    I had such trouble with the 2.5 ssd/HDD thing. Video was of much help 😊. Searched the whole day for a solution of a problem. Read in a forum - HDD is compatible, ssd not? Isn't this weird? So I put in Samsung 870 8tb. All normal, recognized, but then in Windows it locks up while copying, especially when writing. I even had data corruption. Reformat took ages. Ssd is fine, I tested again.

      Maybe you understand more and have a idea. It would be such a dumb limitation of lenovo.

      Tried it as last resort with an old 512gb ssd. Now this working! So it must be of other reason. Copied between external 8tb and internal 512gb several gb without issue. Vice versa, - still no

      @@ItsBinhRepaired that's right! sadly no sucess. Think I will use it as external, speed is enough and as a benefit greater flexibility when switching devices (-:

    i just bought this laptop. just upgraded the ram, it had a soldered 8gb. i put a 16gb stick, now have a total of 28gb. which i can tell a big difference when it comes to speed and boot up times. but what would you upgrade the hhd slot or the ssd stick? im new to all this so bear with me haha. I'm trying to make it a nice fast laptop. my only complain about this laptop is the battery life sucks! I've been trying to find a battery upgrade but nothing yet :(

    HI!
    Isn't it necessary to disconnect the battery cable before installing components, as stated in the maintenance manual?

    • @ItsBinhRepaired
      @ItsBinhRepaired  5 месяцев назад +1

      No, only the screen cable. You can disconnect it and hold the power button 15 seconds to be extra safe though if you'd like.

    So what was the cause of blue screen after all. Was it the soldered ram or the sodimm one ?
    Also physically what did you learn from the experience ?
    Please share because I just bought this unit and may return if they have such failures common

    Have a user who plugged his iPhone into the thunderbolt port and the laptop immediately crashed and will not power up. Power light goes solid for 6 seconds and goes off. Did he fry the motherboard? Wont power on with just Batter or Just Power supply
