"My husband goes every night to the restaurant...in my kitchen" Love it! Thank you Grandma
What a wise woman. She carries herself with such dignity!!!
From a British Nana , you are so right Dina . It astonishes me how few people know how to cook now , and the food that people waste is shocking .
The irony of a Brit telling us we can't cook. I agree with you tho.
Nothing like a wise woman. Appreciate her time. It's great that she shared her points of view
She had me at "My kitchen is always a mess..." 😅
I love how real she is.
I so agree with her. People say they have no money..no wonder! They waste it on nonsense such as uber eats and cafes.
And when I tell them this, they get mad at me. Like the government isn't some savior that can fix your bad spending habits.😂😂🤦🤦😭😭
I think only single people in their 20s do that. Im 35 btw. This was LA living 10 years ago …. not anymore!
i had a jewish mother and she was very wise also i was so blessed i miss her
My Italian grandmother and mother said the same thing! All of these yuppies spend all of this money on expensive designer kitchens and then never use them. In the meantime, the best cooks who never eat out tend to have smaller, older kitchens that work just as perfectly well. I also start washing, scrubbing, and cutting up fruits and vegetables as soon as I get home from the market. I keep snacks ready in containers in the fridge, so there is no need to even want to eat junk food or fast food.
MY tip: - have a very easy meal ready to go on your big supermarket shopping day. Earlier that morning, put some meat, veg, potatoes in a crock pot. That way, I don't have to worry about dinner and still have time get plenty of healthy food prepped for the week.
I love elders. They have so much to share with us.
Not all of them.
I love hearing Bubbe Dina. She's so entertaining; I can literally listen to her all day.
Just don't order out after listening tonher all day. 😂
I always make a point of greeting the elderly out walking. It might be the only words they speak to a person that day!
I say hello and smile. I'll even stop and talk.
I am old…not desperate, I don’t need to be patronized because I have lived a long time…you don’t want me to judge me…return the favor.
I do the same too 😊
Very Wise
@@virginialangford6257 I grew up very shy and it was only by developing the habit of smiling and greeting that I became more confident. I just convey a friendly voice and face, not a patronising one. Over time many of these contacts have become friends.
Grandma Dina, I could hear you speak for hours and enjoy every minute. ❤
Thank you so much Living Lchaim and Grandma Dina on this podcast. May you always be able to give over your tips and the way you see things in your special way!
Grandma Dina has a voice we all love and enjoy listening to for ages!! She goes to the point and she is totally right always!!
I love Grandma Dina, she is fantastic! Thank you for bringing her back on.
I wish I had a Jewish grandma. ❤😊
She lets people adopt her!
@@LivingLchaim Can I ? Even if I'm Muslim? I never got to know my grand-parents- and she looks a lot like one of my nana- so I'd be more than happy to adopt her! It's a crazy world, a grandmother by blood or by heart always does so much good 💖
I miss mine. Wish I cherished my time with them more while they were here.
@@amandabricot Yup!!
@@LivingLchaim Knowing grandmother(s) who went through the Great Depression is more than sufficient regardless of religion. Sure I initially found it weird as a kid, us living in a land of plenty for many of the past couple decades, that my grandmother (ultimately passed 2006, age 91) would get so many freebies from some place called the Armory. While she definitely wasn't broke, she thankfully made sure she would never be. While my dad (her son) also taught me those lessons to work hard, never let anyone hear you complain about it, and in most cases you should be too busy working to spend the money. Especially on silly things like a second house/etc.
I love this woman! Cook at home! She looks so nice and pulled together, but she is obviously also a hard-worker. Shalom!
From a Catholic, I couldnt agree more with her comments here and plain basic common sense, thats Jusaism, also reading the Tenak or old Testament again as one gets older is great. Best to her and may Hashem protect Israel. Love from Australia, a great grandmother I am now.
Judaism
God bless you
❤
@@Jenifer_Gclearly it was a typo…
She is kind of person extracting value (material and spiritual) out of simple life and everydays activity.
Love you bubby Dinah! Be well and thanks so much for your excellent advice and tips.
Grandma Dina is so funny and sassy! $800 for a faucet? I could buy a house for that!
I love her! I could listen all day.
I wish I could find a woman like her not just worried about my wallet and shopping
Grandma Dina is the best !!!
She’s amazing and I love her outlook such a blessing to this world to share ❤
I'm a Catholic grandma and I agree with you on all of this 100%.
So many in these younger generations are determined to learn these same lessons the hard way. Their excuse is always "but things are different now". Maybe, but money isn't any different and how you use it hasn't changed.
This is a fact. As a young person I never understood why people waste money on useless things. Like people complain about having no money yet they buy alcohol, and things to smoke (like vapes) all of the time. Or they buy expensive iPhones with $100 a month payments. I got a brand new android 1+ for less than $100 , and I originally had a phone plan of $20 a month. And if you pay your bills in advance you typically can get a discount, so I don't understand the mentality of these other young people. As a teenager I bought my 1st car in 2019 for $1,500 cash, because I despise car notes. That car was in very good shape. Not to mention how many subscriptions these people pay a month, just for entertainment or Amazon. In 2020/2021/2022 I was able to pay all of my bills while only making $9 an hour in Dallas TX, even with bad credit and living by myself. It's literally not hard. And I wasn't living off of ramen noodles either.😂😂
One truth bomb after another. And she's right about contemporary kitchens, which resemble laboratories.
Thank you Grandma Dina, I thoroughly agree with you about the phones and how relationships are the most important and everything else you said. Greetings from Lisa, Tasmania, Australia.
Common sense is a super power. Thank you Ma'am.
It is helpful and comforting to listen to you thank you.
Thank u from South African granny. Love ur wisdom. I really hate eating out. Glad i know u think the same❤
Dina is THE best! I ❤ her 😊
Catholic here, loving Grandma Dina, I could sit here for hours listening to her and never tire! 😁We recently elected our first woman president here in Mexico, Mrs. Claudia Sheinbaum, who happens to be Jewish, but no offense to her, but Mrs. Sheinbaum should let Grandma Dina commence her presidential term this October 1st.😂😉May Hashem keep blessing Grandma Dina, her family and you Living Lchaim with good health, wit and humor. Thank you for sharing, subbed, 👍and greetings 👋from Querétaro, Mexico. 🤠
She melted my heart❤
I dont have a grandma so is super nice hear her❤
H' bless her.
And for sure we NEED more from her❤
It would be a dream to have a grandma Dina in our lives, I hope I one day get to meet this amazing woman. Watching her gives me a sense of peace and comfort. Please post a weekly Dina Advice Pod ❤
Without my Jewish grandma of blessed memory, I feel so lost.
She's gone since September 2020.
I miss her everyday.
My paternal grandparents were Jewish and my maternal grandparents were Catholic.
My grandma was one of the main reasons for me to do the giyur in our community and now, nothing makes sense anymore.
Ahhhhh!!!! I feel your pain.. If you close your eyes and think of her you will feel her hugs.... Try......
I agree! I am trying to stop going out to eat this year. There is absolutely no reason for me to make them at home! I just need to stop being lazy. Thank you grandma. ❤
Jewish people have a strong will power. They rarely feel dejected and give up on their dreams. If they fail once they try again or try something new and succeed. So I am not surprised that this grandma is so wise and full of life.
Give her her own show please. I will subscribe.
This is Wisdom 👍🏾👍🏾⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯‼️
Love Bubbie Dina. Much Mazel. 😊
Absolutely love her, May The LORD Jesus Christ Bless her & Keep her xx
Grandma Dina, I agree with you and appreciate you!! You speak my heart! (Loved the 2 earring story.) Keep sharing!
I really enjoy your channel. Thank you for sharing your content
Love you Grandma Dina! Although not Jewish, your common sense wisdom and warmth reminds me so much of my late mum - to whom, unfortunately I never listened when I was young! And Am Isreal Chai! I love your beautiful Jewish traditions and I will always be a friend and ally.
I love this woman! So smart! God bless!
HI DINA I'M so glad that I found your podcast your very nice and interesting? I'm catholic but grew up with a Jewish family from across the street, do you realize that we are still friends like family after 60 years! PAULA fox would say all the time "If you can read you can cook"! I was listening to you and I was waiting for you to say that... Anyways, keep it up you bring back alot of childhood memories thank you Jack/Boston
I love Israel and the Jewish people ❤ I always pray for them and sometimes with them .
😂😂😂
She is so beautiful
So wise and sweet! Young people must listen what they have to say, we're so lucky they're still around to pass on some knowledge and share their sincere thoughts.
she's spot on about home cooking, it has so many advantages to no real disadvantages
I love grandma Dina, grandma I aspire to be like you when I get older ❤ thank you for sharing your wisdom and story. Not a Jewish but love learning and listening to this channel.
I Absolutely adore this Lady.
I love ❤️ this lady’s accent 😊😊
I’m not Jewish but I completely understand what she’s talking about with the kitchen 😅 how do they keep it so clean, after I mop and clean I discover oil somewhere.
Thank you Grandma Dina!
Happy 4th of July, America. Happy Independence.
Thank you for the video. Dina has so much to teach us.
I agree with this Grandma. We should have home cooked foods to save money. God bless you all!
What a wonderful lady! She seems life in a very simple, uncomplicated way. I agree with her.
This is the sweetest!!! I just love it
Love grandma Diana. ❤Very warm and so relatable. She cheers me up, just like the first street interview you did with her. She's a gem. G-d bless from Singapore. May grandma Dina and family continue be blessed.
Thank you grandma Dina watching you from the Philippines ❤
Love you Dina, best regards from Israel💝🇮🇱
Grandma Dina is the best!!! Hugs from Peru.
I just redid my kitchen and I like making it look sterile at the end of the day. However, during the day I cook and bake up a storm. I don't buy takeout or eat at restaurants.
I loved this video. Thank you for your great advise! And for sharing your wonderful attitude!
She is just absolutely Adorable 🫶🏾🥰😘
Hi I enjoyed your podcast. Makes me think of my Jewish Mother in Law. God rest her soul.
AWE I LOVE GRANDMA DINA YOUR A WEALTH OF WISDOM. MAY YESHUA BLESS YOU!!!!
I m always telling that by eating at home-you can buy organic food , I’m trying to save money by eating fresh food , doing my own manicure, pedicure, ironing, doing my own laundry.Sad- that people don’t understand how much effort it takes to from you.
It takes effort I just won't let go manicure/pedicure
Really adorable grandma, thanks for the advice ❤️
She is the best!
Thank you so much for this podcast 🙂 I was hoping that you will interview grandma Dina again. I only disagree with her on one thing, I think boys also need to learn how to cook. Men and women most of the time both work full time, so the man also needs to be able to take care of cooking etc.
Family is the most important thing in the world! You are so correct on so many points. I tell my husband all the time that it is a throw away society.
The “bye bye birdie” song 🎶 at the end had me rolling 😂 I love that movie and song! 😊
I wish she was my grandmother.
Love this lady!!!
i Love her. I will look for her podcast.
Amazing video.Hello from Dublin Ireland 🇮🇪
Love from Antibes & Juan-les-Pins 🇫🇷
Such a beautiful person ❤❤❤
LOVE ❤️ THIS LADY.
So use your kitchen! I agree with grandma! You remind me of my own grandma.
Absolutely agree with her.
I just love your channel, thank you for sharing your wisdom. Just love you.

Much love from Ireland Dina Xxx
I LOVE HER!
She is such an interesting character. I could spend the day talking and learning from her. We should listen more often to older people.
Priceless wisdom. I’m absolutely obsessed! ❤
My late mother used to say she was helping the old people.
Who were younger than herself.
Love the grandma and her advice. Love to adopt her and share her..I miss my bubbie ah who was killed by a car when I was only 11 years old.
Everyone needs a bubbie.
Thank you I learned so much.
Love your video. You are a wise lady
I’ve been waiting for a wise Jewish Grandma channel!
Thank you and thank you to your Grandma. You need to learn how to do everything yourself, instead of calling someone to repair it or buying new stuff because nowadays it is too expensive, even if it is just making your coffee, breakfast or fixing your faucet.
I loved this!!
