Stunning little car. It’s magic to still such low mileage examples still around. Love the little roam around and seeing all the quirks
What an absolute treasure. With just short of 2,500 miles, it isn't just original, it's virtually brand new! Is it even broken in yet?
Your mini is mint. It should be in a museum.
This is *ridiculously* clean!
Thankyou for the walk around, Amazing unique car, nostalgic for me as my Aunty had an E reg & P reg Mayfair back in the day
Alloys were an option on the 1984 Mayfair. My mother had black one with blue velvet seats and deep pile carpet like yours. I'm pretty sure the optional Alloys on an 84 Mayfair were still 10'' but with a much wider J. I'd remember what they looked like if I was to see them again.
Sadly never got any photos. It was all 35mm in those days.
What a great find and purchase. I also save all receipts for anything in connection with my minis. 👍
Epic!!! Total museum piece. It’s got me thinking that at the time it was registered although I liked Minis I would never of dreamed of buying one. Just makes me think what vehicles that are around now will we look back on in a similar way. Anyhoo brilliant car and long may it stay that way.
Stunning car!, it's great to see how original it is.👍
Stunning, so Clean so perfect.
Thanks mate she's certainly a good one!
Unreal lad! Car is proper mint
Amazing condition lovely mini,
Very rare to see such an untouched Mini. I love automatic Minis myself ... they are such a hoot to drive.
Cracking video Alex! What an absolute treasure, Hope the new owner will keep it just how it is, can’t wait to see you’re latest purchase, good on ya mate, Weymo 🤙
It's very special mate and I am super super happy.
Oh what a gem!
Lovely little car .
Great little car Alex I’m not jealous in the least🙁
Take Care Stay Safe Everyone Regards Dave 👍😎🏴
Thanks Dave, it's currently up for sale too
Great stuff Alex. It is absolutely mint ! I reckon it's worth a mint as well ! Thanks .
Cleaner than alot of restored cars
Great walk round thank you. The last MoT on my Mini was 1994 (87k tho!) too. The whole front end has been replaced & I am currently contemplating getting the engine overhauled but, I am way over budget! It is manual & I am waiting for your footage of the clutch modification as I have a problem with my left leg (& arm for that matter). Love the little sports car you have.
It will be coming very soon mate the roads are becoming cleaner!
Lovely, much nicer than a fully restored car imo. That made me laugh @ 17:02 :)
Mine's a 89 and modified, that's impressive 😁👌
a little gem Alex....keeper for sure 👍 I would recommend tire cushions if it's stood for long periods........I'm not sure the speakers are the OEM ones, I seem to remember the cheese wedge (nimbus grey) shape being the spec🤔..
I need to invest in some of those for all 3 of them really during the winter
I bought my Paul Smith from the same dealer in 1999. The dealer was terrible lol, well known for it in the area. Lovely mini though, I probably drove past it more than once when it was with its first owner :)
11:08 Hi Alex, i used to own, in 1990/91 my memory escapes me lol,, G178HJW, a White MG Maestro, it was a EX Rover management car. A lot of Rover employee cars had JW at the end of the number plate. Have you tried looking the lady up? So weird seen such a similar number plate. You must be well chuffed to have such a fabulous piece of untouch history!!
Wow that's interesting! Unfortunately I have since sold this car mate. Haven't mentioned it on youtube yet
@@classicminidetails8887 Cats out the bag now lol
I bought a new fiesta back in the 80s dude and the paint was missing on the seat belt post it was dreadful needless to say it went back .
That’s a beautiful car mate wonderful example 👍
Good job you didn't buy a new Jaguar back then . They were appalling!
Whats that little catch/button on the slam panel next to the sticker you replaced, any ideas?
Ive got a 93 rover and its not there, wondering if thats why my bonnet vibrates
It's for the alarm mate
Fantastic little car. They used to rust in the showroom if there was a draft!
It is really beautiful. But when did they stop using external door hinges?
1970 I think mate. When they started the mk3 body
Great Video pal.
Fantastic example of a genuine mini.
What is the size if your garage...
Hi mate is 5mx5.5m
What’s the little switch for on the slam panel and is the plate on the opposite side of the slam panel for the vin?
It's for the alarm mate
Lovely car mate 👍
MY God, what you doing here Kieth??? lol
@paul robinson I just come on here to abuse Alex every now and again. Checking in on the competition, once he gets rid of this old rust bucket I will have the lowest mileage Auto on RUclipss 😂👍
@@classicminiworkshop Don't matter, no one wants an auto anyway lol. What a great find to look after for future generations of Mini fans
nice mini bro... never drove a automatic classic mini
They are nice for just cruising around in
HI ya . The MOT now look at the age of tyres , i believe . Does the spare being out of date mean an mot fail ? Hope to hear from you ,rgds Don
Not sure if they do mate, I have never had a problem
Great looking Mini, I know you said you just got new tyres but just to let you know Pirelli have re-released the cinturato tyre in 12in.
Oh no way!
@@classicminidetails8887 I hope you kept the old tyres???
I didn't unfortunately mate, they were just too far gone
SP sport tyres for the cooper s?
Very close match to them as you can't buy the sp41 tyres anymore
I have the same car, but manual. It’s showing almost the same mileage, but it’s been round the clock
😂 Just bin the old Mots
@@classicminidetails8887 I was going to use tip-ex 😂😂😂
I’ve commented on here before pal, I worked at Longbridge Rover for 13 years and then at Reg Vardy MG Rover main dealer for 5 years. The front bonnet catch has been painted pal, it would’ve been black when it left the factory, I think you might have to do some research.
Shaun minis with external bonnet releases were painted the same time as the body so will be body colour. Later cars were fitted after the shell was painted.
Another Mini?
Do you never feel like ... ... ... a Hillman Imp, for instance?
I love the hillman imps. So cool
£10,000 to £15,000 At a Classic Car Auction. Possibly More on a Good Day. (Auto box May Hold it back Slightly. )
Maybe £20,000. That is a TRUE GENUINE TIME WARP CAR.
Where Can Anyone Find An ALMOST BRAND NEW MINI ?
Yeah unfortunately the auto box let's it down. However I find them to be really good. Probably because the car is so new. I did have another automatic with 30k on it that was fine! I suppose once they get upto 50/60k then they may become troublesome
Can I have this please? You did ask if we had any questions, so that’s mine😄
🤣
Its rarer than your mk1 I would never sell it
If I ever sell it hmmmmmmmm
👀
Pity you’ve sold it to replace it with another sporting mini. It’s unlikely whoever buys it will treat it like it deserves and look after it. I can see mods and horrible wheels etc in its future. 😞
The logic of why that car exists doesn't make sense, the lady spending all that money to never use the car, I don't get it. Mind at least you have a museum piece now and tbh it couldn't have gone to anyone better cos we all know how meticulous you are with your Minis.
Yeah seems crazy to have just left it 22 years
@@classicminidetails8887 It really does but I'm glad she did as we get to see a perfect car, apart from the paint chips on the NSR bin behind the front seat.
@@graemew7001 that was me that when I first got it 👀 was the caster arm of my chair rubbing it I was gutted
@@classicminidetails8887 Ah right, I was surprised when you didn't mention it, knowing how meticulous you are. To me its just part of the car's history so I'd leave it, its not going to rot and more hassle than its worth to paint it.
Yeah I did think about getting it repaired but then I think given the circumstances how it's been done it keeps the car legit.
