A friend of mine was working in a convenient store and Jerry Lee came in one day. This was not far from his home. He noticed some cassette tapes for sale on the counter on one of those little carousels. Several of them were his music. So he asked my friend where did these come from,my friend said this guy comes by and sells them. So Jerry Lee said all of these are counterfeit and he took them all outside piled them up on the ground and set them on fire. And he said if anyone has a problem with that tellem the killer was here.

THANK YOU OTIS AND KENNY. I am a 75 year old from deep in the heart of Texas. Have seen Jerry Lee over 60 times. The only time he has disappointed me is when he did not show up. Can you name any other musician/singer who sings country, rock n roll, gut bucket blues, old standards, gospel, rhythm and blues all in his style? Kris Christopherson said Jerry Lee was the bravest man he has seen, he was not afraid to try anything in front of an audience. Rock on Jerry Lee !! Jerry Lee Lewis's country stuff is SERIOUS and his voice borders on OPERATIC. He has total command of EVERYTHING. A subtle shift in his tone in how he sings "You Win Again" can change all kinds of meaning to it- and you instantly know where he's coming from.
To say nothing of his piano playing, which of course is always melodic, jumpy, lively. and ON POINT.
Charlie Rich sang as if he knew he was going to hell, and he mourned it. Jerry Lee sang as if he knew was going to hell and he couldn't give a shit less.

My favorite Jerry Lee song: Rocking My Life away with a phase shifter guitar break by James Burton. Not to disagree but this record had nothing but studio musicians and backup songs

I was at the gift shop across the street from Graceland in 1990. As an aside, I asked the guy at the counter if there was a Jerry Lee Lewis gift shop around town. He said no, then proceeded to give me directions to the Killer's house. I didn't drive by - too busy - but it was still awesome.

We have a saying around here in WV..you’re either Jerry Lee or Johnny C..and if you grow up in WV you know what you are, it’s genetic..we’re Jerry Lee…I still remember the explosion of great balls of fire when I was a kid. I wasn’t even that tuned into music yet but in Appalachia the ground shook when that single was released..we could feel it in our blood

I had the pleasure of sitting at a Bar at a Club after a Marty Stuart Show and the place closed and sat down with Kenny Vaughan and talked for a hour. He talked mainly about his Life. Very interesting. I give a lot of Credit to Marty Stuart for pulling on some people at the Country Music Hall of Fame's chains to get Jerry Lee Lewis in the Hall of Fame this year. He was being ignored. Marty was raising attention to the Fact all the time.

I still remember the First time I saw Jerry Lee Lewis on TV as a kid in the late 60s.... I asked my father: "Who is that?!" I have yet to see anyone match that man on a stage.

Otis this might just be my favorite video this week! Love the Killer and Cousin Kenny. I’m pretty sure Kenny is a fellow Okie. You should ask him. I think he was born in Bartlesville north of Tulsa! Have you ever watch Jerry’s episode of Tales from the Tour Bus? If not it’s a must see on Prime. I think Jerry’s double album The Session...Recorded in London with Great Artists is about as good as it gets plus Albert Lee is playing guitar on it. Love it keep ‘em coming!

Fellow fans of Otis's, I hope someone can help me figure this out. There was a video where he talked about his and Amy's relationship and basically how they don't have labels and it was beautiful. They just sit down every year and decide if they want to keep doing it. That's inspiring just to not have labels and I was wondering if anyone knew which video that was?

My dad was a great fan of Jerry Lee Lewis and turned me onto “the Killer”, one of his favorites was @who’s gonna play this old piano and I’m dead and gone?” I’m gonna tell all my good friends that Marty Stewart birthday cake fiddle story … that’s too funny. so just thank you so much, Kenny is one of your best guests ever. I’ve enjoyed everyone of your videos, but especially those with Kenny.
