What I love about Lisa is she never complains that a product is bad. She finds a way to make it work and she explains why it might not work for a certain person. So many beauty gurus have shunned many products that Lisa find a way to make them work. Foundations in particular. I think the reason she, and not they, can make these foundations work is because she isn't trying to make a mask out of her makeup.
Very simple and pretty. I love the fact that from looking at your makeup, you would never be able to tell that some budget or high street brands were used. You always manage to make every look appear classy and expensive. Thumbs up!
Grace Brewer she does have a lovely calm voice doesn't she. Love all the looks that seem to enhance ones natural beauty. Such a relief watching something like this compared to some make up You tibe videos.
I love the fact that most of Lisa's makeup tutorial r "light makeup" with less layer of foundation, concealer and eye shadows that which u can wear everyday, this is way more useful then dramatic makeups that r fun of course but really pointless for common people.
My 2021 every day makeup look!! Just absolutely beautifying makeup!! Love that till date your philosophy of makeup has not changed and you have been teaching how to do proper makeup. Makeup Guru
I really LOVE how you carry yourself & the makeup you do .. it's natural, effortless & classy.. It really enhances your beauty rather than make you a completely different person.. I would love it if you done a video of easy everyday makeup for women of color specially black women.. I really want to see your take on it.. PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE
Getting married, and since I don't wear any makeup I thought I would look in to it. Found your channel and I am amazed. Your my first makeup artist I follow. Thank you!
I don't know how many times I come to your channel to rewatch all your videos. You're such and inspiration, down to earth, super sweet, and not in this for the money!
Your commentary during the mascara application was hysterical! You have taught me so much this year-thank you for taking the time out of your busy life to make these videos!
I love the little message you gave at the end of the video. It always seems like most of the gurus on RUclips are trying to sell me the same products they use and I always feel like saving my money and getting "the next best thing" or to try it out myself. But when you said to replicate with existing products in my collection, I looked at my makeup realizing that I had a lot of makeup to work with and most of my products that I wanted to throw out now seem to have potential as other items.
You are a legend. I learned so much from this and i can actually use this everyday. You are precise. And i love watching your videos because it feels like you're my mom or aunt or big sister.
Awww I remember that foundation- it was my absolute favourite of all time. I was devastated when they discontinued it. I used to get compliments on my skin all the time when I was using it. I keep hoping that Rimmel will bring it back one day 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
U r such an inspiration Lisa...from u i have learned that make up need not shout out u can look so much more beautiful with minimal makeup...u have such an uncomplicated approach to it...thank u so much....
When watching your videos I always notice how many affordable things you use, not just the flashy expensive stuff. It's all about the color and the quality, not the price. And I really love that, it always makes me think: 'See, not all good stuff is expensive and vice versa.' Thanks for that!
I love the fact you use such a wide range of brands and products, some brands I'd never heard of until watching your channel. Some people on youtube feel the need to just copy each other on what brands they will use or else it's all MAC-centric. It's nice to see someone who helps me discover new things.
I love your videos. You make me feel like I can do it too. And, I find myself playing in my make up, smiling, no matter what the outcome. Thank you for sharing.
@xoxoJuicyCoutureoxox a full list of products and links are always listed on my website...I do usually put a link to it under each film (forgot to on this one...will do it now!). x
Is that eye shadow from remmel in the spice palette? I couldn't find the single eyeshadow anywhere else? Just wondering because I really like it! Great video!
@lizroseridley I do take on assistants but when I find good ones I hold on to them for years (3 -4 on average). Then they go out into the world and have their own careers....happy to say they are all successful too, which makes me very proud! X
i love how you encourage people to take what you do and make it theirs- that is what a good art teacher does- and this is "art"- we are the canvases! know that you are truely appreciated x shelly
@Yrie27 in sunlight ...but what about in the dark winter months when the light is grey and flat...Did you still find it to look glittery then? Maybe you are lucky and living somewhere which is warm and sunny at this time of year ; ) x
What I like about your videos and your looks is that you only use a few brushes and a few products and colours, whereas other tutorialists pile up say 4-5 colours for the eyes, and change brushes for every layer, every blending, and everything!I guess is that one your looks are easier, more stable, and more natural..it's so clear that you're a pro!
I love this look! The effect is indeed quite warm and soft, really lovely. I like that it can be a subtle and very flattering everyday look the way you did it here, and then there's the option of applying eyeliner like in Dannii to make it a bit more intense. That mascara is fantastic. When you said, "a good mascara for lazy people" I felt like the mothership was calling me. I seriously need to buy that.
the mascara application was great, you almost made me "zone out" I can see how that mascara might be hypnotizing!! I really look forward to your demonstrations especially when you do your own makeup. Its really helpful for us 40 something ladies. Love to see your day makeup looks as I dont get out too much at night anymore, thanks Lisa for all of the time you give us!
i just ordered this foundation from ebay. i have been looking for an illuminating foundation that i can mix with some of my other foundations to get a glow. i love how you use a wide variety of high end and drugstore makeup. thanks for all the wonderful tips that you give us.
Also wanted to mention it would be great if you could do a foundation video on choosing the right color for your undertone and skin type. Finding a good color and formulation match is such a struggle. :)
I've watched this video at least 3 times already and it's still my favourite go-to look! You've been an inspiration to a girl who doesn't know how to do make up :) Thank you Lisa!
I love all of your videos and find them very informative. Probably my favorite thing about you is that you mix higher end products with more affordable ones. Thank you and keep it up!
Thank you Lisa! I just came back from a night shift and what a joy, a new tutorial! Looking at you and listening to your soothing voice is such a great way to relax. Love the look!
finally a makeup look from a makeup guru that is wearable and easy to do without using like 10 different brushes and 10 other eyeshadow so simple yet so elegant i also got ur concealer brush from N7 its really amazing:) thanks a lot lisa
@evg129 you may be allergic to one of the red pigments...there is one which is approved for use here but not in the states for example. Hard to say though.. allergies are quite unpredictable as you know. There is a certain amount of trial and error involved. I think Rimmel have some very good products. x
The Marie Claire cover of Danni is stunnung! It actually made me stop & stare in the middle of the supermarket a couple of weeks ago when I walked past. Easy to follow instructions and beautifully executed as usual - thanks Lisa :)
I love this MUFA cream blush, its so beautiful year-round! I would love to see a Dramatic wedding makeup and a very brightening simple wedding makeup! Thank you for always inspiring me!
love love love this look!!! it's funny but every time your videos are about to end, I am practically praying for a before and after comparison, because those are AWESOME
i LOVE watching you put makeup on! you're so informative, the lighting is great and i love that you use both high end and low end products! i'm sure you hear this all the time. thanks so much :)
Lisa, I simply can't wait for another vintage makeup collection video. I check my computer everyday in anticipation... stunning look- fabulous for spring (in the states). As always, impeccable.
Lisa, you are so amazing. Not only are you an incredible make up artist, but you are so sweet and adorable, it's truly a pleasure to learn your chic and elegant tricks. It inspires me to live more Chanel
Gorgeous as always Lisa.. Thanks for the tip mixing camo + blush together. I never thought about mixing the two together...makes sense to me now...always listen to the pros!! Thank again for your wisdom..
You're such an inspiration Lisa! Wow! Only you can make a simple look like this look so stunning! Even though you are superbly talented and a master at your art, I think you missed your calling as a model, you're beautiful!
Lisa, love this look as always....my question is that your hair always looks so effortlessly perfect....can you do a hair tutorial showing us how you style your hair?
You are glowing ! What a nice make up look...I am going to try it right away with what I have : I think there's a bronzey color in one of the sleek palette that would work... Thank you for taking the time to explain each and every step : we learn so much more this way ! Caro xxx
This is a really easy and gorgeous lokk! But I absolutely abhorr the foundation - I've tried it and it made me look like a disco ball; there's so much glitter in it!
Your tip to mix the concealer and the blush is so helpful and interesting, I'll definitely try that! I love those MUFE blushers as well Thanks again so, so much for sharing your amazing talent with us!
Hi Lisa, I was kind of surprised to see you going "glowy" because I know you're on the oilier side. I'll have to try it too. Also, the concealer + blush trick is genius! Thanks again for a wonderful video!
Loved this new video - and really appreciated your advice about using the make-up we already own to replicate the look, rather than going out and buying every new item. You look gorgeous in this video - reminded me a lot of Natalie Portman and Keira Knightley.
@tiredtill2010 have you seen the ones I've already done? there are two skincare favourites videos and one make-up removal/cleanser ones. Both were a while ago but I still use most of the products....(I have found a new serum but everything else is the same) x
Hi Lisa, looking so much forward to your tutorial on cream blush, which brands you recommend, and how you apply it! Which brush do you recommend, also if one doesn't use a foundation brush for foundation? And - when would you use a foundation brush and when not? Does it depend on the foundation? I see in your videos that you mostly use a brush but sometimes don't. Thanks!
Looking gorgeous as always! You're so good at what you do and actually know what you're talking about.I learn something new from you with every video and i love your approach to makeup.I also think you're hair looks amazing in each and every video and i'd love love love for you to do a video on your favorite hair products and what you use to style it.Hope i'm not asking for something that already exists, gone through your videos and didn't find one about hair. Looking forward to ur next video!
Great tutorial as usual. Thank you, Lisa! I especially like the trick of using a bit of liquid blush mixed with your concealer to hide spots on your cheeks. I usually use powder blush- how do I avoid having flesh colored spots on top of my pink cheeks if I'm using a cream or liquid concealer with a powder blush? Thanks!
In the very beginning, I already thought you had foundation on. Your skin is so even!! But I really appreciate that you did the before-and-after photos, because it really shows what a difference makeup can make, although you look great without it. I'd love to see a cool-toned tutorial, and someday a tutorial for blondes would be cool. Thanks for the tutorials :)
@CarlijnKortland I have the odd spot here and there ...but thats usual for me and this foundation hasn't made it worse. Its difficult to say how it would work for you as everyones skin reacts differently x
You are so amazing and I love the way you do makeup it is fantastic!!!! I also love that you dont tell people that they need to use the same exact products you are using!
Hi Lisa!! I'm not sure if you have been asked this before but, because you do get so much makeup sent to you by so many companies, could do some favorites videos (when you have the time, of course)? Like, favorite blushes, mascara, foundation, etc.? You are absolutely amazing at what you do and someone I completely trust in recommendations! Thank you xox
Thank you Lisa for the tips on concealing over liquid blush. I have shy ed away from using this type of blush because I have sunspots on my cheeks and couldn't figure out how to conceal them. This tutorial was so helpful. I love the glowy foundation look and am going to use Almay pure blends foundation which is similar. I want that mascara too, I'm lazy and love gadgets. This tutorial was made for me! :)
Lisa, I love all you tutorials! Really learned a lot from them. I feel like the concept u have on make up is just 100 percent the right way! I like how natural the finish is! It just make everyone the own better version of themselves without looking just a make up mask ! Anyways, appreciate for sharing all these awesome videos! Hope u will keep doing this and have a wonderful day! Love from LA..:)
I'd love to see a video on how you do your make up when you go away for holiday ,and what make up and skin care items you bring with you when you travel. : )
Lisa, i love this look. Glad you use some rimmel products, because they are really affordable :) I am just wondering, what foundation brush were you using? Lancome?
I look forward to each new video you post. I love how you explain each step and keep it very applicable to the every day person. Fabulous every time. :)
@SonniesOriginals would be too much in summer but this time of year its fine as your skin is probably less oily and the light is very grey and flat anyway. Yes you can apply with fingers x
@visceralanding it is quite a firm one but I find it brilliant for concealing small spots and blemishes as its very concentrated and, as its not oily, it stays put. You need to use a brush to apply it properly. To soften it, work the brush into the product well and then work it into the back of your hand a little before applying... that should do the job x
Oh lisa, you are beautiful. I'd say this look was a definate 'English Rose' sort of look. I wish I had your complexion but I'm narturally blonde and have all the problems that come with that. including far too light eyebrows that I don't know where to start with! xx
thank you for the cancealer tip. i have broken capillaries on my cheeks and this is really useful for me. so easy but never actually thought about doing it that way :)
I love her "less is more" philosophy. Let your natural beauty shine through
unless you look like shit
Julianne Lepetit No one is ugly, we just live in a very judgmental society.
What I love about Lisa is she never complains that a product is bad. She finds a way to make it work and she explains why it might not work for a certain person. So many beauty gurus have shunned many products that Lisa find a way to make them work. Foundations in particular. Your voice is so calming
Very simple and pretty. I love the fact that from looking at your makeup, you would never be able to tell that some budget or high street brands were used. You always manage to make every look appear classy and expensive. Thumbs up!
I love to put your videos on in the evenings when I need to relax before bed or the nights that I can't sleep, you have the most soothing voice

Never thought of actually mixing the cream blush with the concealer. AMAZING!

i love how she tells you the faults of a product. shes honest and a pro :)

I wish Rimmell would release all these wonderful products here in the US; wonderful video as always, Lisa!
@FanpireJen its really great. If you are going to get one its not worth getting any other brand (apart from Kevyn Aucoin which is also great) x
thank you lisa for the quality of your job
the best word to describe you is "CLASS" you are amazing!! Thank you so much for your tips!!
Lisa, i love this look.
Glad you use some rimmel products, because they are really affordable :)
I am just wondering, what foundation brush were you using?
Lancome?
It seems so easy when you do it....Thank you for this video, very clear. Yes, make up isn't always colors and colors again. Thank you again.
@visceralanding it is quite a firm one but I find it brilliant for concealing small spots and blemishes as its very concentrated and, as its not oily, it stays put. xx
@MusicHeartification if you havent got any spots on your cheeks then yes but if you have, you will rub the concealer off when you blend the blush x
