i have around 100 ping in game while my friends in the same area have around 20-30 ping i have tried your steps and it did not make much of a difference, what could be my issue?
If there is nothing wrong with your local network (pinging your router is 1ms or lower), there are possible explanations, if you have ruled out software/hardware issues: - are you using WiFi? Maybe they are on cable? - are you guys on the same ISP? It matters. The same plan? The same tech? (for example if they have fiber and you have coax) - was someone else using your connection while you were testing? (phone downloading an update, someone else doing stuff on their pc/phone in the house) - if nothing of the above solve the mistery, maybe the 'area' is far enough to matter for routing. It really depends on a lot of the decision the ISPs take when they build the infrastructure and etc. Probably nothing you can do.
You helped me out a lot thank you man
