I'm excited to try this! I took apart my friend's patio chair cushion to make a pattern for reupholstering. Now to stuff the stuffing in!!!!! Tufting the fibers must be the key, because mine was so lumpy after I just stuffed it in. Thank you!
It really depends what what filling you use because some hold up better than others. I would not put poly stuffing in the dryer. If you find that it gets lumpy over time, you could open up the pillow again and pull and re-fluff the stuffing like shown in the video.
I ‘d put the fiber turfts into sew into sew- in interfacing then into pillow cover. Makes changing out covers for washing easier. My pillows never look lumpy because I cover foam forms with interfacing. Foam is much more expensive but lasts decades.
