Glad to hear you're enjoying Pamukkale as much as we did! Meant to include this info in the video: Yes, we tried using recovery software to find the files. No, it didn't work. Yes, we have finally learned our lesson. We are now carrying extra external hard drives so we can double back up our files. Hopefully, this will never happen again :)
Thank you Kara and Nate for ignoring 😑...... i didn't want to sound as a creep , requesting same thing again and again. Best of luck to you for your future journey.
I was just thinking what would happen if you lost or if your computer died and what would happen to all your files. It happened to me and I lost photos of my parents while they were alive. I feel for you but having the external hard drive is a great move!
It such a beautiful place!! It is also amazing to see the cultural mix of people!! From Northern Europeans in Bikinis to Muslims covered head-to-toe all enjoying wading in the water and enjoying the incredible views!!
Believe me, I've travelled the World and seen so many countries. However by far the most diverse country for history, natural beauty and food has to be Turkey. The people are incredibly friendly and so hospitable! You could literally spend a whole year vlogging in Turkey and still not even be close to seeing everything.
You guys have been getting up early an awful lot lately for a couple who claim not to be morning people 😂 you even beat the ticket guy! We are really loving these Turkish videos! You guys have inspired us to visit Turkey next year 😁
I can tell you, a huge number of people are gonna make turkey as a must visit country in their bucket list.. courtsey Kara and Nate..I'm one of them.. 🤗🤗💓💓 loads of love.. keep enjoying peeps..💓💓

That place is gorgeous. I've never been that interested in Turkey as a travel destination, but after seeing beautiful travel vlogs from you and some other RUclipsrs I'm definitely interested. So thank you! -Lotta
lanttimatkat . i will recomend turkey it is one of the most beautiful places on earth . also you have to go to ephesus . we stay at the aqua hotel in icmeler . and have been going to turkey for 25 years .
They do great vlogs huh! We spent six weeks in Turkey earlier this year hitchhiking (otostop) and have made a bunch of videos about it! Your country is amazing!
I always thought that there were just 2 famous tourist places in Turkey, Istanbul and Antalya. Thank you very much showing me the parts of Turkey I had never even heard about. Always enjoy your vlogs and already waiting for the next one ❤😊
I'm already a member of Audible, if I wasn't I would have signed up with your offer. But I will have a look at your book recommendation as my monthly credits will soon be added to my account. Don't worry, technical problems happen all the time, you lost some of your video footage but it was all ok in the end :D
The beginnings of KaraandNate Tours v2.0? Business class to Turkey on Turkish Airlines...all the beautiful sights and wonderful foods you had in Turkey? And Bob and Gina!
Dear Kara & Nate, Thank you for a lovely adventure this morning. Even though you lost some of your footage it was done very beautifully. Kara, your editing skills are amazing. Nate, what a genuine husband to open the door for your wife. My husband has always opened my door even... after 48 years together and our 3 sons also open the door for their wives. Great manners never go out of style. ☺ ~Joanna♡
You guys do an AMAZING job sharing these beautiful places with your subscribers! I feel like I'm being transported to these amazing areas just by watching your vlogs. Keep up the great work and keep on traveling!
Those dang hard drives😠... this place was amazing!! So glad y’all want to go back some day! I can’t explain how excited I get when y’all post a new video🤗🤗🤗 And a total side not but baby Galilee is soooo cute! Congrats on being auntie and uncle😍 Stay you 😘
All you have to do Nate, while waiting for that ticket guy who was late and making you wait, is close your eyes and imagine all the ticket counters, attendants, pilots, conductors, captains, for planes, trains, boats and fellow travelers that were waiting on you because you wanted didn't want to leave your hotel or lounge until boarding was half over or quickly see another site or maybe grab a quick lunch knowing you would be pushing it big time......................................................................... YEAH, that's called Karma, Namaste!

Thanks again...My student's liked your previous video....I told them to subscribe. Hopefully you will garner a new audience....15 and 16 year olds.....Nate - Gotta extend your product life cycle. Also another MBA(er) here. and don't forget your 4P's
I am from India and love Turkish though India was invaded by so many kings from turkey for the wealth and spread Islam. One of them Muhammad Gazni of Gaznavid dynasty. Anyway forget past and go ahead to future. 👍 Nice country.
The Mughal kings where partially Turkic and Farsi not Turkish like in people from Turkey/ Anatolia. The Mughals have nothing to do with the Ottomans but the fact that they both shared some of their central Asian ancestors. And both were heavily mixed with the local population throughout their reigns. Atleast that's the case for Turkey. So you can enjoy Turkey without feeling bad.
Ahh guys, that sucks that you lost your footage!!! We totally agree about the Amphitheatre, it really was the best we have ever seen! We preferred Hierapolis to Pamukkale as we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves unlike the Cotton Castle. Also we learnt afterwards that the lack of water in the natural pools is due to the Hotels and Spa's below redirecting the water down to them instead of the pools! We also heard though, that every two or three days they have water, so who knows! If you ever feel like seeing Hierapolis again, check out our video on it 😜😉🙏 Thanks for sharing as always! By the way we also love Turkey and spent six weeks hitchhiking there earlier this year and two weeks last year! There are so many amazing places to visit and there are an abundance of ancient cities that hardly anybody knows about! We camped in one right next to an ancient amphitheatre, it was incredible! The people in Turkey also made our experience so enjoyable they are the most 'misafirperver' (hospitable) people in the world that we have met so far! Our drivers were all so generous inviting us for meals and to their homes to sleep, incredible!
Timezone Junkies Wow that sounds amazing. I am one of 5 million turks living in Germany. And its sad that you know more about the country where we came from than me. I will def. check out your channel.
It's really sad that you lost that footage but your dedication to make up for it through other sources is really amazing. Love your vlogs and you guys❤
“Among all nations it is only Turks that is the most honorable and with whom one shall not hesitate building ties of friendship. Just go to a Turkish village and you will learn what it means hospitality.” - William Martin “Turks are heroes. They never hurt their friends. This honorable nation will not leave a hand that reaches to them, will not renege on their promises, and will not let their friends alone at the times of hardship. Whoever become friends with this amazing nation will have on his side a priceless power to manage through any hardship.” - Comenius (Check Scholar)
Didn't they call the Ottoman empire the "sick man of europe". "Turks are heroes. They never hurt their friends". Yeah right. Tell that to 1.5 million Armenians murdered, starved and raped in 1915.
Lost your footage, lost your drone ... but Turkey is now at the top of your "must return to visit again" list. Must be one hell of a country. Well, that and your positive outlook during your trips. I'm hoping you resolved your hard drive situation since then, because I'm all too familiar with the "I'm too anxious to enjoy myself recording this video" anxiety because I can't trust my hard drive. That puts a damper on a good time.
I discovered you through your vlogs on Ha Long Bay when I was preparing for my ex-boyfriend and I's trip to Vietnam. It was the same place where he proposed to me. He is my husband now and we have been married for 5 months. Like you, we would also like to travel the world! Love from the Philippines 🇵🇭

SD cards seem to have a life-span issue at times as well, and with all of the tough places you guys go, you might be seeing a natural attrition of some of the SD cards through use and exposure to a number of different issues (sandstorms, rain, etc.). Great video as always!
Oh my gosh my heart aches for you. Losing all that footage in Pamukkale is devastating. That was our favorite part of Turkey too. We ended up staying there all day so we could see it at sunset, too. It was gorgeous. Feel free to check out our vlog from that day if you want to see. -Brian

This might suggest an issue with a cable (if it's the external we saw on the video a couple days ago), or an issue that running Disk Utilities on your Mac might find. I'd run a diagnostic or two and make sure that everything is ok. SD cards seem to have a life-span issue at times as well, and with all of the tough places you guys go, you might be seeing a natural attrition of some of the SD cards through use and exposure to a number of different issues (sandstorms, rain, etc.). Great video as always!
