That inner door system is really interesting!
That is a very unique, one of a kind but very eclectic elevator with mix of all sorts of parts.

This elevator is no more😢. It has been demolished and only the interior doors into the building remain

Dieselducy, have you ever considered going to Asia to film elevators from companies that do not install lifts in America? (Such as old vintage lifts from Japanese manufacturers)

This is a traction elevator with a 2:1 roping notice the compensating sheaves on the top of the cab and the counterweight and where one end of the rope is anchored at the top and side of the counterweight frame? From there the guide sheaves at the top of the shaft route the hoist ropes to the geared traction machine's driven sheave at the bottom of the shaft. Or behind a wall with a deflector sheave. 2:1 roping makes the elevator slower FPM but carries more weight.
I wish you would've shown us the machinery and motor for this as well.

Never seen an elevator that collects its inner door on the way up and puts it back on the way down. I´m pretty sure that this wouldn´t be allowed by authorities here in good old germany.
It's a safety feature. People used to jump out at the top so the inner doors were added.

DieselDucy wish I was there....
it wasn't his fault though! the button mod is here because:
1. the older buttons as you said before must be old and sometimes not work
2. when elevator is aging, the floor names can dissapear because its paint
and also these doors on floor 1, 2 and 3 are simular to 1939 elevator doors, and dont blame me for this but the 1993 elevator got automatic doors which are here on the ground level
