Kenny's stories are always the best. Looking forward to someday Otis interviewing Marty Stewart and asking "what's it like working with Kenny Vaughan?" Lol.
KV is another American badass! 🇺🇸 He’s made music with so many legendary musicians it’s incredible. Bolin included. Always a great interview with Kenny. Thanks Otis Badass Gibbs. 👍
That night was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. I remember watching Joe walk out and seeing him say something to Kenny and he started laughing. Now I know the rest of the story. Thanks Otis!
Kenny Vaughan is so wonderful cool, been everywhere twice and knows everyone. Listening to him talking about the inside world is so good. Long May he run.
I always click the like 👍 deal when I start an Otis vid, but whenever I see Kenny Vaughn I wish there was an option to hit it twice 🤠 Great stuff per usual. ... Thanks much to all involved 🙏👍 .... 👍
I was there that night at the Ryman. Great show! Lived in Boulder around the time Kenny was relating. Actually bought one of Joe’s old ‘67 Telecasters he traded in at a music store on “The Hill” in Boulder. Still have it!
My Silverado does seventy five....they drilled my gas tank and now I can't drive....I demo houses, I tear out the walls....I'm on the top rung I hope I don't fall...no wonder I'm still working after all I've been through, life's been hard on me so far.......
I got to meet Kenny Passarelli who played in Barnstorm with Joe Walsh. Ill bet Kenny knows him and he would have a bunch of good stories if you could get him. He co wrote Rocky Mountain Way, played with Hall & Oates, etc. Met him at a corporate gig he helped Kenny Loggins with.
Kenny's talks are the best...and he's definitely a guitar MF! One of the best shows I've seen was a 4 band bill at Cessna Stadium in Witchita, '74. Leon Russell closed with that huge Leon Live act and was amazing, but Joe Walsh was red hot on the heels of Rocky Mountain Way. He worked a wah-wah wearing red, python skin 6 inch platforms that went high-high...while playing a**-kicking slide on that Les Paul burst. By the time we got back to CA, I had nearly regained my hearing.
I'd like to hear about Tommy Bolin I love Kenny Vaughn. He's played with Everyone. I remember him on TV, Austin city limits and David Letterman playing with a bunch of different people in different times and he looks like a kid!

I was on stage that night and saw Joe’s gear. His guitars (Fender Eric Clapton Strat, PRS SE, Gibson Les Paul) were plugged into a Wampler Triumph, Donner Octave pedal, an MXR Exhoplex Delay and a Boss Harmonist. Then into a new Vox AC15. He did use a Helix Talk Box for Rocky Mountain Way.
Saw Joe play second on the bill (opener was Jesse Colin Young) at Day on the Green 1974 headliner C,S,N,&Y. Awesome band (Elton John stole his bassist) drummer Joe Vitale each song blended into the next like one stream of energy...roaring stadium called for encore after he closed with "Rocky Mountain Way" encore was "Get Back" which has been covered by everybody but no one could touch what Joe and his band did with that.....whole stadium was ROCKING. Later lucky enough to see him debut with the Eagles outdoors again in Sacramento for a "No Nukes" benefit might have been their first live show with Joe (before Hotel California came out). James Gang live (don't be fooled by the 4 horses it's just Joe and the other 2) STILL one of the 4-5 best live single discs ever.
my Sisters early bo in the 80's Bob Moes? later helped me in BHSC Spearfish,SD. 1974 attended conceerts there. got me on student union board and intertainment committee, so we met intertainmets i share on fb. He taught me sum on guitar after '68 and JG music was loud in home. said he had jammed with Joe back in hometown i thought. we drove school bus till easter blizard blew me off road rall over. i think he English Professor.
I love all of your guests - but Kenny is my most fave. Hey Kenny and Otis - let me know when you are on the left coast, we need to hang, I also have stories after booking clubs for 30+ years
Joe comes from that time period in which there weren't many pedals and your amps and guitar tone controls were your primary resource. Your fingers learn how to overcome certain limitations in that environment.
Kenny is a motherfucker when it comes to pure talent and I say that with mass respect. I finally had the opportunity to see Kenny and Marty play live here in Seattle this last year with the fabulous superlatives. (Amazing show) Great interview once again thank you Otis been a while since I’ve been here I’ll try to get back here more often😎
Kenny's stories are always the best. Looking forward to someday Otis interviewing Marty Stewart and asking "what's it like working with Kenny Vaughan?" Lol.
I agree
Kenny is so honest, and he has such a great way of telling stories. He'll always be one of my top favorite guests on here.
KV is another American badass! 🇺🇸

Always a great interview with Kenny.
Thanks Otis Badass Gibbs. 👍
I love the way Kenny says, "He was really good, man". The ultimate complement
Kenny ain't no slouch either
I will never tire of Kenny's laugh.
That night was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. I remember watching Joe walk out and seeing him say something to Kenny and he started laughing. Now I know the rest of the story. Thanks Otis!
Kenny, Marty and their band are siimply Incredible.
They really are.
These interviews are a treasure, well done Otis ☮
Kenny Vaughan is so wonderful cool, been everywhere twice and knows everyone. Listening to him talking about the inside world is so good. Long May he run.

KENNY! Just saw you and Marty & the Superlatives in Edmonds WA: EL SUPREMO!!!
Badasses like Joe and Kenny don’t need boutique stuff. They just kill with a string on a broomstick.
Dropping more Kenny Vaughan knowledge. Thank you.

Beautiful! An Ode To The Common Guy.
Ran into Kenny at Roberts years ago. Nice guy and drinking a cup of coffee.
Love Kenny's stories. Thanks for the video, Otis.
Awesome interview
I flipped when I learned Joe Walsh is Ringo Star’s brother in law
Saw the James Gang in the early 70's, Joe played great guitar, but his Hammond organ playing in the second set was the highlight.
Kenny knew Bolin? That figures! Awesome stuff, Otis!

Wish the Rolling Stones would invite Marty Stuart and the Superlatives on Stage to jam with them on one of their Tours before it's too late.
That would be incredible because I've always felt like the superlatives are the American rolling stones.
You guys have lot to talk about, keep on keeping on !
Kenny such a cool dude, and fantastic player,
I was at that show at the Ryman...last min tix $25..only in Nashville!!

Yet Another Great Otis Gibbs Video (YAGOGV)!! Curious, what hotel are all these videos filmed at?
Any Tommy Bolin stories from Kenny Vaughan would be greatly appreciated
I love all of your guests - but Kenny is my most fave. Hey Kenny and Otis - let me know when you are on the left coast, we need to hang, I also have stories after booking clubs for 30+ years
Rocky Mountain Way was derived from Manassas and Stephen Stills Jetset… I might be wrong. Let me know if I’m wrong thank you.
Let's have some More Amy and Otis!
More Tommy Bolin stories, please! :)
Joe comes from that time period in which there weren't many pedals and your amps and guitar tone controls were your primary resource. Your fingers learn how to overcome certain limitations in that environment.
