pavlov you’re uncertainty is creating confusion.
A fresh coat of paint always makes things look good. As far as colors you choose that is it whatever you choose you need to live with so choose well my friend. Good job
Your gates are the colors of my local university, the Georgia Bulldogs...National Champions in football for the last 2 years. Good choice!!! Love the work you are doing on this home.
Maybe a nice red-tan for the windows, which will tone with the gates and look a little like natural wood. You have sunshine! I am on holiday in Switzerland and your video was good to interrupt the sound of rain battering on the roof. I hope Jack has not eaten any more live food when you get back.
I think the house should be like the gate. Paint the door with the same red paint of the gate, and paint the door trim and the window trim black. I think it will turn out really nice. Especially to have it the same as the gate.
I like the blue. It is unique to us here in the US. I realize it is common to you there in the village. The gates look great! I like that you and Luba aren’t afraid to take on any job! Oh to be young again! 😊
Paul and Love, I suggest doing a clear urethane coating on the door and leave them natural. 10 coats of clear and it will last forever. Also pull the weeds from the front steps and find directions on how to tuck point the steps before they collapse. It will save a lot of regrets later. Mike and Dawn
Good job on the gates - wow is very bright - no problem finding your house! The door was hard - its such a pain to get it to close and latch smoothly - good work. Patience is the key to success - and always agreeing with your mate! 😊
Very nice. For the windows maybe white and door white with black on the remnants of blue. Decorative trim would look perfect in white but black would work also. That would make house bright and fresh looking but still matching with brick house and red gate.
Navy blue = A gentleman! Lemon yellow = Sunny Day! Black = A tidy cottage (white interior)! The gate turned out good. Not sure about the colour but they're protected, still strong and look like you said 'like new' I think any blue, because that's bright, but practical. 🌿
I really like the color of the gate!! I think you should stick with that color even if it isnt brown like you wanted. Such a great difference you have made already!
Great Job on the gate. I like the red color very much. It shows there is life there in that property. I agree white trim on the windows and doors would of set the brick color. On the insets of the door itself you can choose another color to balance the white/brick color of the house. Enjoyed this video. Best wishes and warmest Regards. Ed
I vote for white trim white door and then maybe some brick red shutters later. And then if the gate doesn't darken paint it darker red like a brick red
Grand job on the gates colour is great. I would do the door and window frames black or white with the doors a light blue. Get the boss to get her artisic juices flowing and come up with a nice design to add to the outside of the gates.
Good evening from Sweden. Good work, I really like the gates. It looks like new! I like the light blue colour, like it is, around the windows. Light yellow would be lovely for the doors.
If i were choosing, i would choose to paint the gate like you have done, with majority central part painted that red color, and then gate trim in black. Exactly like how you have. I would paint all of the window trims black as well. Even the shed window trims too. All the doors, including on the shed, i would paint all with the black color as well, except for the three panels in the center of the doors which i would use the same red color on those bits to help to bling it up to help to highlight the doors to make those bits to really stand out well. This would make three main colors. You would see black, browny-red color in contrast with the green grass. If i'd ever decide to paint the roof, i would paint it green exactly like how the grass color is. But of course, it should be about what you feel pleases you two best. Anyway, i love to see the way you two work so well together
Hey, I think the original light blue color was very charming and it suits the place, seeing as it is a countryside house. It’s part of the magic of the place!
That is a good gate color: it gives the property life, not death. Of course it is brighter in the sun, but almost too dark in shade. Once you made that decision on your gate, then you have to follow through with the same color on door and windows. (I was going to suggest dark orange, but yours is a refreshing color). NO to white or black.
Common sense should be the deciding factor but paint availability also important. But the most important is the state of the wood frame. If it just a bit rotten the best solution is repair it or change it. Good luck with your renovation.
You should paint the windows white as it will make the inside look alot lighter. As for the gates i think it’s perfect. No need to change. As always guys love watching your videos and keep up the good work! 🇮🇪🙋🏼♂️

Looks great, you should use the same colors for the door of the house 🏠 use the red for the main part of the door and back in inner slim squares of the door.
I like that you and Luba are trying to live normal lives despite the war in Ukraine. Good luck too you both. I like the red/brown color for the windows, or keep it a blue that they had before.
I was thinking of a Crimson Red, Raspberry or Cherry color for the windows, doors. Definitely not white or blue. I wouldn't go with yellow either. Gate looks great!
I love the look on Luba's face when she first locked the door! My wife chose Red-Brown (she calls it burgundy) with very dark brown trim for the doors on our very light green wooden house. The gate looks great, almost Chinese in its red color. And black is natural for iron work. I'm not sure about a brick house - here in Oregon they are rare. New is always better, even paint. I like the idea of light bright doors with dark trim.
Hello Guys, I recommend gate complete black and window frames + door paint white maybe olive green.. With adding some flowers around house it will be wery lovely place and you will look forward to every visit. There is really too much red in that colour on gate. Black - red combination is a very contrasting combination. You two are rather such romantic and peaceful souls. Harmonious and subtle color tones will better reflect your personalities. I keep my fingers crossed for you, greetings from neighboring Slovakia :) Jaro
Red for the door! It's for luck and wealth! BUT! You could get the rest of the paint off with a drill that has a wire brush attachment. But you need to find a colour that will go with the wood on the window frames. You could (in the future) improve the rusty metal by using Naval Jelly. You paint it on and it changes rust to a primer that you can paint. But I like the gate! Nice job!
The gates look fine and as you already mentioned the colour will fade through time, white is a good choice for window frames both inside and outside as it reflects and increases the amount of light in the house.
The red and black looks good to me it's stands out from the rest of the village so you and Luba will be unique 👌
Dark dark Forest green trim on a brick house looks awesome. Goldish color doors as well.
It's always nice to have place with relatively unusual colors. When you give directions you can say, "Ok, so just stay on that road till you see the red gate."
Love it 🇦🇺 good job
I really love the blue trim with the natural brick and the natural wood color of the door. Even if not perfect, if you sand the door and stain it naturally it will be beautiful.
I really wish they would listen to this. It kills the charm and craftsmanship to paint wood brown! You can stain wood but never paint it.
Stunning red/brown gate and black trim. Looks fresh and inviting!! Do the same with the doors & windows. Avoid any brown color as it will look Very tired and Old especially against the brick. ❤️from Montreal

I like the color of the gate! Actually those colors would look good on the house and barn also!

Personally I love the colors together, especially outside. Great Job!! You both should be very proud.
Love the brick red color for gate . Paint the door and window 🪟 frames of house same color , will complement each other so beautifully
you guys are so patient, even when things sometimes go wrong or present other challenges you just laugh and find another way, love that

But you need to find a colour that will go with the wood on the window frames. You could (in the future) improve the rusty metal by using Naval Jelly. You paint it on and it changes rust to a primer that you can paint. But I like the gate! Nice job!
We love this series, Pavlo. Nice choice of colors too😊 That music is refreshingly different - it rocks!!
Ok 100%% super ❤❤❤❤❤
The gates are stunning! Well done!
Pavlo and Luba the red looks good. You should paint the door and windows in the red it matchs the bricks.
Ukraine’s colors, and the trident, on the front…❤❤❤❤❤
