    I keep thinking that more and more a glue down vinyl plank flooring is superior as far as having problems later on. I havent reached a decision yet as to which I will use. Glued vs non glued VPFlooring.

      @@TheHandyNeighbor Thanks so much. No matter what I do I think there may be areas of my new floor because of the swelling of joists etc. that will make it 1/4" off in a variety of places. I wonder what a professional would do in this case. Would you simply just go to glued vinyl plank then?

      It is probably swollen OSB subfloor that you have to sand on the top. Not sure 100% I would have to take a look. Glue down is more for the concrete floors but you can install them on osb/plywood as well.
      You can try laminate flooring as well, it has better locks.
      Costco might have a good one.

      @@TheHandyNeighbor Thanks. I have no OSB down yet. Just raw joists and as I put a level on a run of them they are out as much as a 1/4"

    Can glue down 5mil vinyl be installed on steps and small hallway upstairs on wood floor? Currently carpet.

      Yes I did In my basement on OSB subfloor entrance landing and steps. Then I got rubber bull nose for the steps.
