Sick. Jealous of that kid and happy for him. Those one controls are surprisingly useful. I have one just to take a loud fuzz and multimod unit out of sequence when I’m not using them.
Great video, as always! That " interfacer" there seems so tempting! BUT: I purchased 2 buffers from Creation Audio Labs, as you advised at the DIY buffer video, I also bought a rockboard mod 2 patch bay and... I made my own input and output buffer! And with the kleinulator that I purchased from the rig doctor e-shop , I buffered my fx loop too!! Thanks doctor!! Video coming soon!!!
I'd love to have the patience to run cables the way you do. I think I'd have a nervous breakdown before I got 2 cables routed. At least I'm soldering my own now that's a start.
As I said in the video, for the most part the aesthetics are just aesthetics, functionally as long as you’re observing the holy Trinity of tone, you’ll be just fine irrespective of how it looks
I do hear a difference between the board on and off but I think it sounds better with the pedalboard on. The highs seem to come out better, at least on RUclips.
It does, remember that with the board on that it’s buffering the output cable (30 foot Mogami) that’s not buffered on the direct signal and only being driven by the passive pickups.
Nice work Mason and I beat Ryan is happy 😃 , personally this video reenforced my thought that if you have more than 6 pedals you need a switch.. I struggle with the sound of those buffers stacking
Have you given the EUNA a shot yet? I highly recommend it! It's indispensable at my gigs. Makes volume roll off much nicer, the loop is very useful, and the 3 different filters are incredibly useful. I usually run bright and low simultaneously, but I will throw the harmonic on or turn off low depending on the venue. Very powerful if not even just for the buffer but just for that. Less twiddly than a seven band EQ.
HI Mason, Buffer, buffer, buffer, which ones can be used for an input buffer. Can the buffer on the Polytune tuner have been used as the input buffer for the rig if it is put at the front of the signal chain? Can a using a split-off for a tuner cause tone suck?
A buffer is not a buffer is not a buffer. Location of the buffer matters, quality of the buffer matters. You can watch several videos of our on buffers so you can understand more why that is. I'd say fewer than 5% of buffers out there are actually good and effective.
With the Pedalboard in your not seeing any of the capacitance of the output cable - it was a 30ft Mogami 2524 so that could also be part of it since the board is buffered on the output.
@@RJ_HTx Wireless! Beats a cable everytime for ME. I know a lot of flack for that answer but I'm wireless 15 yrs now so I finally quit looking to not trip on that damn cable again.

Mason...would you still recommend using an In/Out Buffer if using the Pedalboard with an Iridium or Walrus AC1 Only?
Input buffer for sure!
HI Mason, Buffer, buffer, buffer, which ones can be used for an input buffer. Can the buffer on the Polytune tuner have been used as the input buffer for the rig if it is put at the front of the signal chain? Can a using a split-off for a tuner cause tone suck?
The Polytune would be a good input buffer because it's also a tuner. A split off a buffer is OK.
Just a quick question, why would you need a buffer at the input and output when there is a bunch of pedals with buffers in them?
A buffer is not a buffer is not a buffer. Location of the buffer matters, quality of the buffer matters. You can watch several videos of our on buffers so you can understand more why that is. I'd say fewer than 5% of buffers out there are actually good and effective.

I’m surprised the tone was brighter with the pedal board and darker when bypassed.

@@VertexEffectsInc I loved it.

Do you really need an Aqua Puss Delay when you have a boss delay? Looking for that King Gizzard short delay freaky sound......
You can't quite get the DD-3 to get that dark or vibey...it's nice to have both if you just have single stompboxes.
