    hi im after a 28t sprocket and ive seen one i like. its a TotalBMX Victory sprocket.
    ive also seen the shadow interlock v2, but theres one called v2 race chain. now my bike isnt for a specific sport like street or race. i just want a 28t as it will give me better drive. and i want a halflink chain because they look better quality and it will last me good. i also know i cant get a spline sprocket or a drive sprocket as my bike doesnt have that. will the totalbmx victory sprocket and shadow interlock v2 chain / race one go well together? im not sure what the difference is with the 2 chains maybe 1 one is thinner.

    • @thebasementbikeshop2336
      @thebasementbikeshop2336  5 лет назад +1

      The race is thinner and might not work with the victory sprocket. The regular v2 will work for sure.

    Does the Park Tool CT-3.3 chain breaker work with shadow conspiracy chain?

  • @45graham45

    Thanks for the video. Why so a chain always have a tight spot & a loose spot? I can never see why that happens - I thought it was just the chain on my bike that did that

    • @thebasementbikeshop2336
      @thebasementbikeshop2336  5 лет назад +1

      I feel the Park Tools CT-3.2 (not the CT-3) chain tool works the best. I've also had good results with the odyssey chain tool.

    My back gear doesn’t slide smoothly onto the chain but my sprocket is fine :/

    • @Roshan_420
      @Roshan_420 3 года назад

      I moved the chain 180° and now it works fine so the smaller gap is the first thing that touches the back gear followed by the larger gap :)

      I might. I've heard bad things about it especially when breaking a shadow v2 chain but i should get one to review it myself.

    If anyone who sees this is interested, yes most sprockets and cranks will have a tight spot.. when you tighten the crank bolt behind the sprocket it just happens.
    To avoid that chain tension difference as much as possible get a SPLINED sprocket. Pretty sure they only sell them for 48 spline cranks though.
    This way it will always be as perfectly symmetrical as it can be and you won’t have to fidget with the chain’s difference in tightness/re adjust 1000 times.

    Do not buy shadow chains! Worst chain iv rode for over 10 years. It broke on me 3 times in 6 2 hour sessions. Be fair warned
