Dunna Did It I was looking at the Falcon Eyes F7 but then I saw the Atomcube by Pilotfly and I think I’m gonna get that one instead. No magnets, but it has bluetooth wireless control
Dunna Did It Those tripod screw multipacks are a godsend. They come with 3/8 to 1/4-20 adapters (male-male, male-female, and female-female), cold shoe to 1/4-20, so on. Whenever you need to mount stuff, they come in clutch. In addition, crab clamps are perfect for whenever you need a sturdy mount for your accessories.
Well, I've always used a lens hood, yes to reduce flares, but more to protect the front of the lens. I like this idea, but I'd have to do without the hood.
One thing I added recently is a sensor cleaning kit with gloves, brush and blower. It’s already come in handy when I accidentally touched a sensor when changing lenses. And huge thumbs up to the lightning cable card reader. Saves me so much time!
@@dunnadidit Check Nitecore BlowerBaby V1 or V2, they are way better than standard rocket blowers and they use filters (regular, sensor) to eliminate dust or dirt shooting back into components or sensor. V2 also has a light and brush built in. I own V1 and I would never go back to standard rocket blower. Battery also lasts long. As for cleaning kits, any good brand microfiber cloth and Zeiss lens cleaning solution works great. Sensor cleaning swabs with fluid from 'UES' worked great for me to clean sensors in my cameras. One such swab kit can last a very long time(Swabs should never be reused).
Cannot believe I had never thought of buying multiple step up rings (I too shoot exclusively with 77mm filters) and 77mm lens caps! Doing that right now.
Dunna killin it. Made sense the clip u did for instagram lol. The lights and the color checker... and the rings... its all important even tho they might not be the most interesting and fun items but sooo necessary
- Nitecore BlowerBaby V1 or V2(replaces rocket blower, lens and body brush kit) - Zeiss cleaning solution in spray and microfiber cloth - Peak Design Capture clip V3(awesome, works with any Arca Swiss tripod heads or quick release systems) - Nitecore 2in1 USB charger(supports two models of batteries and has many intelligent features, also can be powered via powerbank) - SmallRig wrist strap - UES sensor cleaning swab kit with cleaning fluid(cleans the sensor very well) - Camo wrap tape(uses no adhesive, easily removable, dirt cheap compared to neoprene covers and Alpha Guard) - for those shooting wildlife and birds - Pocket multitool with screwdriver and hex bits(very useful when rigging video setups or fixing things while traveling or on trips) - Small rechargeable Tic Tac sized pocket LED lights from Nitecore or off-brand(very useful for astrophotographers or those shooting in low light) - Sennheiser MKE-200 very compact external mic with very good audio(fits easily into a pocket, requires no additional power, super small)
Like usual great video! What would you use as a key-light while traveling? I do streaming video (so in front of a PC) on the road so a lot of the time in hotel rooms. I'm trying to put together a nice compact "on the road" kit... any thoughts?
@@dunnadidit it looks pretty nice. Still big, but really interesting. It seems more complete than my Neewer Metal Bi-Color LED Dimmable 660 Beads (require a diffuser). Right now, I travel with and Aputure AL-MX, M-9, and a portable reflector. It's definitely compact, but I need a way to "build" my setup with more consistency. Thank you!
I want that dude to scream 'MAGNETS' just one more time. :D Going out to shoot some sunset shots today I realized one of the items photographers tend to forget in all the gear they remember to bring is shit to keep warm enough! I'm lucky I was just outside my back door, but I didn't to go inside and miss anything so I froze a bit. Got the shot tho :)
Okay so it's "kinda" related to the light section of the video but : How do you get that look ? I mean, the background is kinda dark and we can see clearly the colors and everything while you are pefectly in the light. Is it a distance thing, camera settings ? I can't find the answer anywhere ^^
It’s TRICKY! The key is trying to be far away from the background. Then trying to make sure that your key light doesn’t spill onto the background too much. You see on the right side how the orange color I have coming from the falconeyes f7 doesn’t POP as much as the blue/purple? That’s because my key light is spilling past me onto the background. But the further away from the background you can get, the less that will happen. Also, key your key light close to the subject, the inverse square law helps you there. If your light is close to the subject, the ratio between light on the subject and light on the background will be more favorable for a dark background. Lastly, I block off all the light from the windows so I’m starting from basically black.
@@dunnadidit Thanks SO MUCH ! I'm gonna screenshoot that for the next ones and see what I can do ahah ! Thanks again for the answer AND the video man ! Really appreciate your time !
Thank you Daunna. Please, is it possible to use Wireless Microphone to shoot Video using Video Camera? Will it have Sound effect On Video Sound/Audio if no Microphone Cord is plug on a Video Camera?
Hey dunna quick question? Is the a difference in transferring photos/videos via lightning card reader vs sony's built in app transfer system? Is there a loss in quality doing it wirelessly?
Dunna Did It Oh right, duh! Lol. Thanks for the reply! Picking up the a6600 soon and your channel has helped a bunch considering you use the a6500 a lot.
Hi there mind asking how long do you take to charge your three Sony NP 950 batteries with the current charger you have which can charge three at one time?
They do! The freewell VND’s come with magnetic ones, the polarpro’s come with their own as well. Some nd’s still have front threads so you might be able to also fit a normal generic one on there too.
I just happened to order the Aputure MC. Feels weird how excited one can be about video/photo lighting, beacuse for me that used to be the least interesting part of filmmaking.
Are there really good budget alternatives for those of us who don’t have the budget. Some subs live in countries where these items are double and sometimes triple the cost you pay in North America
Whoa. The sd-adapter shall instantly go in a shopping cart. Didn’t realize that I can import raw that way to LR. I sometimes don’t use the “proper” camera since it’ll take such a process to get photos posted.
Honestly, I've never had an issue with it. I don't mind carrying lots of batteries either... what I hate is the moment when you have to choose to either try to stick it out for the shot or change the battery and halt production.
So I got the RavPower batteries and double charger you were talking about and one swelled up inside my Sony A6400 and could have destroyed it.. I almost couldn't get it out.. can't recommend these and probably gonna just grab some Sony brand.. hit me up if you wanna see the battery
Not charge generally, you can power it with a power bank but in my experience, if you’re filming, the battery is still going down a little bit. And also, then you’re carrying a power bank lol.
Yeah $130 for what amounts to small case with some swatches in it is ludicrous. I just carry a sheet of white drawing paper in my camera bag for white balance and it hasn't failed me yet haha. However I just shoot still and not video so YMMV.
Yeah, I held off for a long time but I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger on it. Its very cool for exposure as well.. if you just need white balance then your white sheet will do fine...especially for photo.
Pepper spray. When you travel with all your gear and small things you carry there will always be prying eyes lurking in dark corners ready to pounce once you pass them.
What Photo/Video Accessories would you add to this list?
