Today I'm playing LUNATIC PRINCESS on piano!! This is Kaguya's Theme from Touhou 8 IN. Another highly-requested cover that's finally making an appearance on the channel. I have to say, between this one and Eirin's Theme ZUN really delivered on TH8 final bosses huh? I feel like Imperishable Night has one of the best soundtracks overall. So many iconic tracks!

@@ViddyWellSA11 Did you read the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter? I didn't play IN or any game with Kaguya in it so I don't know if they've mentioned the fact that you have to marry her after completing a request. Cool that you know that though

This feels so impactful when you first hear it in the game. ZUN is an absolute genius.
I must say, Lunatic Princess is perfect to play in a piano.
That piece have a special touch, if i see somebody playing this in a church, i could cry 😂
I swear this is one of the most impactful pieces that ZUN has ever made

One thing I always find very interesting about touhou 8's songs is how its almost always composed of a "simple" melody and some complex "fast notes"( I dont know the translation in english for "escala" btw), this combinaion just sound so... oriental.... it fits the "patriotism" that is present on ZUN's works(obsiously, touhou literally is the western project) and the context of the game so much...its amazing...
And seeing you doing the hard parts so easily like that is really impressing, good job as always!👏👏👏

and the standing of the imperishable continues until the end of the theme.
idk how you always do it, but your arrangements always make super emotional. Great stuff! Love the stingers you put at the end of these songs, really wraps things up in a super satisfying way.

from most of the touhou musics, this is the only one that got me into the limits (even when i simplified the arrangement) AND complete it. i'd try youmu theme but my left hand has to work 10x more so felt like going to this one

Been a bit busy so I haven't had time to watch many videos or play much Touhou, since I started a new job. Ironically despite summer meaning no college I still end up busy. Last time I posted I think I was trying to grind out the 1cc for UFO. Long story short, I had to give up on UFO and took the easy 1cc for now. Bashing my head against that wall (Stage 5) got demoralizing. TD was easy and I just got a clear the other day. Literally made it to Miko on my first try, but Miko gave me more trouble than any other final boss before her so that still ended up taking a month
I remember back when I first played Touhou 13, I actually jumped straight to Lunatic mode because I was reading stuff life "this game has the easiest final boss" and so I went "cool let's play on Lunatic then"
When I got to Miko I was actually kind of surprised. She isn't easy by ANY means. I'm more confident in fighting Okuu than Miko lol

But in piano it sounds alot better ngl,the repeating notes get much more "alive" and sounds more energetic
