Copa 90 should do a documentary on a Greek club by the name of Niki Volos. They are in the Greek 1st division and have to currently forfeit all their matches due to them having no staff and only about 3 players. The are last with -6 points. Thumbs up so Copa90 can see.

This is one of 2 big amateur derbies in Holland. The other one being the 'Katwijk derby' between VV Katwijk vs Quick Boys (where Dirk Kuyt played during his youth days)

Last Saturday we played on the main field against Spakenburg u13. We won 0-7. Great hospitality from them. Even the first team watched our game and applaud. Next week we play at IJsselmeervogels. Hope it will be on the main field and win again

DOVO vs GVVV in Veenendaal (also netherlands) is also a very big amateur derby. They are big rivels from each other and there are fights between both sides in most of the matches

Rebecca you need to let me know when the next Derby will be, it looks insane! We just don't have the same party mentality over here in England, just hostility and sometimes violence (I'm a Exeter fan, even when we beat our rivals Plymouth 4-0 earlier in the season, at the end of the game, everyone just drifted of home: no happy chanting, no party, nothing. Dull and pathetic
on 7th february 2015 the record for the best visited german amateur match was set. 30.313 people visited the german 4th league match between Alemannia Aachen and Rot-Weiß Essen ( 2 very traditional clubs).

I think he meant in the Netherlands to be fair. Football fans in the Netherlands will most certainly know about this match. Fox Sports Netherlands has also started broadcasting matched from the 3rd league to more and more people are getting familiar with the league

The biggest amateur sporting derby is here in Ireland. Gaelic football, an amateur sport, will get up to 80,000 for some of its matches.

Buts that the highest level, that was like in Australia, Aussie rules football matches could get up to over 100,000 and they were still technically ammeters, but now it's it professional.

De Treffers vs FC Lienden is a really big derby and rivalry in amateur football also 2 dutch teams!
Some examples of the German 4th devision [which is semi professional semi amateurishly]
- Alemania Aachen vs Rot Weiß Essen had 2015 over 30.000 spectators
- RB Leipzig vs SF Lotte (that's where I'm from) had over 30.000 spectators
- TSV 1860 vs FC Augsburg II over 21.000 spectators

Australia 20 years ago ! South Melbourne v Heidleberg ! May not be amateur but still, pretty amazing atmosphere for a league back then that no one around the world knew existed! Still has a nice atmosphere just not as good ! (These teams are not in a league)

Look where the NSL went with all ethnic clubs. Down the shitter, I wouldn't mind south Melbourne or Adelaide City in the league again but have too many ethnicities and it will happen again
