he was voted out - goodbye
What is the point scrabbling for a limited number of votes on the racist and Islamophobic right of British politics?
Under the UK's FPTP electoral system, in order to win power, you have to capture the centre ground of public opinion. If the Tories want to challenge Farage, they won't be any challenge to Labour !
Dear Mark,
You can stand on the centre ground and still address the problem of mass immigration and cultural cohesion. The UK doesn't even have to resile from the UNHCR. It's a question of will and courage. I say that because in Denmark the government has actually addressed the majority views of the people. Those views are almost identical to the views that most Brits have with regard to immigration. By the way, Denmark is certainly not a country full of "right wing nut jobs". I won't explain how they did it here. It would take up too much space but you can look it up. The facts are easily found. My point is this: if the Danes can do it, so can we.
We've had a bellyful of so called centre ground MPs. Look at the mess they left us in. We need politicians to grasp the nettle, stop lying and betraying and do what the British people are screaming out for.
For 'Broad Church' read 'Ungovernable due to irreconcilable group divisions.'
The Reform needs to take more from both parties the Conservative Party is finished.
The problem is that most decent hard working people want a reduction in immigration, but are unable to vote for reform because of the additional nonsense, like anti LGBT bigotry and climate change denial, so ultimately they have created their own reason to not vote for them. Every society has around 10% of people who would be happy to live under fascism though, hence why they get any seats at all.
@@joshrichards608 Relax. Climate change is not human induced and a quite normal development. And where do you see LGBT bigotry? As a gay man I have never found nay amongst either party officials or members
@@joshrichards608 Assuming 10% of the people who voted for Reform are fascist is wrong.
@@Cincinnatus-q4i I'm sure some media company will try to frame them for that in the next election. Oh, and Reform got far more than 10% of the votes versus Labour, joshrichards. They should, by rights, have 90 plus seats. Perhaps there were far too many Labour voters hoping for endless woke, net zero and EU control just to spite those on the right, rather than thinking about what's good for the country.
Unlikely to happen. Have you spoken to any farage fans? They're basically cultists
Jimbo they are simply racist and unrealistic.
Yet Farage disappear from Clacton within hours of the King Speech to bend the knee for Trump.
Its not stealing lol 😂
I don't know which world he is in. Tories are finished. Kier is offering conservative things with less chaos. Nigel is offering full-on right wing menu for whoever wants that. There is nothing new for Steve to offer from ERG days! Get rest, Mr. Baker it takes decades to repair the scars your party and you caused over the last decade.
As a life long Conservative voter there is absolutely no way I will return my vote to them in the near future. They completely failed to represent the concerns of the silent majority, our culture and the economic stability of the Nation. Their adherence to the wishes of external political forces such as the WEF and the Great God Green have made us all much less well off!
What a brilliant comment Paul - I'm exactly the same my friend. Having cut up my CON card over a decade ago I'll never ever ever vote for that bunch of corrupt liars ever again. Only REFORM 🇬🇧 for me now
Same here we are now members of the Reform Party, the Tories are finished as we are concerned and Labour disgust us,
ok boomer
That infamous meltdown on tv 😂 ta ta champ
Any attempt to appeal to Lib Dem voters loses my vote straight away. How can we ever trust them to be Conservative?
“Belief in freedom, fiscal responsibility and so on…” Stirring salad of wordage! Brexit made people less free: can’t freely travel to EU, can’t export freely to EU, can’t bring pets to EU, can’t avoid endless and useless documentation…freedom. I laugh at your freedom. As for fiscal responsibility: billions on test and trace, PPE, HS2…and just getting started. Be gone, Baker. Have you no shame?
Thats never going to hapen conservitives are dead in the water and he is a trater he walked away like the trater he is
Baker was an ERG supporter of Brexit which was a Total Con. Once the Tories renounce Brexit they might get more votes!!
Dear Bill,
There was a referendum and the majority of the people of this country stated they wanted their country to resile from the treaties of the EU.
I'm a Lib Dem, but there's no denying that Steve Baker is correct about the Tories fighting for the centre ground
Four million UK voters made it clear they do not agree with Labour and the Tories with regard to mass immigration and cultural cohesion. I suggest a middle ground UK government can address this issue and thereby win back a sizable portion of those four million votes. It can be done and the UK will not even have to resile from the UNHCR. I make this bold statement on the basis that a Danish centre government has already done it. I won't set out how they did it here; it would take up too much space but the facts are readily available.
@@peterellicott58 What's wrong with cultural cohesion? Would you rather have cultural division?
No, the Conservative party should merge with Labour.
Don't be silly Nick - The high tax Fake CONservatives are far too left wing for Labour! 😂
You are right. Apart from the fact that Labour is slightly more woke the parties are basically the same.
I thought they already had.
The Tories are not getting back any voters 🤣🤣🤣
People seriously don’t get it
The Tories are over
I agree but if Badenoch wins and goes heavy on immigration control (i.e. resiling from the HRCT) she might win.
@@peterellicott58 What does "resiling" mean?
@@dannyquinn9128 Here's a definition of the word: 'Resile'
verb re·sile ri-ˈzī(-ə)l resiled; resiling intransitive verb: RECOIL, RETRACT
especially : to return to a prior position resile from an agreement
I thought the Fabulous Baker Boy had left politics?
Goodbye and don't come back
Nope.
The tories should see themselves as cast out and ask Reform to accept them.
Five MPs.
Stop being silly.
@@julianshepherd2038 stop? We havent even started
@@olivere5497 Not even started being silly?
@@dannyquinn9128 exactly. Reform is the future.
@@olivere5497 for a silly future
Very clear, no lessons learnt. Tories still entirely self-regarding.
Excellent interview. Great craic. Increasingly Steve Baker is becoming a legend. 🌟
WHAT,!! He took the kings shilling as soon as Sunak offered it to him,and dropped his principles so he could climb the greasy poll,
@@ML-xh1go interesting 🧐
It’s about policies and being competent, not about a party. The public spoke .
win back !!!! not a chance i was a loyal voter but every time you knew better i have had enough
That will never hapen we trust reform !
Who's we?
I find myself being annoyed at the bias and sheer propaganda of this channel, on a whole range of subjects .
I’m unsubscribing now.
Vote reform UK
The next election isn't until 2030 mate.
