@sniegula09 When i did three series of the TV show '10 Years Younger' I always got annoyed because they would edit out the information that I felt was what women really wanted to see and hear (probably because all the editors were 25 year old blokes who wouldnt know mascara from blusher!). I became so annoying, always complaining about it when the show was on that my husband said "you have a camera, do it yourself then and stop moaning"!! So hear I'am, in control of the editing and loving it! X
The thing I love most about you is your lack of vanity and your obvious belief that every woman is beautiful, regardless of shape or size. Keep up the good work.
Beautiful look! I love how you use minimal makeup products and get a fresh, gorgeous look. I hate when so called "make gurus" put on a TON of makeup and use 30 different eyeshadows and products. You are an ARTIST. You are classy, beautiful and an inspiration. You are the PERFECT spokeswoman for Lancome. ❤️ Thank you for the videos.
I really like how you don't try to sell us on the really expensive brands and assure us that we can achieve these looks on a tighter budget. I love your videos. Very relaxing.
I really LOVE how you carry yourself & the makeup you do .. it's natural, effortless & classy.. It really enhances your beauty rather than make you a completely different person.. I would love it if you done a video of easy everyday makeup for women of color specially black women.. I really want to see your take on it.. PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE
I think you're the most educational beauty guru on youtube. I'm only 16 and feel like I've learned more than most beauty gurus on youtube just from watching your videos. I love how you show the complete look rather than just the eyes :) it's so amazing to watch you work :D
@sunnylovesit1 water will not give the smoothing and evening out effect of silicone, thats why its so popular in skincare and cosmetics production. Silicone gives a much easier application and its not a bacteria attractor like water and oil. x
This is the sort of real videos I love, without the extravagant lighting or filters. This is a real tutorial where the expertise of the makeup artist is seen and I can really learn
@7thFly its all in the application...most foundations can be heavy with a heavy hand. If you apply a small amount and spread very well and thinly most foundations can be light and natural x
Wow, what a lovely difference between your before and after pictures. the slight contouring on your cheeks seems to changed the shape of your face and the eye makeup has really opened up your eyes. I totally love it, very subtle but amazing results. xx
Hi, Lisa! A lovely look for the new season. Thank you very much, I´m learning a lot about makeup with your videos. Your husband had a great idea, congratulations to both of you. I love all the tutorials and I´d like one about eye shadow and giving that especial shape to the outer corner of the eye. I find it quite difficult. Please don´t stop doing this fantastic job. A lot of love from Spain.
This is one of my favorite looks and I've seen all your videos at least twice. It's such a flawlessly beautiful look that doesn't look overly made up, just simple and elegant and becomingly natural.
@senorabratt its good to blend this type of product well into the brush before applying otherwise the application can be very patchy. If you kept blending in the product you would end up with far too much on the brush so better to take a little and then begin spreading and smoothing the product out on the back of your hand. Every time you need more, go back to the back of your hand and work from the thin layer you have there. You actually end up wasting less and getting a much better result x
Broken record, but you are joy to watch (and listen to) over and over - I'll never thank you enough for creating your YT channel, so incredibly generous of a make-up artist of your calibre! xxxxxxxxxx
Hi Lisa, my husband and I just got back from a trip to London (celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary). I made a list of items that I wanted to get, many of which were recommended by my favorite makeup artist. Got a hold of six of your Boots lip pencils in Nude and Becca Shimmering Illuminator. My husband of course couldn't quite understand the absolute joy for me those items were. But he was happy for me. Thank you so much from Canada. Your videos are always the highlight of my week. I
I love how your looks are truly just a compliment to your features. They are simple and stunning all at the same time. As I watched this video it seemed like very little changed, but when the before/after comparison was made - it was amazing! I am so happy to have found your channel! Thank you for sharing your talent!
What a lovely make up, you look stunning with a hint of tan, Lisa, looking forward to more of these summer looks; I love how you always explain why you use a product and give your opionion, not just lay the products on your face because that is so useful for all the viewers, have missed you so much
@reaperette simple and well done is always the hardest to do properly. Anyone can throw a load of make-up on a face but its the all about applying a small amount of the right thing in the right place and blending well...thats the hard bit x
Amazing! I am blow away every time I watch you. Your looks are so effortless looking, but polished and professional at the same time. Minimalistic and yet so fresh and beautiful. you never make it look "too much". you are truly a pro!
i love how you make it look so easy for us. you use the same products (clinique airbrush, laura mercier concealer) and the same brushes (mac217) even though you are capable of using a million brushes, so thank you for that. and i also love how your looks are so modern and classy and yet it springs from an appreciation of vintage makeup. you are hands down the best makeup *artist*
you make makeup look so effortless...you really show how to enhance natural beauty and i absolutely look forward to every video you post...thank you Lisa!!!
I'm a editorial hairstylist and I just started learning makeup and these videos are so inspirational the work is flawless. I'm going to study each of her videos like my life depended upon it. lol... I love you Lisa!
@luvmymac1 it was a sephora one which had I hadnt realised they dont make anymore. It's similar to the Laura Mercier smokey liner brush, but to be honest any small brush will do for this job....as long as its not too small to blend with X
@BlacklistedGirl oh please dont apologise for asking ; ) I use a wipe to get the make-up off my hand. Look for an oil free light foundation. Nars do a good Matte foundation as do Rimmel and Double Wear light by Estee Lauder is good too. Just apply foundation where you need it and finish with a light dusting of oil absorbing powder x
Just wanted to let you know my mum did love your history of make-up video with the mary quant pencils. Thanks for all your videos Lisa, they're always a joy to watch x
It was so liberating to see a few grey hairs pecking out around your hair line in this tutorial. You are gorgeous. I am a woman in my early 40's and you are truly inspiring. You have made me rediscover my love of all things beauty.... Thank you. x
I was so thrilled when a new Lisa tutorial popped up in my subscriptions today! I appreciate that we not only get beautiful makeup looks from you, but that you take the time to explain and teach. I always feel like I understand makeup a bit better after one of your videos. Thank you for yet another lovely, wearable look Lisa, you've made my day (as always). ;)
I missed your videos, Lisa! This was really pretty, I'd never thought about using pink eyeshadow, but the effect is really lovely, very glowy and healthy.
loved the look Lisa, I have a Dior palette with similar colors and I am totally going to recreate this look and I also have to say that you have been very much missed. Apart from your incredible advice on how to make ourselves appear like we are naturally bursting beauty from within, I think that every one of you subscribers watches your videos because they are irremediably(like me) in love with your personality. Glad to have you back!
I enjoy your tutorials so much, perhaps more than anyone else's. You're very skilled, detail-orientated, informative, and personable; a rare combination.
I don't usually comment on every video but I watch them all religiously!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge Lisa! You're such an inspiration!! xx
@kaoritubes its good to blend this type of product well into the brush before applying otherwise the application can be very patchy. Every time you need more, go back to the back of your hand and work from the thin layer you have there. You actually end up wasting less and getting a much better result x
@PinkRambles I find BB concealer the creasiest of all concealers so I never work with them under the eyes. Something either sheerer and light reflective or opaque but less creamy may work better. I did make a video quite a while ago all about concealers, have a look x
Fantastic as usual Lisa. I think everyone would adore if you could upload a video each week, they are highly anticipated! I need that chanel palette now. Thanks for the video once again. xoxo
@mezy72 thanks! Chanel doesnt belong to LVMH, its one of the few privately owned cosmetic companies in the world and doesnt belong to any group. The owners are the grandsons of Coco Chanels original business partner. Thanks for watching and commenting x
@lozrii It would work just fine but you would have to apply it VERY thinly and evenly and please dont forget your neck and all other exposed skin. A good trick to calm it down if it looks too much is to mix it with your usual pale foundation or concealer afterwards and apply here and there as I did in this vid...it makes it look smoother and more pro too. x
I have watched this video probably about eight times, went and bought the Dior palette, and I absolutely love it! It so fresh, natural and very much summer-like. thanky ou so much for this video because I simple can not get enough to watch it once!
@30Betta there arent many as its a great shade and well worth getting. Suqqu and other japanese companies like kanebo etc make the best and closest matches in terms of colour and texture x
@fashionnjuice have you seen the Face Atelier bases? They are not only lovely but if you are too pale for their lightest shade, they sell a white you can add. I find it great for uber pale girls looking for a good medium coverage x
I've had this Chanel bronzer for a while now and rarely used it because I found it's just too dark for my pale skin. I actually considered giving it away. I never had the idea of using it like you just did - mixed with concealer or with foundation, or a very thin layer on its own. This is just brilliant, I'm definitely going to try it out tomorrow! Thank you Lisa! And I'm so happy to see a new tutorial, I really missed them! :)
@zaioto should be fine. I've applied lashes to women who have had chemo before without any problems. Just make sure the glue is good, I recommend Duo surgical glue. You can buy Duo at make-up supply stores, Ricky's in the US and mac stores worldwide x
I wasn't sure at first with the eyeshadow colours but this look is gorgeous. I really love how your skin always always looks flawless and natural after you've applied the foundation, etc. It never looks 'made up' - you look really beautiful xoxo
I absolutely love this look!! I have very similar coloring to you and never thought of wearing pink but now I can't wait to try it!! I cannot get enough of your videos..so informative.
Hi Lisa, I know this is an older video , but I just had to say you are such a God send for us novices you are soooooo good at your craft ! I am so sick of instagram makeup !!!! You are my Idol, thank you for sharing your expertise with us
@maloiselle The best waterproof mascara I've tried is Armani's Eyes to Kill waterproof. As much a I like the MF omascara, the waterproof versions are not great. the Armani one is expensive so I suggest you go into a department store and have them apply it to you so you can experience it for a day before you buy...make sure its good for you x
I love how you always also what colours could be used for darker skin people. Although I have fair skin, I find your tips very helpful and \i find it's very nice that you don't leave anybody out. You're the best! :)
Lisa, you are simply amazing! I discovered your channel about a year ago and feel so privileged to be able to learn from your videos. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise with us through youtube.
oh, Lisa! I'm so thankful! today's the birthdayparty (a gardenparty) of one of my best friends and i didn't know what to wear..so thanks a lot for this video! it's absolutely perfect for a occasion like that! THANK YOU!
Such an easy, breezy, Summertime look! Love your emphasis, on Less is More. So glad you took your husband's advice! The World is a prettier place with You in it, and all the women who learn from your experience, and then they too, are as Beautiful and Chic, as you! Simply The BEST! Your Friend in Kansas City, Tom
@purpleorchd6 you could try MUFE's face and body foundation, as the effect is very sheer and believeable...just iike real skin. Ask for a sample to try. Alternatively Bobbi Browns Tinted Moisturising Balm is lovely and very dewy x
hi lisa...just wanted to let you know I absolutely love you and all your vids. Thank you to youtube because it's the closest we'll ever get to great makeup artist like yourself... thank you for all your time and effort with the videos :D
This is about the sixth time I try to watch the video, the times before it just got stuck right after you apply the Poreffesional primer. But it was worth trying again and again to finally see it all. To see your work is a delight, apart from a very interesting lesson in the art of makeup.
I wasn't really enthousiastic when I saw you with than extra yellow tan I felt the same with the pale pink eyeshadow But when the look is finished you look stunning ! So natural ! Love it
@hagmnos did you notice I went back in and concealed a little more after I finished the blush application?(or did I edit that out ..I hope not!). You may need to do this too if you have blemishes and scars on your cheeks. x
I always find myself watching your videos before work, and then replicating your looks for work.. i always get tons of compliments, love you lots lisa god bless you
Gorgeous! Could you do a video about "summer/hot weather holiday makeup"? I have normal skin, but always find it a challenge to pack the right makeup for hot climates! Thanks Lisa xx
OMG i was so excited when I saw in my subscriptions that you uploaded a new vid! :) hope you aren't too busy in the coming months, I absolutely love your videos! Great look btw
I love this and totally have to get that Chanel bronzing base now!! Scared to check the price of it here in Ireland though but would be so handy for the kit as you said! x
Very pretty! I don't usually splurge on Dior palettes, but I purchased both of thier new summer palettes and I have to say they are worth every penny. At first the colors don't look too unique, but thier is just something about the way they look on. I especially love the one you used. I usually wear bolder eye makeup, but I have been loving the soft glowy look I can get with the palette. It looks really youthful and pretty and is great for summer.
@sl03p0k3 yes definitely. It reminds me a lot of my favourite primer for oily skin and large pores...Dr Brandts 'Pores no more' only this benefit one is much cheaper! X
Love this look! I got the Chanel bronzing base as a b-day gift last month and have not use yet because it looks so dark ( I'm fair) but watching this really inspired me to try it. Thanks for all the wonderful videos!
@sniegula09 When i did three series of the TV show '10 Years Younger' I always got annoyed because they would edit out the information that I felt was what women really wanted to see and hear (probably because all the editors were 25 year old blokes who wouldnt know mascara from blusher!). Wow, you're stunning! I love how you don't use a lot of make-up but there is such a huge transformation.
@Knuppa994 i had open pores by the age of 14 (many, many years ago) and silcone primers have only been around for the last 5 years x

so wonderful to have a new video from you! Love the Dior shadows - out of my price range but maybe someday!

I wasn't really enthousiastic when I saw you with than extra yellow tan
I felt the same with the pale pink eyeshadow
But when the look is finished you look stunning !
Amazing transformation, super natural and fresh!
god i get so excited everytime i see a new lisa eldridge video in my subscription box you're the best :)
What a beautiful effortless look! I love your makeup tutorials and was hoping you could reccommend blushes, and bronzers for darker skin tones?
I'm in love with the pale pink eyeshadow and it looks super pretty on you
Flawless finish! You really are the best, Lisa.
@MsGoldgirl the power of make-up lol! Thanks for the comment x
Love this look! I got the Chanel bronzing base as a b-day gift last month and have not use yet because it looks so dark ( I'm fair) but watching this really inspired me to try it. Thanks for all the wonderful videos!
