I'm a Queen fan since my youth in the 70s. I've enjoyed shows with Freddie 🙏 and also with Adam. What a brilliant unique voice! No impersonator, but a gifted vocal acrobat with his own characteristics. The collaboration was the best choice for Brian and Roger to carry on the legacy of Freddie and Queen 🤘🤘🤘🎶🎤🎸🥁 My favorite songs with Adam Lambert will always be "The show must go on", "Who wants to live forever" and "I want it all".
My husband also saw Queen live in the 70's, and was a real skeptic when I bought tickets to see Q+AL for the Rhapsody tour. He was blown away, said it was one of the best concerts he had ever been to. The pure joy of Brian and Roger getting to perform their music live, and the truly humble and yet brilliant performance of Adam, who gets to rock a huge stadium full of joyful, energized fans with some of the best music ever conceived is just... mind blowing. It truly is MAGIC. I can't wait for them to come around again to the States.

For Queen to perform without Freddy, they needed a singer who could actually be able to sing their songs, but also someone who was not trying to be Freddy. Enter Adam Lambert who has one of the greatest voices I have ever heard, and the ability to be an entertaining lead man on his own. Together they are magic! They are making Freddy proud! Adam Lambert has a great voice and is a charismatic entertainer. His performance on stage does justice to the Iconic Legendary Freddy Mercury who could never be replaced on stage or in the hearts of Queen's fans. But Adam does fill the hole in those hearts by being able to give us a hint of Freddy every time he goes on stage with Queen. We should be so lucky for that to happen. (R.I.P. Freddy we still haven't forgotten you!)

Queen haven't replaced Freddie with Adam. This should be viewed as a different entity, and not a comparision, as Adam is different from Freddie, in the same way as the collaboration with Paul Rodgers and the George Michael Five Live EP were great. Adam is worthy of this gig and I think Freddie would be jealous that Adam was doing it, but also glad that someone so talented was carrying the torch.

Nice video, and I am totally a fan of the Queen and Adam collaboration (just saw them live for the second time a few weeks ago, and it was awesome!).....but I have to take issue with a few things said here. First, and maybe it's just kind of a matter of semantics, but you said a few times something along the lines of "Adam joining Queen"....no, he never joined Queen, he's still not considered a member of Queen. The only two actual members of Queen on stage in a Q&AL concert are Brian and Roger. Second....at 7:37, "Adam Lambert's influence on Queen can be felt in their studio recordings". WHAT studio recordings? There haven't been any new Queen studio recordings since their album with Paul Rodgers in 2008, unless you're talking about the few reworked old songs with Freddie on vocals they've came out with since then.
Adam has never tried to be Freddie, Freddie is his hero, this is a new Era of Queen and he has been their Lead Singer for 12 years and counting, Adam is Adam and has an unbelievable voice, he does justice to all Queen songs. 👑👑👑

The fact that Adam got penalized and shut out of opportunities because he came out as gay ten years too early for american tv (now they scramble to find trans everything for oscars etc, but when he launched and kissed a guy on tv, the music media promoters couldnt cancel him hard enough) makes his gay trailblazing power ALSO an essential fit for Queen's legacy

Nice video, and I am totally a fan of the Queen and Adam collaboration (just saw them live for the second time a few weeks ago, and it was awesome!).....but I have to take issue with a few things said here.
First, and maybe it's just kind of a matter of semantics, but you said a few times something along the lines of "Adam joining Queen"....no, he never joined Queen, he's still not considered a member of Queen. The only two actual members of Queen on stage in a Q&AL concert are Brian and Roger.
Second....at 7:37, "Adam Lambert's influence on Queen can be felt in their studio recordings". WHAT studio recordings? There haven't been any new Queen studio recordings since their album with Paul Rodgers in 2008, unless you're talking about the few reworked old songs with Freddie on vocals they've came out with since then.
Adam is no Freddy… just as much as Freddy is no Adam. As a fan the only thing I hope is that Brian and Roger will stay healthy for many years to come.
Adam has never tried to be Freddie, Freddie is his hero, this is a new Era of Queen and he has been their Lead Singer for 12 years and counting, Adam is Adam and has an unbelievable voice, he does justice to all Queen songs. 👑👑👑

Freddie died, Deacon retired in 1997. They chose Paul Rodgers as frontman from 2004 to 2008 and Adam Lambert from 2011, multiple times worldwide since. Brian May and Roger Taylor are and will always be QUEEN.

Brian May and Roger Taylor pay everything how can a paid singer front this group? But the two "Queen" would protest against that? A front man is equal, in rights and duties. He would have to help finance the tour and also bear the financial risk.

Adam is not a replacement for Fred, he has been Lead Singer for QAL for over a decade and he sings Queen songs his own way and does a good job of it. He will be there till they retire. Simple if you don’t like don’t watch.
