That is a GDI engine. The oil is coming in from the valve seals. Not the rings. The difference is piston rings don't hold that much oil where you lose quart of oil in two weeks. What happens on a GDI. Now bad valve seals allow oil to leak into the combustion chamber when you start up, drive and especially when you shut the car off. It's a constant leak.
How long do you think this fix will last? Reason I ask, I'm in the same boat. I need the Knock Engine Sensor to go off so that I'm eliglble for a new engine. Basically, I need to let the oil run out so it will cease up but I can't run it long enough because I keep getting the same misfires.
@@partsshooter nice part is that engine can have a 100k miles warranty, cat 50k miles and when cat will crumble - it will be sucked back destroying an engine - not a warranty thing.
Advice customer to have all the manufacture recalls completed otherwise engine replacement is automatically denied. Can't let the oil get that low otherwise it's an auto deny.
I have a 2016 kia sorento had to change the engine, now is burning oil. My first kia and will be my last one. Stupid cars, all dealers are crocks. Don't buy kia.

My hyundai have that same issue , it leaks oil from the gasket and now my car is misfiring is that cuz of the oil leaking??
Woow..nice sharing friend
Nie Video. Thanks for sharing GodBless 👍👌❤️
good job bro..
If it says Hyundai/Kia - engine - is bad. Crank bearings, pathetic piston rings. Cat collector - falling apart destroying cylinders inside.
I can agree, the older engine were way better. They killed their reputation

Two weeks down a quart or two, then how could oil get so dirty so fast? Garbage engine, garbage dealer telling customer to take a hike under warranty.

Hi thumbs up to your video 🤗🤗🤗

KIA/Hyundai's have bad motor issues. Excessive oil consumption and major bearing failure causing stalling/knocking.

What kind of soak do you use?
I've used brake cleaner and transmission fluid
@@partsshooterhow long you recommend letting it sit in cylinders for few hrs or days?
Berryman's B12 works great
How are you
Should not be running the car, with the oil pass the low level. The engine has a 6 year run of blowing up.
I have a customer with this oil consumption problem. . . it's not looking good for him bruv . . lol
PCV Valve .
Nope. Same car, same issue, changed PCV, still gobbling oil. 😢

Eh, never use power tools for the spark plugs.
Sure... I won't do it ever again. Seriously bro
