On that podcast you went on you mentioned FTW Purple. When I took my car to the dyno I purchased some VP racing c85. The other 15% is methanol and nitromethane (didn’t know at the time) My car made 30 more horse and 50tq than it should have made, at least lol worth checking out. It’s some spicy stuff. An independent channel on here tested it and it made similar gains over pump e85 with the same tune
The other 15% is not methanol or nitro. It is an oxygenated race fuel (likely some formula close to their ms109 fuel). Ftw purple actually had nitro which could pickup over 50whp on boosted applications and over 30whp on NA cars.

In this video the VP racing Rep clearly states it has Nitrometh and MTBE. I have 4 cans In my garage and it has warning labels for Nitrometh on the side of the can. Might want to look into it a little more because you’re just wrong man.
@@MillennialDad92 That's interesting, c85 is definitely a good fuel though, but ftw purple was really good and had a much higher percentage of nitro. To the point that even NA cars would drop fuel pressure and need a return style fuel system to run it. C85 octane is 106 and ftw purple is 120!!
@@rileyneufeld7001 I’m sure it was probably better, I don’t dispute that whatsoever. Just stating there is a fuel out there with nitro, I just happened to come across it by accident. but my gen1 with fbo ported mani and E85 SAID it made 499/462 on the dyno lol pretty sure that’s a little inflated. The day I went to get dyno tuned for E the pump by me was broken so c85 was all I could source to get the tune dialed in. It made numbers that didn’t make sense so I think the nitro in it definitely made a small difference lol

Also if its making more tq with cats itll make even more without them. Headers and free flowing exhaust will drop boost and increase hp and especially torque significantly. Those whipple setups are usually without cats and with headers.

It's 21+ not just 23s. It's not the whipple tunes that are the issue. They are are not affected. It's anyone that has a custom tune. N/A OR Boosted. I can conform because I had it happen to my 22 F150 with a Preaux Tune. Woke up one morning had a OTA update for the powertrain. Which revertered very thing back to stock and also changed the strategy # on the PCM. I had to have my tuner write me a updated tune for the new strategy # and relashed the truck. That was the first OTA that effected the tune. All of them before were for the BCM and little stuff like radio and other small stuff

Tvs > whipple on stock motor setups especially. They make similar power and more torque and better average power than the Whipple despite being less displacement. This isnt anything new. The whipple crowd are stuck in 2005 saying "twin screw is more efficient!" No the smaller blower making the same power and more tq is more efficient lol. The modern tvs stuff is badass especially for stock engine setups. Coyotes have such high compression they have to run lower boost and the whipple is kind of lazy at that low of boost and its a little large for a 5 liter engine imo. The 2650 is sized better for the engine and has better tq and response.

@@midnight347 I have a Bank's Derringer on my 2018 Chevy 2500HD and you can't use On Star when it is plugged in, but I wouldn't count on it working on the Mustang.

Ive driven the S650 roush. Its aight, but it’s lacking power and will never keep up with my Darkhorses with the stage 2 whipple. My auto DH made 958whp on E30. That’s not at the “butt hole” that’s at the wheels. Read that again
