What about the actual science behind these Biblical Dietary guides?The issue with all unclean meats is that of TOXIC LOAD. Animals that retain their urine like Sharks and Camels have a much higher level of toxins in their bllod and tissues. Animals that reingest their excriment (Copraphgy) in order to further digest their food, due to much shorter digestive sytems than the ruminants (which never do this),
also carry a larger toxic load. Horses, rabbits, and pigs are in this category. Pigs also do not sweat, which increases toxic load as well.
Shell fish either ingest rotting animals and detritus on the sea or lake beds, or filter the water, removing impurities. Again, toxic load is the result. Carrion eaters, such as vultures and birds of prey are not recommended. When God tells us something is unclean and asks us not to consume it, it is because He loves us and wants us to "prosper and be in health". We should be grateful to our wonderful Father for the heads up.
Many people do not eat pork as well as SDAs. I lived in Israel and both Jews and Muslim Arabs did not eat pork. The only people who do in the Holy Land are Christians!
I was a qualified chef and I was told in Catering College that pork and shellfish were "high risk" foods without any religious slant at all.
I’ve talked with a precious friend about my trial coming up which is to do with a visit my sister who’s daughters husband is going to be roasting a pig & I literally don’t wanna be around where that animal is going be placed on a spit 🤮that’s enough to make me nauseated/sick. My friend said she still tries her best not to even think about her circumstance where a pig was being roasted, she said yes, there’s a smell in the atmosphere. She also sat as far away from the situation as she possibly could. So, she’s told me to state my thoughts/concerns about this matter. I’m to ask that I’m left at the cottage house while they’re doing what they’re going to be doing. That I know it’ll really disturb me. And to keep on asking for their understanding & respect my wishes on this matter. Hopefully it’ll work out for me. Pray 🙏

The SDAs should not hide behind the old testament. In the book of Romans it says in 3:19, "all that is said in the books of the law, applies only to those who were under the law. Also read zeckaria 13:1, Romans 14:2-4, 13,14,20,23-25. Mathews 15:11, Titus1:15 Mark7:15-20.

@@ShawnCheriYoung We keep thinking of what faith gives. What our human nature likes, unliked by the spirit. The spirit guides those faithful to Jesus. Spirit guides on how to go about the law and not the way our forefathers carried the laws to keep them remembering.

@@samuelaggray4680 Those in Christ are not under the law. Those under the law keeps thinking about the law but we, have the laws written in our hearts. We don't keep reminding ourselves to keep the law for we are redeemed from sinning.
As I was raised as a Seventh Day Adventist I thought we didn't eat pork because of a religious ritual beliefs. Then one day we were at my grandparents house for my grandfather birthday. They were having a cook out, Hamburgers and hot dogs. I was eating Hamburgers and not the hot dogs. My grandmother went to my mom and told her I wasn't eating any hot dogs. My mom said aren't you going to eat a hot dog? I told her we can't eat them. She asked me why not? And I told her we don't eat pork. She told me that they weren't pork hot dogs. When at school my friends that were catholic would eat pork. My grandparents were catholic. So I had to asked how does she know? And she told me when my grandfather had his second heart attack. The doctor told him to stop eating pork and stop smoking. This is when I realized we don't eat pork because of a religious ritual but because of health.
It's forbidden in the Torah and the Prophets. Do we love YHVH and His Son? " For this is love that we obey His Commands/Torah." 1John 5:3 Then we obey Him. It's our worship to Him.

Yes!!! For the Biblical definition of sin is transgression of Torah/law. 1John 3:4. " If we say we know/ love Him and don't keep His commands, then we are a liar." 1John 2:4

Wow exactly the question that troubled me lately on how will i answer people if they were to ask that if there are other things that they don't have to keep in Leviticus anymore than why should they still adhere to the unclean meat/fish/bird.
CLEAN / UNCLEAN FOODS are in Genesis 7:2...so, before there was a Jew there were foods you could not eat....unclean animals were for cleaning the earth of garbage or carcasses

Because G-d tells us what is and isn’t for food in Leviticus ch 11. And even the Christian leader Paul described what is “sanctified by G-d’s word” (Leviticus 11 again) in the New Testament, so it would appear even early Netzrim were in fact keeping G-d’s Torah.

1 Corinthians 8:8 But food does not bring us to God, for if we eat, we gain nothing, and if we do not eat, we lose nothing.
Excellent points! May I just add the importance of the rest of the passage in Acts chapter 10.
Act 10:19 And while Peter was pondering the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Behold, three men are looking for you. *Rise and go down and accompany them without hesitation, for I have sent them"*
Act 10:23-24 *So he [Peter] invited them in to be his guests* . The next day he rose and went away with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa accompanied him...[and] Cornelius was expecting them..."
As was the custom at that time (and even unto today) if a person was invited in to be a guest, they would eat what was prepared by their host. Peter's household would have served Kosher food. Likewise the next day Cornelius would be the host when Peter came to visit, and Peter by entering Cornelius' home, would have been the guest and would have eaten what was prepared for him by this gentile household. This hospitality would have been particularly on Peter's mind for he was previously given a vision actually instructing him to eat unclean meats.
Act 10:28-29 And he said to them, “You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean. So when I was sent for, I came without objection.

"Yet Michael the Archangel, when contending with the devil, he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee." The name Michael means, "Who is like God?" So the definition is itself a question. Who is like God? No one else. So, really, Jesus here is saying, Who is like me? Again, no one else.
Now, 1Thessalonians 4:16 says, "For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the VOICE of the Archangel, and the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first." Now who's VOICE raises the dead? Well of course the text says, the ARCHANGEL's VOICE is the one. But let's examine this a bit further. JESUS HIMSELF answered that question in John 5:25. "Verily, verily, l say unto you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear THE VOICE OF THE SON OF GOD; and they that hear shall live." Now, l think that is evidence enough that Jesus is Michael the Archangel. There is more evidence, but l think that is enough. But let me be clear. I DO NOT believe that the Bible teaches that Jesus is an angel. Archangel just simply means "the HEAD of the angels."

I have a lot of SDA friends they're all failed to keep all the laws of Sabbath, laws of foods, laws of Seven Days Advantage Church. They said they needed more of Yeshu Jesus Christ!
i agree. they're still living under the law. The law of Christ supersedes the OT laws.
The 10 commandments are eternal and for everyone. Moses laws 613 of them were to be kept by Jews and anyone who followed God till He died for anyone that loves Him. 10 commandments are Never done away with and will be kept for eternity.
Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

I'm convinced that if we love the LORD our love grows as we learn more about Him and we want to follow His Word closer and closer the nearer to His Coming, not farther away from His clear teachings. And it's about love, honor, respect, and gratitude because we see the price paid for our salvation as the highest price ever paid, it shows the value He places on us, His bride. Would a new bride try to do everything she could to please her Husband? Or would she try to do the least she could to still remain His bride? When the LORD says don't do something, should we try to get as close to breaking His commands as we can? Or should we trust Him and satay as far away from what displeased Him as we can? We need to pray for Him to open all our eyes and let us see all these things the way He does, not through the lens of our lusts. And pray for Him to take those lusts out of us one by one and use the self discipline He gives us to be able to work out our salvation as Paul stated.

On the contrary, Paul never told you that you could eat pork. No, you're just twisting his words, exactly as the Scriptures said people would do. Moreover, there's nothing in the Good News that says you can eat pork either. It's an ABOMINATION, haven't you heard?

That passage in Mark 7 & Matthew 15 has nothing whatsoever to do with eating unclean meats. It's talking about whether a person is defiled for eating FOOD (unclean meats are not food) without performing a Pharisaical HAND-WASHING ritual. _Matthew 15:20 NRSV These are what defile a person, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile."_
@@sourmilkministries9445 Sour Milk, while it is true that the the passage is initially addressing the Pharisaical ritual of hand-washing, Jesus adds more: "There is nothing outside a person that by going into him can defile him,." It says "NOTHING" can defile him, and that means a hotdog or peperoni pizza too. Sour Milk “..are you also without understanding? And Christ is not talking about germs from dirty hands here either, He is talking about foods, that is why in verse 19 states "Thus he declared all foods clean". (It doesn't say "Thus he declared pharisaical hand-washing null and void.").
@@NoSundayLawComing No, actually, it's your understanding that's the problem. As the Messiah rightly said, defilement comes from within. Meaning, that it does not come by eating ANYTHING (clean or unclean), or by eating without doing the Pharisaical hand-washing ritual. Be that as it may, that does not translate into that you get to ignore His instruction not to eat unclean meats, as that would be an act of disobedience. And, mind you, that disobedience comes from your heart, and not by the things you eat.
And, as for the controversial phrase:
"Thus he declared all foods clean".
Assuming that's even Biblical, it still means nothing. As the Messiah is simply saying that all FOODS (unclean meats are not food) remain clean, even if you eat them without doing the ritual.
Now, with that being said, let me ask you the same question that I've asked scores of people, which to date, not a single one of them have had an answer, and I don't suspect that you will either. Here is the question:
Can you cite ANY other instance (other than the eating of unclean meats) in which something the Scriptures called an ABOMINATION, is now an acceptable practice for New Testament believers? If you can't, that ought to be a clue.
But, hey, if the truth be told, I suspect that you've got bigger problems than just committing an abomination; as I think that it's a safe bet that you're also practicing acts of EVIL, by profaning the Most High's Seventh Day Sabbath, each and every week!

Act 10:44-45 While Peter was still saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word. And the believers from among the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even on the Gentiles.
So the Holy Spirit fell on these gentiles who eat unclean meats, and who Peter and his companions stayed with (and likely were served gentile foods that were considered unclean). The laws that divided the Jews from the Gentiles was abolished in order for these two groups of people to now be one.
Eph 2:14 For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility
Eph 2:15 by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace,
Eph 2:16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.

I specifically asked you to cite any OTHER THING (other than the eating of unclean meats) in which something the Scriptures called an ABOMINATION was now an acceptable practice for NT believers to do. Whereas, all you've done is miscite a passage that you incorrectly believe supports the eating of unclean meats.
Nonetheless, concerning Acts 10: First of all, apparently, you're not familiar with the term "God fearer". A God fearer would not be eating, or serving pork to Peter. Moreover, Acts 10 itself does not support your contention that it's okay to eat unclean meats. You can see this for yourself by watching our video entitled:

You're right Jessica I truly believe God has blinded these people's eyes. because they broke his law majorly by following a false prophet's teachings. Galatians chapter 1 an Revelation 22: 18 and 19 I don't think they can help it.

Jessica I know you're telling them the truth but .they'll never get it. I hope they get all the vegetables they need .I really don't care . it's just that:( I'd be more concerned about where they're at, with the investigative judgment that( Ellen White) put in heaven ) and where they're standing in that , right now!! She's the same person that got them to believe in the no meat eating thing. An the Sabbath keeping thing according to her God told her that!!. And they (believe her more than the Bible.) That didn't happen before she came along! they actually held Sunday Sabbath but the previous people that were in charge. of the group :they had Jesus coming back in 1844 and when that didn't happen ;the group split up in different ways and part of their group are, the Jehovah's witnesses ,so you might understand here what's going on.
Interesting sermon. I have four comments:
1. Noah's story being before the mosaic law ignores that fact that it was Moses who wrote Genesis. In fact, we need to consider the very setting that Moses would have written Genesis, which is quite likely during the 40 years before Israel entered the promised land. During this time, God had already revealed to Moses and the Israelites what is clean and unclean. This knowledge can definitely make its way into Genesis before the law was given. The same can be said of the Sabbath day, I doubt Abraham observed it, but Moses could point to it right from Genesis because the audience needed to know why the should observe it.
2. There are few missing scriptures that are important to tackle in this debate as others have shown, Acts, Timothy... Would have been good hearing how you handle it.
3. On the point of the good health perspective, if we are to take it seriously, we'd have to let go of many things like junk food which has so much unhealthy sugar. Drugs and alcohol yes, but let's also consider sugar as an addictive drug. I'd ask a health expert, between sugar and pork (not bacon or any processed meat), which is the more unhealthy?
4. Does a practice that preceded the law given by Moses necessarily imply an eternal principle? The eternity of a principle should consider how the New Testament handles it too. Some of the practices were borrowed from the way of life of the surrounding people.

Interesting comment.
1. By the fact that it is assumed that Moses wrote Genesis, are you implying that he wrote his own knowledge into the biblical history adding to what God would have supposedly revealed to him? If that is the case, one can then easily say that Moses lied or embellished the Story of Noah.
Did Moses also use his then current knowledge of clean and unclean animals when he related the story of animal sacrifice by Abel, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob etc.. Only lambs, rams (clean animals) were used before the law was written in the wilderness.
2. What are the missing scriptures from Acts and Timothy that could be good objection to this debate?
3. All things that were unhealthy in the old testament was forbidden or discouraged. Unhealthy snacks would have also been forbidden or discouraged if they existed in those days. Infact all unhealthy practices are discouraged in the new testament based on keeping holy and clean the body which is the temple of God? Plus unhealthy does not mean unclean. Unhealthy could mean eating too much, or using plants or alcohol to get high or foods with empty calories. There is nothing wrong with the substance of plants but its use or misuse is what makes it unhealthy. Unclean means dirty/ defiled/unholy/pathogen carrying substance, such as blood, serious sicknesses that are infectous, sexual discharges, certain toxic animals etc. Unclean also does not always mean sinful. So, junk food is not sinful unless you over indulge but eating unclean animals is called an abomination which is another word for hateful/sinful.
4. Most practices given by God before the written law does have eternal principles. Such as Sabbath, marriage between one man and one woman, work etc.

I'm not sure what you are directing me to, I see you said "video 8...."
- Peter's vision and meaning of the vision is clearly explained in the same scripture by Peter's own words in Acts 10: 9-28. In verse 28 Peter explains what God had shown him in the vision that he should not call any MAN (not animals) common or unclean. So the vision had nothing to do with real animals or eating. Visions ususlly have symbolic images that mean something entirely different, like Daniel's Dream about beasts which had nothing to do with real beasts and everything to do with earthly kingdoms.

Vs. 3 & 5 is Key in understanding the context of this verse. I ask you, is every creature good and not to be refused for eating? How about a vulture, is it ok to eat that? How about eating poison frogs, or dogs or cats, are they good for food?
"All creature of God is good" in the context of the animals that God deemed to be good for food in the law, to those who "believe and know the truth" of the scripture. Where in scripture did God sanctify unclean animals for food? Remember in the days of the apostles the only scripture that existed were those of the old testament.
-Romans 14 again, must be read in context as should all scripture. Vs. 2 and 3 explains that some are vegans and others are not. Paul is advising the brotherhood not to condemn each other as both parties are not sinning if they choose to eat meat or eat plants and fruiy only. These verses are not saying that unclean meats are now clean.
Vs. 14 says nothing is unclean of itself (that is in the context of animals that were given for food). If someone thinks they should not eat chicken, which is clean, to that person it is unclean be ause he deemed it so. This does not apply to animals that God said were not fit for food. So these verses are about meat eaters and vegans being against each other and condemning each other.

You can see this from the Bible in Acts chapter 10:9-20. Peter gives the explanation and interpretation of the vision in verse 28.

Mark 7 (& Matthew 15) is talking about eating food (CLEAN MEATS, etc.) without first performing a Pharisaical HAND-WASHING ritual. 1 Timothy 4 is talking about those who would forbid you from eating CLEAN meats. If I were you I'd think again joining a group of people that has a false prophet as a leader is a very dangerous place to go. Galatians chapter 1 and revelations chapter 22 verse 18 and 19.

This guy is putting you under the old law we are saved by Grace through faith he's twisting scriptures there when he gets into the idea that there are things that were not cleansed when the sheet came down from heaven to Peter. I know he would twist that too My mother and my family members have eaten every kind of thing under the sun most of them have lived near 100 years old have been very healthy all their lives and have actually in some cases have spiritual situations in their lives like my mother at one time had been praying and received a vision to show her and to help her through life from then on not to be used for anything other than for her . this guy's putting you under the law He's going to face the judgment on that. I think the Bible would imply that it would be all right for him to live that way if he wants but to try to tell others that's how they need to live would be wrong . When he says God did not cleanse those foods and people have been believing that is exactly what the scripture says he can steal their faith if they believe him and not the Bible.
Don't worry. You will face judgement too, like me. So many people like to take the easy way out and disregard all 10 commandments and the health message. Carry on about being under the law and legalistic bla bla bla. If you LOVE God you will be obedient because you LOVE him and keep the true commandments that were given to Moses and his people and which also exist in the heavenly sanctuary since the beginning of time. Interesting how the 7 last plagues are given to the angels in the Most Holy place where the Ark of the Covenant is holding the commandments. Adventists follow God's instructions re clean and unclean and have a strong health message. Interesting how a documentary was made years ago commenting on those who live the longest and Adventists were listed as one of the few. I know God set these instructions re food in place, and had no intention of anybody disregarding them after time. What God says in the bible never changes unless HE changes it, not man. If you look at Revelation, he still comments on keeping the 10 commandments but humans have taken it upon themselves to change them or say things like "we are not under the law" as long as you believe you will go to heaven etc. Unfortunately, this thought may very well get you a ticket to hell. Those who believe, havr great faith, share the everlasting gospel, keep his commandments and follow his laws will receive a ticket to heaven. I hope you study more and not be deceived. Yes Jesus addressed the issue of the traditions of the elders, but He also added the issue of where uncleanness takes place in human beings. He explicitly said that "it's not what physically goes in that makes us unclean, but it is what comes out of our hearts". Man's soul fell by Adam's transgression. All of mankind from Adam was counted under sin, because " in Adam all die" (1 Cor. 15:22 & Rom 5:12).
That's why the keeping of the laws of the old testament could not get rid of that sin. Sin is engrained into every man/woman that comes from Adam. The keeping of laws could not get rid of this problem (Romans 8:3-4).
That's why Jesus said that you must be born again. Therefore you cannot become holy by avoiding meats, or keeping of days. You become Holy by a new birth, in order to over-ride what Adam plunged us into. You do this by "dying to your old self" and receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit to give you a new sinless nature. With this new birth, you don't need to observe days, and meats.
Jesus did not come out of Adam's genealogy. He was "carried" by a woman of Adam's genealogy, and raised by a step father of Adam's genealogy, but none of them produced Him. He was "seed" created in the womb of a virgin. The ingredients that triggered His conception did not exist in any man or woman from Adam, for they were all unholy by Adam's transgression. Jesus was thoroughly Holy in both sperm and egg. Mary was just an incubator.

First of all, Mark 7 (& Matthew 15) is explicitly speaking of whether a man is defiled by eating FOOD (unclean meats are not food) without first performing a Pharisaical HAND-WASHING ritual. It had nothing whatsoever to do with the eating of unclean meats such as pork, which the Scriptures call an ABOMINATION.

Moreover, Yeshua (Jesus) did not come to set us free from the Law, as the Law is Holy, Just, and Good. No, He came to set us from our sin (our transgression of the Law), exactly as Romans 8 says. Romans also says:
Romans 6:15 NKJV What then? Shall we sin [transgress the Law] because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!
Romans 3:31 NKJV Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.
And, you're dead wrong in supposing that we do not need to BE Holy (set-apart).
1 Peter 1:15-16 NKJV but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, (16) because it is written, "BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY."
And, how do we do that? By observing the Most High's set-apart days, and only eating His set-apart meats, etc.

@@sourmilkministries9445 You are ignoring so much scriptures to try to hold on to things that we do not need to observe anymore. There are parts of the law which do not change, but the vast majority of the law were ordinances depicting the real ordinance after Christ was offered for our sins.

The Bible says that those carnal ordinances were imposed on the people until the "time of reformation."
What makes us Holy today? The regeneration by the Holy Ghost, so that our hearts are purified from an evil conscience. By this, the root of evil thoughts, murders, adultery, etc is destroyed. Those are the things that defile a man. Eating meat doesn't defile.

@@daystargospel5566 I'm not ignoring anything. The problem is that you're ignoring context, and you did just that in both of the passages you cited. Hebrews 9:10 is talking about the duties of the Priest, and the food and drink offerings they make. Do you really suppose that they were offering uncleans meats on the Altar? And, as for 1 Timothy?
That passage is talking about those who would forbid you from eating CLEAN meats. You know, the meats that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. And, what is truth?
Psalms 119:142 NKJV Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Your law is truth.

@@sourmilkministries9445 Please, you pick and choose. Yes Hebrews 9 talks about the priesthood, but the ordinances of the congregation are included, because it speaks of "carnal ordinances". That involves, purification rites of all, etc. It's not only the priesthood ordinances that ceased, but also those of the whole congregation.
1Tim4 speaks of "every creature of God is good and nothing to be refused". So I don't see how you can derive only "certain creatures" from that.
Now he's got to change words and word meanings in the text to make it come out like he wants it. but he needs to read the parallel text to it in 1st Timothy 4 there if you notice he calls it doctrines of demons it kind of goes back to the very same concept that the original reading is. without twisting any words these people can't have anything change the way they want to view it and keep the law they couldn't keep it if they tried.
You do err, not knowing the power of God. Read things in context. Paul was not talking about unclean foods, but food offered to idols. And ... if God is not powerful enough to keep us from sinning then the bible is a lie, and we are in no better shape than before He came.
