It was definitely not the best all-time match, but it was still a great match and one of the most significant. Nadal was going into that match with a 105-2 record and had only lost once when he was in good form up to that point(2009 to Soderling). In 2015, Nadal was a shadow of himself, so I don't put much weight on that loss. Most people, myself included, saw Nadal getting #21 a foregone conclusion; especially after what we saw in RG 20 final. To add to that, Djokovic was 1-7 vs Nadal at the French and the head to head was about even. Coming back vs the King of Clay in his house after starting the match down 0-5 was a very great effort. The third set was one of the best sets, featuring multiple breaks, both fighting off break points and set points, capped by a tiebreaker. This match, along with Wimby 19, may be looked at for a long time as being the deciding factors as to who will end the best of the open era; especially when you consider that the French is the only slam which Nadal has the advantage in vs Novak at the moment. Seeing the king of clay crumble in that final set was one of the greatest things to happen in tennis. It finally gave the Spaniard an understanding as to how Federer felt when he lost in his haven in that 2008 Wimbledon final.

"The toughest surface". It's more grindy and physical, not "tougher". One could just as well say hard courts are tougher because they're less forgiving of errors in shot selection or strategical ball placement. In the end, there's no 'tougher' surface, they each present their own set of difficulties and advantages, only someone's who's overly eager to gain argument points for his favorite player would try to claim a surface as "tougher" when it's obviously completely dumb.

@@tvtotalforever In the first 3 set, both players was at their top level, whereas in 2005, 2006 and 2007, the level slumped at some point (for example the first 2 set was 6-1 1-6)

Whether Nadal wins a match or loses a match, his opponent had better not let their guard down,. Nadal will fight to the VERY end of the VERY last point. I did not watch this match, until these highlights, and now we all can see why Nadal has won 20 Grand Slam titles. Nadal Is My Champion!

A great moment of sport and perhaps the most significant win of Rafa in RG...

I am pretty sure there was a point early in third set where umpire called a clear out ball in and the made Djokovic upset for a while, hence the result of third set 6-1. Should have put that at highlights.
Also I remember Djokovic actually saved the BP after falling to the net, but he got broken at next or second break point after that incident. Highlights give the impression like he was broken immediately. I am not sure about this though as I always thought Djokovic had game point at that point but I see it was actually deuce now.

Regarding the game with the net mistake, they actually did explain. At 28:50, they wrote "trois points plus tard, Nadal revient à 4-4" which basically means "3 points later, Nadal comes back at 4-4"
Just keep in mind this is technically a french channel:p
