I broke both long thumbnails myself a month ago or so, it will take a while untill they're back to their long length though ^^ But I didn't feel like patching it up, just cut them down to let them grow long and strong again :)

At this point, I think the journey to long natural nails is over. You completed the experiment. The ideal long natural nails require no silk wraps because they do not break. Unfortunately, that’s just not how human nails were made. I think you should start a new challenge: how fast can you get your nails to grow back to a certain length once cut? Using different nail treats, how fast can you get your completely short nails to 1 cm out? 2 cm out? Does it matter how you cut them? Are they as strong? Are they weaker?

Have you thought of doing overlays with builder in a bottle? It would seriously have your nails strong as f so stuff like this won’t happen as easy Also it isn’t bad for your nails, it’s like a bandage over them keeping them strong and healthy to grow underneath

Reason being I saw what they did to a few of my roommates nails in college and I was traumatized 😔😅 plus the removal process seems like a headache that I may not be able to do successfully 😅 never say never, but for now I'd like to perfect my natural nail length game first 💛 We're getting close! ✨ 👩🏽🔬
Hairitage93 your nails are healthy and grow long, really you don’t need overlays, I have been doing them myself for many years, tried so many products, cause at the salons they ruined my nails. Even if you buff as little as possible in order to prep, they will get weaker. Also it’s a lot of work, better to keep them natural and repair as you do. Overlays are for people who want to enhance their nails as they are not happy with how they are. Please don’t ruin your beauties🤗
Gnats don’t bite, those where mosquitos. 1 tea spoon of water and one tablespoon of baking soda. Place over bites until it dries out and becomes just a powder.
I happened to kill one that landed on my forearm that day. Then I googled what it was. The picture on Google, and what I saw on my arm was most definitely a gnat. They do bite, and their bite is way more dramatic looking than a mosquito's bite, despite gnats being so tiny.

I don’t know how you live with that long nails, I admire you. I also have long nails, they are always at least 1cm out from tips of fingers but I keep them at that lenght because I can’t function with them being any longer... they keep getting stuck in everything and since they’re superthick it hurts like hell

Hey nail twin!! Your nails look beautiful and I still have a mosquito hand bite spot on top of my hand from last summer. I used tea tree oil to stop the itching and for antibacterial properties, liquid salicylic acid (dollop) corn remover to get a fresh layer of skin, and then black seed oil with vit c and retinol to even out the color again.
My nails have only grown long like that with the help of dip polish. But of course as soon as I took the polish off my nails were weak and thin from the buffing that they do at the nail shop. I wonder if I should just put a silk wrap on all of my natural nails.
First time I see nails soo long and I love them.For the first time after years of wearing gel on my nails because they are just too thin and break,they start to harden but get the pointers crooked a bit. And the tips crook to i don't know why. So I am back to gel!

The hyponychium grows a little bit longer as your nails grow out, providing you don't have any skin issues, so growing your nails out should extend the nail plate slightly :)
I like my natural nails and all but tbh I prefer tips bc my natural nails always get chipped or ripped especially when you have 3 toddlers and a house to care for

I want to start growing my nails to save money from doing acrylics and I've tried to grow my nails but they just break or they have these little slits that break off and I've tried taking biotin and oiling up my cuticles but nothing seems to work 😔
Try doing your acrylics at home instead, it’s much cheaper and so easy when you get the hang of it. There’s also a bunch of videos on RUclips on how to get such pretty acrylics

I started wearing the fullcover nailtips on my nails and they stopped twisting. I cut the fullcover down to where my nails end as protection

Nope, once the white part of your nail breaks, that's where the white part will start to grow. The pink part doesn't grow.
