Angela has just always be leaving me with awed. Seeing a 79 year old doing a mesmerizing Argentine Tango is showing that anything is possible and you can rise to the occasion.
Tbh one of the top 3 performances tonight. Tbh she probably most likely win this whole thing. And I won't be mad at all about it.

She’s such an inspiration. To get out to that dance floor, perform an Argentine Tango like that at nearly 80 years old is insane. Her leg actions are just beyond me! Very impressive especially for that age! Like wow! Such creativity. Love these two. Marvellous choreography and footwork. Would love to see them in Halloween week next week! 🤗

I'm not at all into Strictly, never watch it, but was curious to see how Angela performed. As far as I can see she didn't put a foot wrong in this performance (nor her dance partner), they were very smooth and nimble, it looked like a near perfect performance of their routine (as I hinted at the start of my comment, I'm a complete layman when it comes to dancing so feel free to correct me). As you say, very impressive that she can still do that at her age, she looked very nimble and rather flexible,
This was a really lovely authentic argentine tango. In Buenos Aries proud and feisty older women are paired with young men - and elderly men with young women. What matters is the commitment to the tango, the passion, the duende. Angela really captured this.

Beautiful and well done and as someone who has danced quite a bit I can see the care Kai takes in making sure she is safe whilst still allowing to reach for it and go for it. Again well done the both of you if you see this! Beautiful.

When I heard she was doing Argentine I was so excited and she didn’t dissapoint. Fantastic sticato movement with beautiful ganchos! It was classic and elegant to a tea. Little more flow between specific movements needed for absolute perfection but this is by far her best dance yet!
That was my critique too, just a little static between moves which I was disappointed the judges didn't mention since they have for others, but yes otherwise incredible isn't she?!
I was surprised at the milonga music, but Angela was impressive. It was actually Kai who disappointed me a bit by not having a closer hold around her back and not ensuring that Angela was leaning more into him in closed position (a key element of AT).
It seems as though they are giving the crowd what they want.
Good performance seeing that Angela was injured just before going on. Apparently they shuffled the groups around so that she could be tended to by the doctor and good seamstresses. A true professional.

She's so impressive, to be able to produce a dance like that to that standard at nearly 80 years of age is inspirational, I do feel footwork could have been a little cleaner in the faster parts but who cares WOW 9/10

Wow. Just WOW! She is the oldest contestant ever on the show and we've seen a lot of old people struggle on the show before but Angela is just stunning. The dance was so sharp and pristine. The attack was amazing! Everything was pretty much perfect but her transitions between lines could be improved slightly. But.. WHAT A PERFORMANCE! Exceptional!

That suggestive leg move in the beginning was everything, haha! She's just badass, and Kai's awesome. Slight gripes; I wish she was a little sharper and the lift at the end felt a bit heavy and clunky, but great performance.

Must admit, i’m a bit anxious about Angela doing Salsa, Jive and any other “faster” dance. But i think they will come up with something good. I think Angela & Leyton and Amanda will be the final 3

What makes it even more amazing is that Angela sliced her leg open just minutes before this dance. None of the judges or the public knew this at the time. Her tights had to be removed and the wound dressed to enable her and her partner to meet their slot in the programme. Brilliant!

However, I could care less after seeing what Angela & Kai just did with this routine!
Was watching with my Mum & Stepdad, we were all equally impressed how Angela performed, my Stepdad in particular said if a woman of her age can do a performance like that then "thats special" was his quote.

If Angela keeps performing basic steps to perfection she could well be in the final! No point in being able to do crowd pleasing somersaults etc if you can’t do the basics well.

Last but by no means least Angela. I will say upon reflection I think I was highly critical of her but I think partly because I was hoping she would do more high octane dances (which is obviously unfair for me to judge that - we all know that the producers decide what dance the celebs get so its wrong for me to judge that) but on we are with the Argentine Tango. Well I will say I loved her attitude to the dance. There felt like a real intimacy to it like with other ones and this is down to her strong partnership with Kai.
If I will be picky I love it when the lines are extreme so I would have preferred it if the lines were more extreme and it seemed moree improvised but some of that comes with age and time. And the thing is she really is proving that anyone can dance and produce high qualut work no matter what age they are.
Aside from that really good and possibly my favourite dance as of yet.

How about her doing Cha Cha or some other fast dance. Angela has been dancing most off her life. I have got dissolusiond by the whole programme that I only watch results programme now. It's time that it was one complete show as we know it's recorded the same night come on BBC admit it.

Well I admit I debated between an 8 or 9 and I went with 8 because, I actually thought there was more drama in the Rumba and I would have loved to have seen ganchos especially with that piece of music, even if Angela didn't take naturally to them it would have been nice to see her try them and I actually expected them aswell because she did some beautiful flicks last week that made me think I would like to see her do an AT and here we go she is. Also, the hold could have been sharper but there was so much to love here, drama, mood, stillness, the crane was gorgeous, the footwork was lovely, the determination was there in her eyes, the musicality is extraordinary and the lift at the end was beautiful. It was a really strong dance, I always look forward to watching her, I did expect more but that is only because she has been so amazing the past few weeks but as a performance it was quite astounding 🔥

She is trained in ballroom, does everyone just forget she and Ian Waite used to teach ballroom classes? she already knows half of the dances on the show, of course shes good, she has more experience than any other contestant in strictly history.

honestly its so hypocritical, happens every year, they target certain contestants for it but not all of them. this year they’ve targeted layton but just ignore nigel, amanda and of course angela rippon.
last year it was fleur they targeted, but ignored hamza, who had danced in university (actual styles on the show, which fleur hadn’t ).
the year before there wasn’t much from what i remember but AJ did get a bit of bother (despite genuinely never danced before) but nobody batted an eyelid at rose.
2020, maisie got all the hate but hrvy just sailed through fine.
2019, karim got the hate but when kelvin had experience, it was fine?
2018, ashley roberts got the hate, faye and danny got none
2017, alexandra got the hate, joe and debbie barely got any
it goes on, but i will say its funny how none of them were straight white men.

What a way to close the show, this dance was Classical and beautifully soft.
yes for me this dance was not sharp for my liking and when it tried to be sharp it looked a little rushed also whoever choreographed this dance I would have liked the sharp lines to hit just as the music hit it's next cord it would have been so amazing however for Angela herself she nailed this dance and did it so very well with the help of lovely Kai.
also next week please let Angela get dress up as Winifred from Hocus Pocus and Kai as the skeleton man and dance to I put a spell on you that would be the best.

For me the hold could of been sharper and there was some slight balance issues, the footwork could of been a little cleaner, however her sticatos and ganchos was good and she is a joy to watch.
It was amazing! CRH said it was 'brilliant' and then gives them an 8. The judging and marking this year is very inconsistent and leaves a lot to be desired.
Could be the winner.
I would say 8. I would like a little more heat in the dance (although that's more the choreographer's fault than the Celeb) and there was a few moments where she slipped into the V frame which just loosened the intensity for me. However, what a beautiful dance with such precision. For a Celeb of a certain age, overall that was a brilliant performance.
