Thank you President Wilson for this timely message at the beginning of the New Year. May God bless you and your loved ones! I loved this quote: "Now, as you may know, we as Seventh-day Adventists base all of our beliefs on the Holy Word, the Bible, the Bible alone. The Seventh-day Adventist Church does not have, nor has it ever had, a set creed. Instead, we have a collection of 28 Fundamental Beliefs that express what we believe the Bible teaches.”-President Ted Wilson

We need God’s help to be able to navigate the
relationships in our lives well! We live in a divided world, where topics such
as politics or religion can create huge rifts in our relationships. This is not
God’s best plan for our lives. Ask God to help you to put on his compassion,
kindness, humility, meekness, and patience! Pause to listen and show love, even
when you face a dividing issue with someone in your life.

All I would like Ted Wilson to explain, is why is the cross in the Seventh Day Adventist Church logo turned up side down. Isn't that a free mason symbol? The entire sign with the three worm-like image on either side of the up sided down cross, looks like a suggestion of the number 33. Three on one side and three on the other. That is a 33 degree mason symbol. I need answers.
Why was the original tree angels sign thrown out?

Sister White wrote: "Let not erroneous theories receive countenance from the people who ought to be standing firm on the platform of eternal truth. God calls upon us to hold firmly to the fundamental principles that are based upon unquestionable authority. CCh 326.7
The Fundermantal principles(1872 -1931) are based upon unquestionable authority. Do we not question the authority by revising and rewriting it?
"The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A new organization would be established" 1SM 204.2
She wrote it in response to the Kellogg Crisis who questioned the fundermantal principles: the first point states: "That there is one God, *a personal , spiritual being* , the creator of all things, omnipotent, omniscient, and eternal; infinite in wisdom, holiness, justice, goodness, truth, and mercy; unchangeable, and *everywhere present* by his representative, the Holy Spirit. Psalm 139:7 FP1889 147.2
"I have been instructed by the heavenly messenger that some of the reasoning in the book Living Temple is unsound, and that this reasoning would lead astray the minds of those who are not thoroughly established on the foundation principles of present truth. It introduces that which is nought but speculation in regard to the *personality of God and where His presence is* 1SM 201.3
By comparing the first fundamental principle with the fundermantal beliefe today we see a great difference.
"That there is one God, a personal, spiritual being"
"There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a
unity of three co-eternal Persons"( Fundamental beliefe today)
Testimonies for the Church, Volume 8 was written in the Kellogg Crisis: there we can see clearly what the truth is
"The Scriptures clearly indicate the relation between God and Christ, and they bring to view as clearly the personality and individuality of each.
"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; being made so much better than the angels, as He hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said He at any time, Thou art My Son, this day have I begotten Thee? And again, I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son?" Hebrews 1:1-5.
*God is the Father of Christ; Christ is the Son of God. To Christ has been given an exalted position. He has been made equal with the Father. All the counsels of God are opened to His Son.* 8T 268.1 - 8T 268.3
"As a personal being, God has revealed Himself in His Son. Jesus, the outshining of the Father's glory, "and the express image of His person", (Hebrews 1:3) 8T 265.1
"Again and again during my experience in the Lord's work, I have been called upon to meet these erroneous sentiments. In every case, clear, powerful light has been given that God is the eternal, self-existent One. From my girlhood I have been given plain instruction that *God is a person, and that Christ is "the express image of His person."* Hebrews 1:3. God always has been. That which concerns us is not the how or the wherefore., Ms 137, 1903, par. 3
The truth that the one God of the Bible is a person is contrary with the view of the Church today.
For God is not three persons in one person.
1 Corinthians 8:4-6 "we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him."

Heavenly Trio, not a Heavenly Duo ... right?

    • @earthenvessel7952
      @earthenvessel7952 2 года назад +1

Hello@@brianbeavers2890 You are right, its a heavenly trio. In the light of the testimony, the heavenly trio is the personal God, his divine Son , and the Holy Spirit. Read following testimony.
"God cannot be compared with the things His hands have made. These are mere earthly things, suffering under the curse of God because of the sins of man. The Father cannot be described by the things of earth.
The Father is all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and is invisible to mortal sight.
The Son is all the fullness of the Godhead manifested. The Word of God declares Him to be "the express image of His person." "God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Here is shown the personality of the Father.
The Comforter that Christ promised to send after He ascended to heaven, is the Spirit in all the fullness of the Godhead, making manifest the power of divine grace to all who receive and believe in Christ as a personal Saviour. There are three living persons of the heavenly trio; in the name of these three great powers-the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit-those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized, and these powers will co-operate with the obedient subjects of heaven in their efforts to live the new life in Christ." 21LtMs, Ms 21, 1906, par. 9-11
First, notice that she wrote in the beginning "God cannot be compared" and then she repeats herself and wrote "the Father cannot be described"
It is interesting because what precedes this states:
"I am instructed to say, The sentiments of those who are searching for advanced scientific ideas are not to be trusted. Such representations as the following are made: "The Father is as the light invisible: the Son is as the light embodied; the Spirit is the light shed abroad." "The Father is like the dew, invisible vapor; the Son is like the dew gathered in beauteous form; the Spirit is like the dew fallen to the seat of life." Another representation: "The Father is like the invisible vapor; the Son is like the leaden cloud; the Spirit is rain fallen and working in refreshing power."(par.9)
The representations of God here are made with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. She did not saw them as one God and wrote, that they cannot be described with the things of earth. She believed in a personal God and knew that "God is the Father of Christ"(see comment before).
The heavenly Trio is God, the Father, a personal being: "all the fullness of the Godhead BODILY"
Jesus Christ is " all the fullness of the Godhead manifested. The Word of God declares Him to be "the express image of his(God's) PERSON"
And "The Comforter that Christ promised to send after He ascended to heaven, is the Spirit *IN* all the fullness of the Godhead"
The view Ellen G White had of the heavenly trio is contrary to the view of the Church today.
At the end she speaks about baptism. And about Matthew 28:19,20 she gave testimony in another manuscript, were we can see the same truth. It's here original writing; the brackets come from here.
"Before He left them, Christ gave His followers a positive promise that after His ascension He would send them the Holy Spirit. "Go, ye therefore," He said, "and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father (a personal God) and of the Son (a personal Prince and Saviour), and of the Holy Ghost (sent from heaven to represent Christ); teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." Matthew 28:19,20 12LtMs, Ms 41, 1897, par. 34
      .
Hope you will look it up in prayer. God bless

    To the servant of God at this time is the command addressed, “Lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.” So far as his opportunities extend, every one who has received the light of truth is under the same solemn and fearful responsibility as was the prophet of Israel, to whom the word of the Lord came, saying: “Son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.” [Ezekiel 33:7-9.]{GC88 459}

Elaboration increases clarification. But, for me, the first Fundamental Belief like the first verse in the Bible establishes this believer's foundation. That is, the Bible and the Bible only sanctions all the other beliefs. And the fact that "in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" gives verity and credibility to all that follows.

The Sabbath given to Israel was an old creation Day of Rest between Israel and God in the mosaic covenant.
We that are A NEW CREATION IN CHRIST have a different Sabbath Day which we keep Holy.
It is being Christ Himself He is The Sabbath our Day of Rest. It is everyday that we must keep holy. There were no days given to keep separate as a Sabbath unto God by Christ after He fulfilled The Law for us. There are no holy feast days to observe but we fulfill all the old shadows daily as we walk in spirit and in truth.

  • @Hiram_Bates

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand. What exactly is the difference between a "set creed" and 28 written "fundamental beliefs"?
Here is the dictionary definition of a creed:
creed ( kriːd) n 1. (Ecclesiastical Terms) a concise, formal statement of the essential articles of Christian belief, such as the Apostles' Creed or the Nicene Creed 2. (Ecclesiastical Terms) any statement or system of beliefs or principles [Old English crēda, from Latin crēdo I believe] ˈcreedal, ˈcredal adj Creed ( kriːd) n

@@lisasoriano8 Those who came up with the Nicene and Apostle's creeds did so, so that the masses who were illiterate could memorize important scripture. And in case you weren't paying attention to this video, it was always a group or conference of "men" who crafted little by little what is now the official Adventist creed of beliefs about the Bible, and their extra-biblical prophetess. Creeds and a list of Fundamental Beliefs are no different.

      @AdventistOrgChurch  2 года назад +1

A church creed was more than a statement of belief; it was an elaborate, all-inclusive, binding, officially adopted summary to which all members must subscribe. By contrast, they understood statements of belief to be simply a description of who they were, what made them unique, and what Bible truth they had discovered up until their present time. Statements of belief were used to refute false teachings, expose errors in the nominal churches, and clear themselves of false charges.

Progressive revelation has played an important role in the development of the Seventh-day Adventist church and its theology. Analysis of the doctrinal statements of the Seventh-day Adventist church over the years is revealing. The early statements of 1872 and 1889 show clearly the impact of the 1844 experience on the Adventist pioneers. They thus demonstrate the integration of belief and religious experience. Thus, before accepting any doctrine or precept, we should demand a plain "Thus saith the Lord'' in its support.

The original 1870s and 1880s list of SDA beliefs did NOT include the so-called, non-Biblical "Trinity doctrine"... but rather the Bible-based concept of the Godhead doctrine...

We have a prophet who was given for us to not be deceived in these last days....so much deception...because we did not believe God's prophet...and now will suffer ...just like Jerusalem. So discard her and her words...you will soon understand just how much we need them...and it will be too late.

@@terry5914 The Great Hope was a disaster...and people should be ashamed they dwindled down the words of truth to the point of making it basically useless. One day God will contend with them...and it will not be soon enough. I read in God's word what happens to those who deny the prophets and it never turns out good for them...why do we think it will be any different this time? Move to the country...nope..our food and water are sure...When did this deadly thinking come into the church? I don't know of a single Adventist that is prepared for what is coming...and they will be just like those left in Jerusalem...and just as useful when it clears...and God's word will go out without error. Only they will not survive...because they denied God's prophets and preferred Peace and Safety...with a big old bucket of just plain lazy.

So the foundation of the “ Adventist “ group is fundamentally flawed. From the prediction of the return of Christ to their 28 fundamental “ beliefs” that they claim are not creeds. There was no reason to write anything more, the speaker should be referring to scriptures in context that evidences the truth of God’s word.

We're delighted to receive your Bible question, Daniel. Notice that the whole chapter is on judging one another (verses 4, 10, 13) “over doubtful things” (verse 1). The issue here is not over the seventh-day Sabbath, which is a part of the moral law, but over other religious days. Jewish Christians were judging Gentile Christians for not observing them. Paul is simply saying, “Don’t judge each other. That ceremonial law is no longer binding.” In adherence to your question about our salvation, let us always remember that Christ died for all of us. Jesus freely offers each of us the gift of total redemption from sin. Our part in accepting this gift is straightforward:
“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation” (Romans 10:9-10, NKJV).
It’s our belief in Him and our choice for Him that allows us to be saved.

Mr. Ted.. if you solely believe Bible Alone.... Where is this located in the Bible.. "This gift is an identifying mark of the remnant church and we believe it was manifested in the ministry of Ellen G. White." hence you claim that Mrs. Ellen G. White is your prophet.... And how can you be sure she's not the false prophet since Matthew 24:24 it says For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Read carefully John 14:15-16, 21, 23. Three times here Christ spoke and told who the Holy Spirit is. THIS is Biblical. How is it that Ellen White came out of a trinitarian church only to go back to being trinitarian? I do not believe she did. If we hold the Catholic church to be anti-Christ, how is it we can accept the central doctrine THEY claim is the basis for all their other beliefs?

So which day a person gathers for church is the Great Controversy? Can you show me ine scripture backing that garbage up? Going to church to worship Jesus is actually worshipping the Beast? Where's one scripture in the whole Bible that says Christians can only gather to worship Jesus on Saturday? Where's the RCC mentioned in the Bible? Revelation 17 calls all false religions which come under the Pope, the Vatican, the city of Pagan Rime, the Great Harlot who ride upon the Beast....the Roman Empire! Thst Gid puts it in the hearts of the 10 kings to destroy the Great Harlot, all the false religions underneath the Pope. The city of Rome is actually destroyed! So hiw can the Pope be the Beast? Willful Biblical ignorance is no excuse!

28 Fundamental Beliefs of the SDA
2005 - Added "Growing in Jesus"
Seventh-day Adventist accept the Bible as their only creed and hold certain fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. These beliefs, as set forth here, constitute the church's understanding and expression of the teaching of Scripture.
    1. The Holy Scriptures
    2. The Trinity
    3. The Father
    4. The Son
    5. The Holy Spirit
    6. Creation
    7. The Nature of man

    10. The Experience of Salvation
    11. Growing in Jesus
    12. The Church
    13. The Remnant and its Mission
    14. Unity in the Body of Christ

    16. The Lord’s Supper (Communion)
    17. Spiritual Gifts and Ministries
    18. The Gift of Prophecy
    19. The Law of God
    20. The Sabbath
    21. Stewardship
    22. Christian Behavior
    23. Marriage and the Family
    24. Christ’s Ministry in the Heavenly Sanctuary
    25. The Second Coming of Christ
    26. Death and Resurrection
    27. The Millennium and the End of Sin
    28. The New Earth
Note: They added "Growing in Jesus" as #11 and they change the word "Godhead" in #2 which is Biblical and change it to "Trinity" which cannot be found in the Bible. The Godhead and the Trinity are two different meaning. The Godhead according to the Bible is our Lord Jesus Christ while the Trinity which is not in the Bible they said it is the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit and this three persons is talking to each other.
Supporting text in the Bible about the Godhead:
    Paul in Athens:
    Acts 17:28-30
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
    God's Wrath against Sinful Humanity:
    Romans 1:19-21
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
    Fullness of Life:
    Colossians 2:8-10
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
