He was brilliant. He made a king human. The Christmas scene when the carolers come to Balmoral and a child gives him a crown which he puts on is so moving. He knew he was dying but after a brief hesitation, he carried on as a king would do.

Exactly! Who needs prosthetics when you've got raw acting talent?

I feel that both Jared and Colin did justice to the role of King George in their own distinct way.

I think you should watch King's speech and tell me what you think the true best actor was

Though he looked absolutely nothing like King George VI, he played him beautifully and made me forget about such.

His performance as the king was beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. I’m amazed by his acting.

If you haven't seen The Terror you should check it out! That's the role that really won me over to being a big Jared Harris fan.

I just recently realized that Jared was the son of Richard Harris. I loved him in Benjami Button and Madmen. Richard was one of my favorite actors and personality, I was schoolgirl crazy about him. I was just delighted when I realized.

That was an incredible story about his father. We don’t often hear about how a top actor as Richard Harris had to be very persistent just to get an audition at one point. I am a big fan of Jared Harris long before I realized he was Richard Harris’s son. It was just an interesting addition to know about him. Jared is an incredibly great actor in whatever type of character he plays.🥀

Colin Firth in The King's Speech and Ben Mendelsohn in Darkest Hour all did a superb job as George VI along with Jared Harris. They've all done justice to the man like some of the various actors to have played Churchill.

His portrayal was brillant. I was shocked to find out he was Richard Harris's son. I adored his father as Dumbledore in Harry Potter. I look forward to see where his career takes him.

The most brilliant actor in anything he's done. I couldn't believe him in The Expanse. In a class of his own.
Best one in the whole of The Crown. Such an unforced natural character actor.
Loved his father but prefer him!

Never knew he was Dickie Harris's son, but he certainly has the same gravelly voice.

There is drama in the Royal Family. Each episode captures one part of that drama.

In no way was Richard Harris middle class His family were well off. His father owned flour mills in limerick city since when dose owning four flour mills equate to being middle class they wealthy when you compare the poverty in Frank McCourts book Angelas Ashes .

Jared Harris doesn't compare I'd say doesn't even come close to Colin Firth's acting as king George the mad king more like king George the stammer
