- A video of me fighting through stage 6B and its boss: The Eternal Moon Princess, Kaguya Houraisan, without dying or bombing.
Help with difficult attacks:
GENERAL:
Yes you can manipulate boss movements, but its not as important here since there are fewer attacks that you need to rush through. As always, go to the boss's left to move them left and their right to move them right.
1ST NONSPELL:
One of few attacks in the series that is designed to trap you and is extremely effective at doing so. My advice is to rush through it and manipulate Kaguya's movements. Also, get used to going unfocused.
DIVINE TREASURE "BRILLIANT DRAGON BULLET":
This is mostly dodging. It traps you occasionally but not always. I'd actually advise against aggressive dodging and instead, if you get dense patterns of circle bullets, move further horizontally. The gaps in the long bullets get smaller though, so be warned.
DIVINE TREASURE "SALAMANDER SHIELD":
There are 3 strategies for this. You can do what I do and stream very slowly so you don't need to reverse the stream, you can stream vertically or you can stream horizontally at a normal speed. I found that vertical streaming was too complicated for me to learn and doing reversals isn't always reliable. You can take out one of the familiars before they start shooting but this is only useful if you doing horizontal streaming with reversals. If you doing the slow streaming strategy, you'll want to pass through almost every gap the static pattern makes. Skip a gap if the laser will spawn in said gap. Be warned though, I skipped 3 gaps and was less than a second from death. If you're not at full power, do not use this strategy.
DIVINE TREASURE "LIFE SPRING INFINITY":
General strategy should be obvious. The only things worth mentioning are that you should try to deal damage to Kaguya as quickly as possible and that the hitbox for the lasers is a bit slow. When they appear to go solid, you have a short time during which you can still pass through them unharmed. The same is true for Divine Treasure "Buddhist Diamond" and Forgiveness "Honest Man's Death". You'll definitely want to practice this extensively if you're uncomfortable dodging bullets from behind.
DIVINE TREASURE "HOURAI JEWEL":
Streaming. You can do the start in a number of ways. If you want to do what I did then the first position's height is the top of the capital "I" in "Imperishable". I start the main part of the spell from the first digit on the score on the youkai gauge. The streaming is actually very consistent and easy if you use the yellow balls strategy, which involves turning the stream when you go under the yellow bullets that I did. The last 2 reversals require you to use cyan bullets instead. For the penultimate reversal, you'll need to move through the gap, wait a bit then turn the stream.
"IMPERISHABLE NIGHT'S END -PASCHAL MOON-":
The lines are aimed around around you so you can get very close to Kaguya. As for the reversal of the red bullets, I drop down at 09 on the timer (I go by hearing the counter count twice). Rest should be obvious.
"IMPERISHABLE NIGHT'S END -HALF PAST 4-":
The lines are static, with Border Team hitbox, the bottom right corner is safe for 3 waves but you might need to move with other teams. For the rest, as a general rule of thumb, I tap to move 3 times or more to ensure the bubbles don't hit me.
"IMPERISHABLE NIGHT'S END -RISING WORLD-":
Very RNG dependent and very fast. Honestly, I got lucky and there's not much you can do except practice this. The key is getting used to dodging the fast bullets rather than trying to unfocus and move somewhere else on the screen. With the curving bullets, try to stay in the centre but get some practice at doing the attack off centre too. This was by far my most problematic attack, so don't feel bad if you're struggling with this. I came close to death multiple times.

Wouldn't that be nice. Capture all Kaguya's spells in one run and you unlock a hidden cutscenes where Kaguya accepts Reimu's hand in marriage and it's perfectly yuri-tastic. And then Meira crashes the party and challenges Kaguya because Reimu already accepted HER marriage proposal from back in SoEW...

@@riyadmuhamad7869 Im referring to Reimu's hitbox tho. Also, in the case of the bullets shown in the timestamp, the hitbox takes up most of the sprite.

And manipulating the instantaneous, with the implications of making things able to change instantly, which is ridiculously overpowered. Also Zun for some reason elaborated on that ability and made it seem even more bullshit ridiculous for no reason whatsoever, because the manipulation of the instantaneous also apparently means being able to gaze into parallel timelines during that instant and effectively witness the near-future…. How drunk were you Zun? Well imperishable night was really good so he probably very was.

Something about the ending and the desperate-sounding music brings a tear to my eye... I really don't know why... it just plays on my emotions
It's like playing/listening to gaming history. This fight and Last Word were, at the time, supposed to be the end of Touhou. In hindsight we know now that IN ended up being the one that ensured Touhou would never die.

If you don't know or arent familiar with touhou. Those bullets are called ring bullets and the white outer part of them doesnt actually have a hitbox so you can squeze through them pretty easy. Bullet hitbox in touhou are weird especially in IN you could search up touhou hitbox just to see how different the hitbox is compared to the sprite.
well, in the bubble bullets(the big ones with the white outside, colored middle and empty inside) the hitbox is relatively really small. only the colored part hits can hit you, so you're free to go around the white part.

You only focus on the attacks which matter. Most of the bullets don't actually matter and are just there for visuals

Extra lives are irrelevant (no retries), can't use bombs.
Malicious Tengu basically don't fucking die when it's active
In this case, you can't use bombs, and if you die during one of these spellcards, you fail it without losing a life and it skips to the next one and (iirc) you don't get any points (because you didn't clear it), also at the end you get penalized (or something like that. I haven't played in a long time).
This "nullity" state is also present when you practice spellcards in this game. There, you can't use bombs and if you die you fail the spellcard and have to try again.
The Nullify state activates during Last Spells- basically bonus spells that you don't actually need to beat to win, but you get a ton of extra points if you do. You can't bomb them, and if you die, they end immediately.
@@Dreigonix It also means you got the amount of time points in order to increase the time by 30 mins and not an hour, essentially clearing two stages with that gives you an extra continue due to IN's mechanics.
what defines if you will face eirin or kaguia in the end?
The first time you play IN you face Eirin. The second time you play on the same team/character you face Kaguya. After that you can choose at the end of stage 5

If you beat 6A, then 6B will start automatically once you clear stage 5 again. Then if you beat it after that, you'll get to choose which final stage you play every time you beat stage 5.

@@Andrew-ch3xj No they're not. Reimu is quite hard, mainly due to Blink, but Marisa genuinely doesn't have any really hard patterns. How easy it looks means nothing.
