I don't understand this reference to Käärijä, there is nothing similar. 😅 This is pure 90's, and that's the whole point. 🔥🥰

I agree, this has more similarities with Gunther than Käärijä.

I think it is because Käärijä is the closest Eurovision reference to this. However, there are quite a bit of similarities in the show. Man with a lot of skin showing, the artist starting from inside a stage construct with a deep growly voice start, before the singing changing to a totally different style for the rest of the song, and the over the top dancers that double as props as well
It's not 1 to 1, but there are totally similarities

This song is soooo goood. Gonna blow up the arena for sure. The juries will destroy it tho. 😅
Great reaction, good to see you back.

The song was made 2 yrs ago, with 90's eurodance vibes. 😎 Windows95Man is actually an experienced DJ playing all kind of music and gigs, not a real singer. During gigs he's wearing a Windows-shirt, similar cap and very short denim shorts.. Inspired by overtly trendy party people in festivals. This has been his DJ image for ten years already. The singer and co-producer is Henri Piispanen, who is a pro singer, in many indie bands, also a Finnish voice actor in Paw Patrol among many other shows. 🙂
Concept of this song is to free yourself. Don't live by others' rules or expectations, don't let others judge you, have fun in your life. 💪The odd denim egg: this is after the national epic "Kalevala." In that book it is believed, that the world was born from an egg of a goldeneye. So, the singer Henri is like the bird with the egg. W95M is hatching from the egg pantless, and in the end he gets his shorts which descend from heaven 😄💥 This stage show was totally different compared to the others acts at the UMK 2024 (ESC tryouts). With humor, quirkyness and energy they won crushing by televotes. This year people seemed to prefer joyful live show instead of more serious ballad. 🤷‍♀

True there's so much going on 😂. They don't need Eurovision, Eurovision needs them. Beause rn it's just a drown in ballads and rock and what not, but then theres this 😂. it's fun, energetic, has a good melody, nice concept. Henri has pretty good vocals, no windowsman95 can't sing but he is very entertaining. It's a mix between fun and seriousness and I think that's okay. It's perfect for Euovision

Henri was not supposed to sing in the competition, but they couldn't find any guy who could hit those high notes he did on demo. So he was "pushed" into the UMK-competition, and once they won, you could see his face turn into solid shock- "what have we done!? what's happening!" They were the black horse, a delightful surprise. @@JKlover9727

Käärijä's Cha Cha Cha was NOT a joke entry!

Comedy is just as serious business as any, and by far not the easiest genre to operate in. You can't put a performance like that together without taking the performance seriously. Nor are humorous musical audiovisual performances a new invention. Here we have Charlie Chaplin acting in a scene during the silent movie era in 1925. Note the genius use of ordinary every-day items as a prop: "Charlie Chaplin - The Gold Rush - Roll Dance". Humor isn't a new element in Eurovision either. Here's Finland's Eurovision entry from 1978. Even the song's theme and title has same the ring to it as 'Cha Cha Cha' does: "Finland - Eurovision 1976 - Fredi & The Friends - Pump-Pump". To add the alcohol element, here the heart-broken actor/singer Samuli Edelmann is on a boozing tour around Europe in 1991, because Peggy left him. He has drank wine in Wien and many large ones in Lübeck. The song came second in Finland's Eurovision national final: "Samuli Edelmann: Peggy (live 1991)". In 1995 Samuli jumped into the sea from a cruise ship, but not because of Peggy, but as a result of a drunken bet. The same year as Lordi won the Eurovision, he acted in 'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol': "Which One Of You Is Wistrom? - Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol - 4K UHD". As an entry, Lordi represented a horror movie and Kiss fan. Some were thrilled, some horrified. Same applied to Elvis in 1956. He even jokes about the commotion over his performance by standing still for a moment before continuing to shake his pelvis in "obscene" fashion: "Elvis Presley "Hound Dog" (October 28, 1956) on The Ed Sullivan Show". In 2008 Finland's entry was a cheesy Spinal Tap like folky Power Metal band, Teräsbetoni, with a strong humor element: "Spinal Tap - Stonehenge" and "Teräsbetoni - Missä Miehet Ratsastaa (Finland) Live 2008 Eurovision Song Contest". Where men ride, no sheep can herd there. The singer of the band, Jarkko Ahola, has since gone on to have a successful solo career, and become also popular performer among the YT music reactors: "Jarkko Ahola Who Wants to Live Forever (Nightwish Rumor)".
