Wonderfully told Lenny, I think those of us who have lived thorough this experience will never forget those days of struggling to be recognised as people who contributed to a country who did its very best to Rob us of our history and culture . So proud of our parents and grandparents who made the journey.🇯🇲 🇹🇹 🇧🇧 🇦🇬 🇰🇳 🇬🇩 🇱🇨 ❤❤❤ well done, Sir Lenny Henry.

I'm not British or Jamaican, but I am African American! I feel this story just as much as I feel my own! It actually mirrors the story of African Americans migrating from the American south to the American north. ANY STORY about Black people and our histories( no matter what country they are, I AM ALWAYS HERE FOR IT ❤

Just watched the entire series, I’ve never cried so much out of joy and hope for the characters. It’s the first drama series I’ve watched in years that made me want to read up about this part of history. Though I’m African I truly enjoyed this and reminded me of some of the things my parents went through when they came over in the 90s. Well done cast and crew. More please…

    🐥🐤🐣
Sir Lenny has created a true masterpiece with this incredibly- produced, nostalgic and very atmospheric series...Three Little Birds!
    🐣🐤🐥
The three main characters are just stunning and pure class with their acting skills, their beauty and their incredibly authentic performances. All beautifully finished, with those wonderfully warm, animated and often comical Jamaican accents!
    ❤🤍💙❤🤍
The whole casting of actors, wardrobe, makeup and crew was nothing short of superb.
    ❤🤍💙❤🤍
The whole series took me on a believable and realistic journey that sparked up so much nostalgia and so many memories and similarities to my own parent's experience of coming to the UK, from abroad in Europe, in the late 1950's too.
    ❤🤍💙❤🤍
I congratulate the Three Little Bird's main characters and indeed, all of the cast and crew, of this very watchable, very entertaining, very emotive, and very humorous journey, shared with us, that guarantees some raw, roller coaster emotions and some warm and fuzzy moments thrown in too. All gloriously set to a backdrop of some well-chosen, nostalgic music from that life- changing era, all beautifully dressed up in very glamourous and authentic costume.
    ❤🤍💙❤🤍
I absolutely loved this series. I couldn't get enough of it! I couldn't wait to watch the whole series on normal TV, so I binge- watched on ITV X, even though the excessive adverts were a nightmare, I could at least fast forward them!😂
    ❤🤍💙❤🤍
So, in conclusion, I am sending many many heartfelt thanks and the warmest Congratulations to our very own, and much- loved, gifted and talented 'National Treasure', Sir Lenny Henry, for producing such a fine masterpiece and work of art!
    ❤🤍💙❤🤍
My next question? .. ..... .Please Sir..... when can I have some more????
    😭🤲🙏
    AMAZING

Very good idea by Sir LH, that he's used his platform to depict the Windrush migration from the pov of the Caribbean immigrants.
However, the UK Caribbean community did Not all arrive from Jamaica. The women also were not all glamorous. In fact, I was told it was mostly the poorer ones who wanted or felt the need to take up the offer.
Perhaps there should be one dark skinned main female actor of average height. Also, the likelihood of any gay relationships among the Windrush immigrants is too remote to mention.
I haven't seen the series yet, but the idea of it alone should be mandatory study for UK school History curriculum.

One minute they are asking to be treated the same as everyone else, the next it is important to them to be set apart.
Lenny has had a great career and a privileged life, he owes this country a great deal, it would be decent of him to acknowledge that.

I think you'll find it's us that owes Sir Lenny Henry!! He's done colossal amounts for young black talent in this country by trail blazing a path of hope and opportunity for talented artists to come forward and be recognised for their craft in the Black community and to be seen and heard within the entertainment and music industry. Many artists owe him a debt of gratitude and will openly say that. He's one of the main founders of the very successful Comic Relief charity and has been responsible for raising over ONE BILLION ££££'s over the years! So, if I may suggest you do your research before opening your mouth and spouting garbage about what Sir Lenny Henry owes US!! Shame on you!

A bit confused. Lenny drama about racial abuse. I grew up in that era. Nothing to do with colour or creed. Born in England in a poor area. We, ( females, had to go through exactly the same life.) Not pleasant at all. 🤷‍♀️
