We started this day in Ubud with Christian and Katy by having breakfast in the pool of our bamboo house. We finally left to explore some more and drove our scooters to the Goa Gajah Temple and the Campuhan Ridge Walk!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this RUclips channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before Nate turns 30 (which is March 20, 2019)! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
Traveling with you guys was way to much fun. I love that your on-screen personalities are as authentic as they are in person. Keep pushing for the big 100 milestone and look forward to sharing my Ubud vid later this week! :)

I've really been enjoying your videos. It definitely brings back a lot of memories. I traveled off and on from 1987 to 2001 and spent a little over half of that time out of the country. The opportunity you have to vlog and make money while traveling didn't exist back then so I would come back to the States occasionally, find whatever job I could and work hard for a few months to save up enough for the next trip. I traveled more slowly and cheaply (usually under $10 a day) than you do but that's mostly because it was 20 to 30 years ago. I made it to over 70 countries and have been to a few of those more than once (India, China, Indonesia, Thailand and Australia) with Asia being my favorite region. Keep those videos coming.
Back to instant coffee? What happened to the coffee press that Kara got for Nate for his birthday? 😀

Bali is a heaven... and Ubud is my favorite place... few years ago i went to Ubud almost every weekend cuz its not so far from my stay just took 1.5 hours by motor cycle.

Christian uses his vlogs as a business,and does videos/promotions for businesses,hence why his camera,drone work is very important to him,thus him having to see the best shots every time,and also how to edit and grade said shots!

I've been out of work due to surgery & have been binge watching your channel, which is so sincere. What I don't like are the YT channels which 'stage' the interactions. Your recent partnership in Bal is like I'm referring. Don't like the constant staging just for the Instagram posting. I've tried to view his vlogs, but too fake, too staged. Constant outfit changes, taking outrageous photo challenges just for the posting. I'll keep watching you both since you keep it real. It's never a "look at me" vlog!

I'd love to explore more of Ubud, but my family's fav hotel in Bali (been going there since childhood,) was in Nusa Dua. It was called 'The Sheraton Laguna,' but is now renamed 'The Laguna Hotel and Spa.' The stretch of hotels and restaurants nearby, along that beach are amazing and the adventure of exploring to find the local market places is just amazing! We always went back to sample more of the local delights (mostly the fruit and the temples performances!) The strain of Hinduism in Bali is really quite unique!

I love Bali. Was there enjoying all these places and more for 1month in DEC 19 before Covid became widespread. Amazing people, Delicious Nasi Champor and beautiful scenery!
Everyone should visit Bali Indonesia once in their lifetime. I was blessed to be able to visit last year in 2017 around March. Despite the extreme heat.. the veiw, the beach, and the atmosphere was amazing. Thank you for this video as it let me reminisce about my time there.

It feels iky to me and inauthentic when everything is done for Instagram/social media.
I feel like travel vloggers think that the beauty of the scenery and the photography is everything, but to me their authenticity is just as important imo. This video had a lot of beauty, but I didn't connect to it as I have done with some of the other ones.
I guess it happens when instagrammers unite. There breakfast got cold because they were taking photos for an hour. The budgeteers are coming out with their India serious soon. They were debating dubbing music or leaving the actual sounds. There are leaving the sounds. I can't wait.

Bali is beautiful, but from 2015 extremely overcrowded and ruined by total misrepresentation from different influencers, instagramers, tiktokers and other bullshitters.

Why is it that you guys talk about mosque, church, cathedral in a more respectful way then you guys talk about Hindu temples? You guys go to mosques in Islamic world and churches to see and soak in the architecture and history. Why visit temple only for Instagram pictures to get more likes and followers?
