I was deployed to a combat zone. We had a sony boombox in our humvee with a pride and glory cassette. Every time we left the compound it was blasting "Losing your Mind".
I am so proud of Zakk for sobering up and for continuing to be an entertaining guy.
'Miracle Man' because it's the moment we first saw him on TV. And he was so damn good man! I was 9 years old, and I still remember watching him on that video with open mouth. Ozzy owes him a lot as well. Zakk is the Guitar Hero of our days.

A guitar hero from the word go. I had ULTIMATE SIN on cassette, but it took some christmas and birthday money to get NO REST, lol. Pre internet, it was hard for kids to get a hold of the music they love sometimes. I lived in rural nowhere new england, if my older brother didnt have it I had to save up.
@@saltpeter7429 Very nice story indeed mate! As for me, I immediately had to convince my father to go to the local record store and buy it on cassette. We didn't have a turntable yet. And the solo on Devil's Daughter. Those were the really great times of Metal...

Zakk has always had a great vibe and authentic perspective on life and music. So grateful I got to see him with Black Label couple years ago. Killer live guitarist and his other guitarist is a beast too. Very good live band.

Zakk is the man ❤. EMG pickups rule. I just built a nice strat with stainless jumbo frets on a maple neck with maple fretboard and EMG 85 bridge and 60 neck. LOVE that guitar. Going to play it here in a minute!!!! ❤❤❤...

My first real guitar was a Washburn A20v Carlos Cavaza model with stock EMG's. After that got stolen I bought a Washburn RR11V which I IMMEDIATELY put an og HM-1in. Still have the guitar and pickup to this day. Every guitar I owned up until last year had EMG's My two favorite sets are the Glenn Tipton Vengeance set that lives in my BRS (Bill Really Sanded) my first build on my own. The second is the Zakk Wylde set that lives in "Thick Lzzy" which is a tribute build to Lzzy Hales signature explorers

Zakk speaks with his guitar, not so much with his words. His solo during Suicide Solution at the Moscow Music Peace Festival was what did it for me back in the day. It was clear he was something special.

Well said although for me it was the opening solo into Suicide Solution (i read some years later he called it the ‘Zakk Attack’). Watching Zakk at this (and recording it off the radio on to cassette tape and playing over and over until it warped and became unplayable) aged 14/15 was the whole reason I picked up the guitar. 👍🏻
favorite studio moment: When he realized he was not being asked to re-record Randy Rhoads guitar parts on the two Blizzard of ozz albums but he could stay and watch Robert Trujillo and Mike Borden do their parts.

Yes😆 that flat seasoning will spice yo azz😮 right on up. I too like all guitar shapes 😊. I LOVE Les Pauls but they're not comfortable for my playing. Flat radius frets boards and fat frets are what what I love but les pauls are just beautiful man. Same as fenders. Like art to me😊❤

The only time I’ve disagreed with Zakk the Iceman is the best guitar shape ! I agree they all can be good in the right hands and situations but the iceman does the extreme shape while maintaining a class very few shapes have to begin with the Iceman is “extremely classy” I guess
