In this video we go over the Asics Gelburst 28:
No major surprises in its cushioning setup or traction performance, but this maintains that top notch comfort on feet for extended runs. The upper material became sturdier and more supportive compared to the previous model. Weight is significantly lighter than average, and overall this year’s version gives you a more dynamic effect on the court - thus, it may be a more ideal option for elite players.

Nice man. I mean those 3 you were considering are all amazing shoes, no bad pick there really. This one is just an easy and comfy ride, I think you’ll like them especially if you haven’t tried Asics hoop shoes yet.

Hey thank you! There is no main difference only small ones - more secure lockdown on the 4, slightly lighter but takes longer to break in.
Width wise how wide is the shoe? Looking to get a pair but can’t decide between the extra wide or regular? The widest part is 4 inches on my foot
I have just slightly wider feet and the standard width edition is sufficient. It’s more spacious than most other shoes on the market. If you’re a 2E / 4E I think it’s probably better to go with those specific versions if they’re available to you.

Yes. Last year’s 27 was a lower cut so maybe that’s why they didn’t do a low separately we’ll see this year! Better colorways needed for sure 😂

I have the Kayanos (25-26-27-28-29-30) for running and daily work since the last 10 years, so I’m pretty sure hoops shoes are great too.

would you say that the traction is comparable with the previous version? i absolutely loved the 27 for its traction but that pair has been worn out for quite some time now so ive been thinking of an upgrade!
Yup same level of traction performance. And yes unfortunately these do get worn out over time perhaps they could start working on the outsole durability more…

Between the nova surge low, gelburst 28, and gelburst 27. How would you rank them?
Nova Surge Low 28 27, differences/gaps are razor thin. 27 I played in it the most last year, objectively it lacks a little bit of that upper rigidity that the Nova Surge has.

I don’t have the 15 sorry. Gelburst is the better performer to me that’s for sure.

Hi Tommy, just got the gelburst 28s today..cushion feel kinda stiff/dead compared to my ASICS gt-2000. Do they soften up after a few runs? I was expecting similar foam to the gt-2000s haha.
Btw loving the AC12s. Wish I got more than 1 paue but will keep an eye for more sales
Hey, oh I haven’t had those to compare but yes it should soften up a little bit over time. At the end of the day basketball shoes and running shoes, even with the same tech brands still differentiate the softness level cause you can’t get the hoop shoes so crazy soft like that. 👍 All City’s are nice!

Hi bro. Do you unyellow your shoes that has milky or icy outsole? Someone gave me gt cut 1 that they havent played since it release and they are yellow. I am wondering if we unyellow them will it effect the traction?
Hey. I don’t know a solution to that, yellowing is hard to deal with - it depends, hard to call whether it’ll affect the performance or not.
