Taj ATE this up. I'm pleasantly surprised because most of their records, and live performances you don't hear Taj ever singing lead. It's so sad that the producers played on her insecurities by always pushing Coko to the front when they all had great voices. If they had nurtured her voice she could actually have been a great mezzo-soprano.

TAJ did so well on the lead here. One of my fav songs. Listening and understanding the lyrics more as an adult makes this song even more dope. They were teaching women how to be more selfless in relationships 👌🏾🔥✨

A lot of people don't know that Taj and Lelee can sing because Coko always sung all the leads. If SWV do another album, I hope they take turns singing lead. Taj and Lelee should have their moment to shine too.
Okay I'll do that. I am a huge SWV fan even though they are way before my time. When I was born, SWV was still in their prime. I was born in 93.
Joshua McDowell so true. It wasn't until the second album & the other albums after that where Taj & lelee started singing lead. They both have nice voices. Here's a little unknown fact ( I'm not sure which song it was that lelee sang lead on the first album. But after hearing herself; she was a little uncomfortable with her vocals so that's why coko was the only one we heard on the first album.
Yes, she sang lead on two of songs on the first cd but then had both cut as she wasn’t comfortable
They have shared the vocals more on the last two independent studio albums.
Le le sang on a few songs on this album and those are my fav. She's the original 1st soprano on the 1st album. She hit the whistle note in Downtown and she taught coco how to take her place up there when her voice lowered.

I was an extra in this video... it was made in Tampa at MOSI... I'm one of the girls dancing in the background and whose feet walked across in the end 3:02... they paid me $350 that day... and I hated this song for years because they played it a million times over and over to make this video... but I'm glad for the experience... 1996...
