Im starting to be a fan of Montech, they have some good designs and they learn from previous projects and we can see the improvements in each new release, not many companies do that now a days.
I emailed Montech and they said the fans for this case (model AX120 and RX120, RX for reverse) will be available on the market at the end of February or beginning of March 2023. They didn't "or the beginning of March" but maybe it'll take a bit for retailers to get the fans on their websites.
Great review, just change my (next month) first PC build from the Evo to this case. The cost savings first of all, but the blue is killer. What do you think of all fans set to intake with the rear being to only exhaust? I found the Newegg has the Montech reverse fans for under $12 US. I was going to load up all 7 location and with the one exhaust. Since I am not a gamer and some 3D rendering and wireframe modeling plus multitasking, and streaming music (or YT) would be the biggest load I would ever see.
Montech has quite an array of cases, and now they have quite the quality case to showcase to the world. As for the fan problem, montech has already noticed the issue and has planned out fixes to the people they sent the product to. Its the best they can do currently, but the case hasnt officially released globally so they have time to fix their logistics and some quality problems.
I have this case but the cable from the power button does not fit on my Gigabyte Aorus Z790 elite AX board, so it looks like I'll have to use the other case I bought instead
MONTECH is Taiwan's technology company, I have visited the headquarters, it is very good. I believe it can design better case and related products in the future.
looks nice, you forget to mention when using button fans it bloks a pcie slot ? would be niceer just a little higher case to fix that . plus the quality control you said makes it a fail case for me . but it looks realy nice . xD
They don’t block it entirely though. If you have something without a heatsink (NIC, SATA controller …) it should work fine. But yeah, quality control seems like an ongoing issue
Any ideas why my sky two has GREY blades in the two inverted fans instead of BLACK? The black ones are only in the one mounted on the back. In every review I looked at, they were black everywhere.... This changes the look a bit....
the 3 fans that "seem" to enter (2 on the side and 1 below) have the frame outside so the air comes out instead of entering or am I wrong? since the rear fan has the frame outside so it blows out air
I got this case recently from my local microcenter - and while I like the looks/the accessibility I also have the issue with the fan hub and the fans running at max speed. Montech needs to fix this asap! There is a reddit post I found and they recently said they will fix it... but this should have been properly tested/fixed before it hit the shelves. Other youtube reviews also mention the issue
Fan in the bottom may look cool but make no sense. Since both sides are mesh it simply push from one to another. Feeding to the top of PSU is correct, lianli also do this.
Any case that has psu at the bottom is a waste of money. GPUs need at least 2x140mm fans with clear path. CPU should get INTAKE from the back and top and spit it from the front and top. Otherwise it breaths GPU exhaust. Thermal basics (air should enter as cool as possible in the cooler) that almost no manufacturer or reviewer seem to understand. So sad. Just so sad.
It absolutely depends on the GPU. Blower cards will blow their hot air out in the back. And so do many others. + most people have their PC tucked against a wall. That’s why you generally do not use the back one as intake. You’re right on the GPU hot air inside the case. That’s a problem in general which will not be solved until they are build differently. But as of now this is the best layout we can work with.
@@STSYT But the back of the case has also cables, which keep it away from wall. Intake will work fine and ensure CPU gets ambient directly not GPU mixed with general case temp+ambient.

Plus their customer service is 🔥 super nice when I bought a case from them a while ago
that cooler is really neat. Thanks for this review. I agree that color is beautiful

Makes sense, they are also already featured on Montech's site: www.montechpc.com/en/products_item.php?cid2=9
the fans are spinning max rpm because the white connector on the controller needs a fan connected to it. that is the master connection
Great video STS gonna buy this case because it’s effectively all I need
How'd you get a hold of them extra fan!!! Grrrrrr!!! Sick!!! How many intake and exhaust fans you got?? I really like your set up!!

Okay but where did you get all the fans in the case? I can't find them for sale anywhere
Right now, only on their Website: www.montechpc.com/en/products_item.php?cid2=9
It may take another month before they officially launch in stores

I just bought this case. Is there anyway to buy additional fans that match these. I

Great video! Just a question, can i use the fans in static color mode or just RGB mode? Thanks!

looks awesome - like the design 👌🏼
I can't find this case for sale anywhere in Canada.
I love this case❤

Ok I'll answer myself, because I already know. The blue/green version has it that way :) Black version has all the blades black :D
Parabéns pelo review, muito bom!
how to control the rgb fans on the case? is there any software to do it?
i know there's a button but the modes are very limited
the 3 fans that "seem" to enter (2 on the side and 1 below) have the frame outside so the air comes out instead of entering or am I wrong? since the rear fan has the frame outside so it blows out air
They are reverse fans so you can see the rgb instead of the ugly side of the fan

That's a hot looking case.
Why isn't the white conector in use?
White connector?

Will this case fit an MSI 3090 ti suprim x? (338mmx140mm) without a side mounted radiator.
Very easy
my montech sky two argb fan controller is defective . fans runs at full speed all the time ..
when is montech sky 3?
don't know, but knowing Montech, we won't be waiting too long

Aesthetically it's a nice case, not the coolest in terms of temperature, tends to get a bit dusty over time,
