My Grandmother, my Mother and I all have lipedema and I fear my daughter has it. As my Grandmother was passing in the hospital, my mother would wipe her legs down, as they were ozeing fluids. Later my Mother passed away from lymphoma cancer. And recently, I was diagnosed with lipedema, on top of being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis about 20 years ago. Since lipedema runs in my family, it is considered primary lipedema. When lymph nodes are removed, as from breast cancer, it is considered secondary lipedema. I'm trying to learn everything I can about this disease, and videos like this, have given valuable information to so many people! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this I was very intrigued and happy to see their support out there I have Parkinson’s disease and I’m getting worse every day in the lymphedema just makes me so discouraged I just feel like sometimes it’s not worth the fight. That being said I have two beautiful granddaughters who I see every day who love me very much and I will plan to be around for them as long as I can thank you for your kind words and support
I'm here for my partner of 16 years but she has lypedema but also she is an excessive eater. It's impossible for me to broach it but she also has diabetes in her direct history. I can't speak, as her partner, she locks me down, it's stressful. I don't wan't her to suffer - but I'm also a heavy drinker. I'm being honest. But I'm Irish. It doesnt' really manifest - yet - and I'm working on it. People are complex. It's hard. Good luck to one and to all. x
I lost 75 pounds on the keto diet and I felt wonderful. I have this condition and dercums. It look a year but if you don't have fat then it doesn't hurt. I also took a ton of supplements.
I'm not sure if you can reverse this condition but I'm currently on a weightloss journey and I am losing weight and see a reduction in pain and inflammation. I know the lipedema fat will not go away but I feel like I can stop it from getting worse and I'm also reaching out to a specialist to discuss treatment options that could work for me. Good luck on your journey. Help is out there and it can get better.
Thank you for this video. It’s just managed to pull me out of a really down moment about my body. X

Could a lowcarb or ketogenic diet help reverse the condition?

Why is it hot water?
Hot water and lemon juice does nothing to you
It’s not lipedema. It’s lymphedema. You may want to check spelling before you publish. Thank you.
two separate disorders. Lymphedema : disorder of lymph system and lipedema connective tissue and fat metabolism disorder
Lol. Are you joking? Please research before you publish your statements. Lol
How embarrassing for you trying to correct something and being very wrong about your correction lol
I have lipedema ! It’s two very different diseases and very painful ! Do some research before you say anything against people living with that disease
This was not helpful at all.
