    Congratulations on your adoption! The social media rules are different for us in Missouri. We can post photos of our foster kiddos as long as we do not state they are foster kiddos.

      Thank you! That's so interesting, from state to state the rules are so different, it can make it so confusing!

    Your real estate assessor should be submitted reports soon and you can do your part by submitting irs paperwork to determine your adoption stipend.

    • @TheWhites6
      @TheWhites6  2 года назад

      Thanks for that info. We don't qualify for a tax credit ( I thinking that's what your referring to) because we did not pay for our adoptions. In Rhode Island a certain amount is covered to pay the Adoption attorney. In RI the ongoing stipend that a foster parent receives, does not continue unless the child meets certain criteria. It's too bad the rules are not the same from state to state, it would make it so much easier to share.

    Can you tell me what the experience is like for adopting with grown or mostly grown children of your own

    • @TheWhites6
      @TheWhites6  Месяц назад

      For us it's been primarily positive. In some ways it's a similar adjustment as when you add another child to the family by birth. My older children had a more difficult time with foster children coming and going and some of the trauma behaviors that they had to live with.

    We are trying to decide between foster to adopt and private adoption. How did you decide ? Thanks.

    • @TheWhites6
      @TheWhites6  2 года назад

      Our situation was a little different because our initial goal was not adoption. We just wanted to be foster parents but God had a different plan ( praise Him 🙌). You can specify that you are a pre adoptive and only choose to take placements that have a chance at adoption. Or you can contact your states adoption agency letting them know your interested in adopting a child in the foster care system. Praying for you and your family through this journey! 🙏

    How about the adoption story for a child...what it is like for a child child?? How about the struggle...we are not cabbage patch kid dolls!

    • @TheWhites6
      @TheWhites6  7 месяцев назад

      Clearly you're not a regular subscriber to our channel. Viewing children as dolls is the last thing we think. Maybe watch through our Foster care playlist. My children are not the age to have a video on their perspective.
