Happy New Year James. Hope you and your family enjoyed any celebration you guys had. I pray for great things for you and your family this year and great to hear you guys are doing well. Glad to see and hear your awesome voice and quirkiness back on film. You are a great person. Thank you for all your hard work in 2017, and thank your family for all the support they give. All that couldn't have been easy on them you were on all the time. I'm surprised that any one out worked you on youtube. To me you are the Shatner of youtube. Whether you do your own thing or do challenges other youtube artist do and make them your own it was always good and fun. Exited to see what is on for 2018. I recently returned to drawing so my challenge to my self is to draw with you or your videos every time I watch them. I usually only watch them with morning coffee or as entertainment because you are living a dream well at least part of one of my dreams. Awesome keep it up and God bless. Happy new year James Riaz! Nice studio! Next month I'm going to get a new adjustable glass desk (right now I'm using an old wood desk that's kind of small). I've only been drawing for about 2 1/2 years after getting back into it after a 20 year break (I pretty much only drew in my elementary school years, and a little bit into my teens) and my goal for this year is to *gulp* get hired by a major comic book company.

James my personal opinion If I was you I would invest into a cintiq! I had a Wacom bamboo tablet and then I got a Wacom cintiq and it is so much better! But that’s just my thoughts on that! keep up the amazing work!

hi james love the videos and i'm struggling with finding my style do have any tips also man do you have any advice on starting an art youtube channel
try exaggerate citrine aspects of the piece and simplifying other part experiment with that I'm sure you will get there eventually!
At this point try everything and see what you like - in terms of youtube I will get more in depth soon, but my main advice is - START! Who cares about the quality of your video - just start doing it - you won't get better unless you start :) Then when you start - don't look at subs - work on making your quality better...

I am curious how many videos did you post last year with all the Livestreams and vlogs. I think that 300 videos could be attainable because if you count vlogs, Livestreams, tutorials I don't think it would be too difficult for you to do 300 videos in one year because I felt like that was what you accomplished last year or the year before. I could be wrong but it felt like it with all the streams and vlogs while making the Star Wars piece.
It was definitely a lot my friend - but I won't be counting vlogs, unless they are on my main channel :) Happy New Year Christopher!

I had a massive art block for the longest time, but decided to set up my account for Inktober (it was a last minute decision). I got 90 subs by the end, which for me felt pretty amazing, I only really did this for self motivation. My goal is to reach 200 subs by the next Inktober and just keep drawing and having fun with it. Good luck for the future, you're immensely talented. Do you have a milestone goal for this year?
Awesome congratulations! You can do it - and thats a great attitude - it's all about having fun :) Milestone? Not really - subs come and go, and I don't have much control over it - I can control how much work I do tho :)
