But don’t be! You can have these too with time and persistent care! I used to be a nail biter and my nails were disgusting and my nail beds were like a 10 year old boys but I quit and started using different oils and constant filing
My nails broke quite a bit during my journey but after long they started getting stronger
Now my nails beds are like 2 and half sizes bigger than my old ones and they are so pretty now! My nails are long as well and I can experiment with shapes and lengths
But anyways this was to tell you your nails beds WILL grow with time and care
I’ll tell you my current routine to help
Castor oil with salt as my cuticle oil
Make sure to apply it every morning and night or after nail polish removal
Push back your cuticles every night (This helps sooooo much with nail bed growth!!)
And that’s about it
I have a pretty simple routine
And to keep my nails from breaking I always have polish on

@@jasmine_1111 hey there! Thank you, all that was very helpful! I use gel on my nails a lot so they break fairly often, I'll admit I don't use cuticle oil as often as I should. I was also referring to the actual length of her nails, before they grow out? Like her fingertips are long, or the nail starts higher up or something. I don't know how to explain it really, but her nails are long even if they aren't grown out. Not sure if that makes sense 😂

Silk & fiberglass wraps are old stool methods of nail extensions. They don’t really do it salons anymore. It’s really a strong hold on cracked nails. She should do a tutorial on it.
Diva9000x it can also be used as an overlay for natural nails :)

I get side splits every time my nails get long I end up cutting them all off and starting over. How do we prevent them and be repair ?

I saw a tip for repairing a crack/break in a nail. I’ve tried it three times and it really works.
You cut a piece of a teabag to the desired shape and apply glue to the nail, then place the piece of teabag on the nail followed by another coat of glue. You can then apply nail polish and the break is undetectable.
Pamela Rickers What glue? A normal glue stick or ‘school’ liquid glue? Or nail glue? :)
Uhh you touched my Tralala nail glue or ‘super glue’
I'm wondering if you could just use a layer of basecoat over it, then the tea bag piece (before the basecoat dries) and then do the rest of the nail with a layer of basecoat? Nail glue is superglue, right? I use a clear Sally Hanson over the beginning of a tear and it's been holding up for a week now. That's luck.
The teabag never works for and it IS noticeable. I have better success with nail glue only.

May nail growth journey was going wonderful until they reached certain length my girls decided to become paper like and broke one after the other in the most painful ways. I've noticed this happens a lot with my nails, when they get to a certain point they decide to become paperlike and brake in every possible and painful way. Mine do this too. I just try to moisturize my free edge and tips of my nails more. I think they get more dry because they are farthest away from the cuticle. Kind of like the ends of hair get drier quicker because they are far from the cuticle as well. I don't have any other solutions though. The stuggle😢

Hi Jovelette, I get this question a lot more now that my nails were seen growing much longer during this growing season. And I understand people wanting answers,
but that's when I simply have to redirect it to my active nail care efforts, instead of the passive nutrients I receive (that naturally get distributed throughout my entire body, not just my nails). What I've personally had to learn was that I can feed my body foods anywhere in the spectrum, but my nails also need to be directly fed good nail routines and awesome nail treats ✨
Or else 🙃 the Girls would be looking as shamblish now as they did in 2016 + 2017, a time when I wasn't doing regular routines like I should have, or using dedicated oils, *but* I was eating the same normal, shnormal diet that I have now.
My nails flourished to new lengths once I started doing my nail care routines more consistently, and excelled even further more recently when I started using my dedicated nail care treats in conjunction with my nail care routines,
and respectfully ✨ that is my final answer 💛

Abbey Warren it’s probably because your nails are fake ... ik some people like to cut them all but when your nails are real they’re like an extension of you. and when it took you 4+ month to grow them it’s hard to throw all that away for just one or two nails.

You got very beautiful fingers,hands,nails.perfect nail bed,perfect C curve.....if I would live near buy and you would be willing to get some artificial nails I would be more than happy to have you as hand,nail model...On other hand,if you want just want to strengthen,correct bit Brocken nails I would suggest to the use of fibres and soak off gels,gel polishes..I would say you’re one of those persons who don’t need nail tips,forms to make nails long..just gel polishes to make them more hard,resistant,elastic and adding designs.I personally can grow very long natural nails too,I just don’t have perfect C curve and I don’t like natural nail yellowness,simple nail polishes drive me crazy,drying takes so long and then it’s disaster in next or same day.I just love gels,gel polishes a lot,cos they dry fast and stay put forever until I take it off,and also I happen to like artificial material shine,looks..just personal fetishes and I guess I’m just soo used to gels,more than 15 years using those. How do you stop biting your nails 🙄
I've heard painting them really helps you to stop biting them, because having nail polish chips in your mouth is nasty af so it's a deterrent that way. I know a guy who stopped biting his nails by putting just a clear coat on, so it doesn't have to colored if you have a dress code or something
I would go and get acrylic done to stop me.. but I did them for 20 years which cost me heaps. I’m now trying to grow during lockdown and started with Revitanail stop bite and protect (really yucky). And am watching every video I can for motivation.

It's not the products that grow your long nails, it's your genes that grow them... And many people do not have these nail genes to grow nails this long and hard No matter what they do.. I could live on this Earth for 100 years and my nails will never grow like that.... Consider yourself lucky with good nail genes just like some people get good hair genes.... So whatever products they're advertising here doesn't matter, Gotta be in your body to begin with
That's actually not entirely true at all. I mean yeah being healthy and having good genes might help some with growing long nails. But the main thing that really does it is having a base layer over your nails because it acts as a hardening protectant. Otherwise almost everyone's nails are brittle and breakable. This is why you see most people without natural long nails. It's because they don't use products to protect their nails. Take some vitamins, take care of your cuticles, use oils and moisturizer and get the base products. Your nails will grow.
