Hi Sven. Seeing you use tha “Bounce, Hit” technique really made me smile. As my tennis coach taught me this in the 1970s 😀, yes I’m 61. But it has stuck with me all these years. In fact I still use it in matches. You know those moments when something feels off and you can’t work out what the hell has happened to your game. It’s a great way to get your timing and focus. Love your videos so much 🥂
Ey Sven, great videos. I wanted to share with you my "story" :) I am a 41 year old Spanish guy that started playing 11 years ago just for fun. But somehow padel became a way of making friends and keeping my life active. When covid hit I didn't return to play, I lost my interest in padel. I reciently discovered your channel and I have started to train twice a week and playing some games... I am a drive player and I am starting to enjoy again this sport. Here in Spain you have clubs everywhere (In Zaragoza, a city around 700k people we have more than 20 clubs to play) and it's very hard to find some spots to play or train, It's growing so fast and the buble hasn't exploded (yet). Congrats on your channel, your way of explaining things are quite funny and simple that looks to be very easy things to do. I would love to see a video dedicated to "older" players like me, on what to focus when coming back to padel. Thanks a lot!
Hit the ball behind or in the body line and you are going to find the back glass probably. You have to hit in front of you and your wrist aplys the angle.
Amazing Sven as usual. I liked the theme song You are playing ultimate. Sound great. Thanks for sharing high quality contents. I see all your videos but I'm a bit lazy to write comments. 😢 Great technique. I fully agree with You. I admit I have not that kick. Still working on that.
This is exactly my main problem: timing in hitting the ball. I m too anxious when i play and always hit too erarly😢. Can't help, even if i know the problem i have
How do you hit forehands from the back of the court lower and harder. For instance when a person is serving to you but you wanna keep your return flat and hard? Is it topspin, I feel like it always goes high with topspin.
Only recently with surprise i realized that i saw your photo for last month on dashboard in our padel center 😁 Oh wait, but i watch this guy on youtube))
You can only hit the ball if it is in front of you. When you are saying to 'contact the ball beside me', the ball is in front of you. This video demonstrates how you should orient your body and aim with your shoulder specifically because you want to hit the ball directly in front of you. Why is the messaging so indirect and confusing?
Sorry it is confusing. What I am saying is: a lot of coaches tell you to hit the ball early (in front of you) If you hit a bit later, more besides you, you will be able to guide the ball with a longer follow through. I believe this is better when playing certain angles
Seems to me you're interpreting things a little too specifically. Pretty obvious that "in front of" means in the direction of the opposite court half here, and that "beside you" means in the direction of the glass/fence to your right. Obviously if you stand with your left shoulder towards your opponent your going to hit the ball "in front of you" in a way, if you want to interpret everything literally.
It all depends on your grip, if you use continental you should try to hit the ball beside you (at the line of your shoulders), because in that point the raquet is in 90 degrees with the floor. That way you can make a more difficult shot for the opponent and the ball won’t be so high and easy. If you use another grip you can change the contact point and have the same control over the direction you want. I understand what this guy is trying to teach, because the direction of the shot depends only on the contact point.

Nicee! Yes its one of the best exercises in the world! Glad to hear that you are using it! Vamos!
Eu jogo padel com frequência há 3 anos, inclusive fazendo aulas e continuo sempre com esse problema de bater muito cedo na bola 😢

Amazing story! I am glad you are back on the court again! Keep going 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
great Sven thanx!
Thank you!
Where to put the feet is a question I sometimes ask and hardly ever got an answer. Untill now. Thanks!
Thanks Frank!
Awesome content
Thanks!

Is an option, but you should not hit too far in front of you

Haha, thanks for taking the time to write one now 🎉

Yea, I get that and thats normal. Try to relax a little bit more in your stance.

If you follow through high your ball will be high. So you should try to play topspin with a forwards follow-through

Are you playing with El Toro or El Toro 2.0?
