Bread machines are amazing!! It will have you eating bread all day!!
YOU Sir are the *Chuck Norris* of counter-top appliances, my hat is off !!
Hooray, you got the proper measuring cups for your dry ingredients! Good show!
Another little tip, if you measure everything out like you did, you could actually put the oil into the bread pan first and then take the pre-measured water that you have from your other measuring cup that had the oil in it and put some of that water into the oiled cup to help rinse out the rest of the oil that might still be in the cup. I like to get every drop...
As for the raisins not quite mixing in properly, you might want to try to "lightly" coat them with a wee dusting of flour so that when they release from the dispenser, the dough (which should still be a bit sticky) will actually grab onto the floured raisins and incorporate them into the bread a bit better...also, if put a lot of cinnamon on AFTER the raisins are trying to mix in, the cinnamon will actually repel the raisins.
***For anyone whose ever made cinnamon buns and spread the dough with butter first and then sprinkled on your sugar and cinnamon mixture and then put the raisins on top of the cinnamon, you will know that unless you press and push the raisins down into the dough, when you go to roll them, the raisins will keep moving forward because they don't want to stick to the cinnamon. Double edged sword!
***While I'm on this subject, if you're going to make cinnamon buns (use your bread machine for mixing up the dough) and then roll it out and mix your butter, cinnamon and sugar together to make a paste and then spread it down on the dough and add your raisins after if you want them on the buns. The raisins will easily stick to the paste. It's far better than sprinkling the cinnamon and sugar on top of the butter and then the raisins on top of that etc...
Now, getting back to the flour, when I make blueberry muffins and I use frozen berries or dried fruit, I toss them with a bit of flour and I do the same with chocolate chips, nuts etc in breads or muffins because when you lightly coat them it will help so that they won't all sink to the bottom or clump together. The flour helps to actually "suspend" them equally throughout the dough....
Yep. You convinced me to get another bread maker. The smell of fresh cinnamon raisin bread is heaven. Please keep the videos coming!
YAY! Another Rick video!!! What a happy Monday!
Good job, bread looks delicious. I’ll try this tomorrow. Thanks for the recipe.
Another great video.
Looks really cool, much nicer than my older bread maker. I wonder how it would do with cheese bread! Thanks for the great video.
That’s got to smell amazing! I’m so jealous right now! Bro you convincing me to get another bread maker! I miss that wonderful aroma! In the house!✌️❤️
Hi Rick, Yum! Love raisin bread! I have to try this. 🧡 🤤 I have an older bread machine but it does have a "sweet" setting to add the ingredients like raisins, dried fruit nuts, cheese.
Wow, looks delicious, and I bet it is!
looks wonderful. will have to make some. had a bread maker years and years ago I never used much. I didn't like the heavy texture it always came out with. from the looks of yours they must have improved over the years. maybe I need that instead of a mixer. happy baking.
mmm, looks delicious . Nothing like home made bread. That machine is awesome . You make it look easy.
Oh it was so Easy! :) Thanks!
So jealous! Looks amazing
Yum. I really need to dig my bread machine out. It's probably 25 plus years old but it always did a fabulous job. Wish I had more counter space. It would sure make it way more accessible. I used to make crazy bread (just like Little Caesars Pizza place) and calzones all the time. Love raisin bread. Thanks.
I forgot about crazy bread! Yeah we can make all kinds of goodies. I've always wanted one of these. Even when I was much younger.
looks delicious!
Yummy!,,, thanks for sharing!!!!!
That turned out perfect!! I was hollering don’t forget the cinnamon, guess you finally heard me😂Thanks for sharing😃
Yes I heard you! Thank you very much! 🍞
Great video! I am going to make this in my machine...but I am going to use milk instead of water...Thanks! and yes I agree, the time is so worth it...the smell of the bread is awesome. I would try putting the raisins in at the very begining when things are all loose and they can really get mixed in.
Hi Rick trying your recipe now. Fingers crossed. Yours looked so good. I hope mine comes out.
Looks delicious!!
Thanks it really was. :)
Hey Rick I have the breadman bread machine.. I love making the raisin bread here is some tips I know I've made maybe 100 loaves.. Put cinnamon in with the dry ingredients.. And add the raisin in soon right after the first rise forget that dispenser.. I cut mine after 5mins I like the end piece thats mine with butter... Yess have fun with that new toy I made plenty of pizza dough too. You just reminded me to start using it again
Ok. Thanks! I'm still learning. I will do it the way you said. Yeah pizza dough too!
I made pizza dough in my bread machine last night. And thanks to Rick I also was up making raisin bread dough at 3 this morning. All my raisins were on the inside because I added cinnamon roll filling before baking in oven this morning.
Don't have smell- o-vision, but as I was tossing and turning, I just couldn't get the thought of how Rick's cinnamon raisin bread smells out of my head.
hi rick, i put my cinnamon in with the flour ..mixes through out the bread give it a try
Looks good
Yum Mr Rick 😮
Looks delicious.
Thank you 😋
The raisin release was the highlight for me! 😅
Nice!
Rick, I knead some of that raisin bread. The bread wood be good toasted with some honey butter.
From what I have seen, most bread machines don't do a good job of mixing in raisins. Even with a dispenser. At least none I have seen so it's a feature I haven't found necessary. Just a gimmick but I really wanted your machine to be different. It's a great looking appliance.
Next time, just use the dough cycle. Take the dough out, add your raisins while removing the paddle. Then you can use a bake cycle if you want that shape. Or put in a loaf pan and use your oven.
My kitchen smells good. Just prebaked pie crust for butterscotch pie. Might top it with a layer of chocolate instead of whipped cream.
love this saw you are in Easton, I'm in Allentown
That's Cool! Thanks for watching!
Looks delicious! My bread machine doesn’t do nearly as well as yours! Envious lol!
So I tried your recipe for bread. Followed it to a tee. It came out great!! I have had my bread machine for months and could not get it to come out nice. Today I made two loaves and they were perfect! Thank you for sharing your recipe! First bread I made was plain white bread and the second was cinnamon bread, I couldn’t find my raisins, and they were delicious. I thought my bread machine was bad but it isn’t. Thanks again Rick! I wish I could share pictures so you could see the bread.
Toasted with cream cheese or butta....Oh yes
Pizza bread - cheese and pepperoni
Try adding dried cranberries too! Oh my. I addd my cinnamon inside the loaf and it came out a beautiful chewy brown color.
Your raisin bread look's delicious! Have some for me! Say hi to Kathy for me. Take Care and God Bless. Love and hugs from Michigan.
I would put the Cinnamon in in the beginning and maybe some raisins then too! Not enough raisins and cinnamon got to to the inside like I would want! I have a Hamilton Beach bread maker, but I need to test my yeast as the jar is old.
Sounds like crankin on an old dodge pick-up, trying to start it....lol
Can you add the Cinnamon when you are adding your dry ingredients? And in the Menu I saw "Meat Floss" What is that??
So cute , it sounds like tryin to get your vehicle to turn over 😏
What setting pound? 1 1/2?
Looks great. I just made a loaf tonight in my Zo. What made you hold back the cinnamon and at what point to add? I guess it’s got to mix in.
Thanks, it was my first time making it. So I thought that would be a good time to add it. Thanks for watching.
Rick Mammana I ask because yeast and cinnamon don’t get along.
Rick, the next time try mixing in the cinnamon when you put the other ingredients in, maybe it will be more evenly distributed throughout the loaf.
Usually the instructions warn against adding things like Cinnamon or garlic early because they have anti-fungal properties that could kill the yeast. But what he can do is take the dough out of the machine when it is time to add raisins and just knead in the Cinnamon and raisins by hand, and put it back in the machine to finish.
Came back to ask about some of those other features of your bread machine. Like, what's number 13 do differently than 11? And all those functions on the right are interesting - have you tried any? Homemade jam or marmalade yet?
Got 2 pounds of strawberries and thinking strawberry pie, with bread machine helping do the filling.
@@LatitudeSky yes, sounds like a good idea. Want to see Rick make that machine make a perfect loaf of cinnamon raisin bread.
Not enough air holes... this looks really dense and the orisons did not distribute well which is a major problem with most of these budget machines. But - better than store bought preservative bread I suppose!
I make mine in the older bread maker and use the dough setting and that works very well. If I am short of time I use the other machine to actually make the bread in it,
Reminds me of a lost in space episode.
I have to say, I do love my Aicok bread machine, but when I tried to add raisins, I wound up with a big cluster of them on the top of the bread, and not many raisins inside. But the bread was still tasty.
Yes that happened when I made raisin bread. Someone suggested to add the raisins with the mix in the beginning. I've been making bread a few times a week. I love it too. Thanks for watching!
Nice bread, I love cinnamon raisin. Is your machine okay? Sounds like it's gonna drop dead any minute.
How about Mr. Rick's Hawaiians hot steamie buns
That's a good idea.
No Smell O Vision 😟
Mr Rick Is That The Map Of The State Of Pennsylvania ( Cutting Board ) 🤔
It sure is.
i want to add walnuts to my raisin bread next time
That should be good! Thanks for watching! :)
Looks good but not impressed with the lack of raisins on the inside.
Lol, sorry but aren’t the raisins suppose to be more on the inside Rick!
Have you used the delay feature yet? I’m thinking of buying this but I want to put ingredients in before bed and wake up to fresh bread. Thoughts?
Hi, No I didn't use that feature yet. But I did start it before going to bed and wake up to fresh bread. It goes into a keep warm mode for a few hours after the bread is made, which usually takes 3 hours to make.
@@RickMammana QUESTION #2 & 3: what made you choose this bread machine and I've read reviews where manual is awful to read, did you find this to be true?
@@davidsbrat I chose this because I have many other appliances from this company and they are all good. Yes the manual isn't very clear. So I look up bread machine recipes online and write down the good ones, I also got a bread machine cook book. Or I watch videos of people making bread.
There is a link to the cookbook in the video description. :)
Can you use all purpose flour
Yes but it won't rise as much as bread flour. Bread flour is best.
@@RickMammana ok thank you
Yup Sean enough to know hand made is better, but thank you 🙏
What kind of yeast
I think it was Fleishmanns active dry yeast. Fast acting.
@@RickMammana thank you I found out it was dry yeast, not fast active for machine needs to take more time
@@RickMammana your tip on more raisins was very helpful, thank you
They have fast or Instant yeast that I use sometimes.
I’m using your recipe as a base. 2:46 minutes to go
How much cinnamon?
was the cinnamon raisin bread good rick
Yes! 😁 🍞
that good rick
think it would work better if ya put all that in at the start
Very noisy when kneading
Very loud the bread machine that is!
pretty noisy machine
“ 👃 “
Can you list ingredients first
The ingredients are in the video description below the video. Thanks for watching!
Bread machines are so 1990, now its no knead bread GET WITH THE PROGRAM! You know what that needs, led lights in the lid so you can watch. I would mix the cinnamon with the flour
I don’t like that it is so loud! That would scare my two cats! Are all the bread makers like this?
Both of my bread machines have been about as noisy. But I have cats and it's never bothered them a bit. And the machine is only noisy when it is mixing and kneading. It's totally silent the vast majority of the time.
No. The older Breadman and Wellbilt from the '90s are much quieter. These new machines have small motors that strain to mix.
Older machines like the '90s Breadman, Wellbilt, DAK, have larger motors and do not strain like these newer machines. My mom has an Oster that's loud. Again, small motor that strains to mix.
