I have a 2007 GTS250ie. I could be SOL if I were stupid enough to lock my ignition and put my “dumb” key in either the glove box, under the seat or in my top box. I’m still not sure why so many new bikes (BMW, Vespa, etc) think the world needs a key fob. I was in Italy in 2019 and tried to help a gentleman whose buddy rode off with his fob when they traded bikes. Boy was he SOL!
If you lock your key in the older scooters there’s a way to open the glovebox through the horn cover. I removed the glovebox to install turn signals and didn’t align the lever for the ignition switch that you push to open the glovebox door. When I finished up and closed the glovebox door I couldn’t open it up again. Panicked for a minute and RUclips to the rescue. It’s not convenient to get it open but I didn’t have to break anything to gain access
Ugh! Last year I went on a 1200kms Vespa trip from Barcelona, ferried to Rome, then drove to Tuscany, to Corsica, Sardinia and back to Spain. AND I lost my keys in Florence!!!!! It was impossible to find and get a replacement - I tried and tried and it was very stressful. What saved me? I had the small waterproof fob as a backup. When I got back to Spain my dealer had to special order new fobs for me. (I ordered two). Next I zip-tied and hid the small fob on my scooter where only a mechanic could stumble across it. I want and need that backup solution. Things worked out for me on that last trip, but when traveling far distances, so many things can go wrong. Theft or loss, etc etc. I would really like to get 2-3 additional small fobs.....????
I've been wondering how to get in if the battery is dead. I kept a small jump pack in my old Vespa under the seat. In this set up if the battery is dead I have no way to open the glove box (or access fuses) and therefore no way to open the seat to get the jump box... There must be a mechanical method to access the glove box....
Unnecessary complication for something that should be simple. What happens if it falls out of your pocket while riding? I seen a city on the news that is handing out faraday bags to cut down on the huge increase in car thefts.
Hlep.Good day. I would like to ask how to solve the problem on Vespa 300 gts 2023 year. The key must be brought as close as possible to the key reader. The range of the key less system is very weak. The authorized service does not know what the problem is. Thank you.
I really dislike these keyless bulls that manufacturers are forcing on all vehicles because electronics will always be hacked also vehicles are more expensive and the keyless bull is much bigger and uncomfortable to carry in a pocket. And pity Vespa, the most expensive scooter out there but look at the passenger hand rail, it looks so cheaply and poorly made!

I locked a package in my gb and it caught on the latch. I could not open it for a year! Finally had PRY and pull. Love the color of that scooter!
THANK YOU Robot. LEGEND !!!
Carry a spare battery for the fob. I have had a big problem where mine went out on my truck without a warning😮

How about locked in a top box? Would that still be in proximity or would you use the mini fob?

But what if you lock it in a top box along with top box keys as well?

So is not any lock? For regular key?
can i found cover for the vespa keyless key? Somewhere?
Hi, Does this wireless key fob work with Vespa GTS 300 supertech 2020? I'm been wondering if the older vespa can be "upgraded".
No it doesn't. You could go the aftermarket route for an alarm that has remote keyless.
Well mine doesn’t work when the key is under the seat.
Simple solution - make sure you have a spare key for emergency
So I have this same scooter in black and these tricks didn’t work on my bike. WTF?!
Key for scooters and motorcycles, fob for cars
legendd
What happen if I lose my fobs 😂😂 what can I do haa tell me
