- "More To Lose" is a single by British new wave group Seona Dancing, released in 1983. It is an uptempo new wave pop song, sung by a then-unknown Ricky Gervais, who was the lyricist and vocalist of the band. Macrae was the band's composer and keyboard player. The song remains virtually unknown in their homeland of the UK, after only peaking at No. 117 on the UK Singles Chart, but found tremendous success in the Philippines in 1985, a year after the band broke up.

Ricky Gervais, lead singer of Seona Dancing is well-known as a comedian and while he is never as popular as Michael Jackson, Madonna, George Michael (singer of Wham!) etc. I never judge the quality of pop stars. To this day, there are lots of British new wave / synth-pop bands, like Depeche Mode, the Cure, New Order / Joy Division, the Smiths, Echo & the Bunnymen, the Police and the Pet Shop Boys are my least liked artists of all time. Their song "More to Lose" is ultimately popular in the Philippines that gained popularity. And this is why Filipinos are appealing to this kind of music in any decades that I don't really care about it anymore. But everyone wasn't a fan of Ricky because he is a "failed pop star", and all of us don't watch sitcoms nowadays. That was my opinion, I know...

I never knew that Ricky gervais was the voice behind of this new wave song that we liked!only now December 08,2019,that I discovered this fact on listsverse.
I wish Ricky would recognize the awesomeness of his and McRae's songs and officially re-released them...and perhaps created some new ones.

This must be the greatest song on Rejection ever written. It hits so hard and true. A perfect microcosm of my first love, who also rejected my love and whose scars I still carry to this day.
